James, I'd swear you were an engineer in a previous life 😎👍 if I believed in previous lives. Really appreciate the technical breakdown and the heritage of this knowledge. This reminds me of another gift from our distant ancestors, maize. Many thousands of years ago, corn yielded almost no food. The North American inhabitants worked with it over many centuries to slowly change it into the very productive crop that feeds so many people today. Truly a gift from prehistory.
I love that stuff boats buildings boat docking and storage older houses and cabins please send it if the opportunity presents itself. Thanks young man…
The Philippines boat makers many years ago never buy epoxy to seal the boats. They made their own sealer from the sap of the tree called balaw and salong cooked together. My father used to sell the raw materials of balaw and salong. The balaw is liquid and it's sold by container. The salong are like harden wax and it's sold by sacks. The Philippines boat makers many years ago hardly buy materials. They simply use anything they can get from nature even paint brushes are made out of coconut palm. We had a big huge boat made from wood that carries tons of logs from Mindanao to Cebu. My father used to be the biggest logs and lumber supplier in Cebu and Bohol. All the shipyards in Cebu used magkono logs as drydocks.
In N Samar, I’ve seen boats in high seas full of water and 3 guys paddling them back home. Amazing how strong the boats are and how they will not sink with the out riggers. So nice to riding those home and seeing dolphins swimming next to you.
I feel safer in these bancas they can take water but would not sink and rarely flip over. Something they never mentioned about the advantage of solar is that you will never be afraid of buying all these electric stuff to make your life more convenient. Wonderfful episode
Thanks James very interesting. I’ll be in the Philippines late November so there be even more Texans there. I hope I can catch all the Cowboys games while I’m there.
That was pretty interesting about the boats. I could smell the food from here 😊 I could definitely hang out at the waterfall. Please check your Messenger, I have a serious question that I'd like your advice about.
very nice video.. I can't seem to find that brand of grill here in the states. ( strange ) I really wish my father would have tought me tagalog. please excuse my spelling. so, so beautiful where is that water fall ?
Kumusta yall ? I hope yall are well 💓 Hey Po id feel at home in that belly lineup at the end of this vedieo cuz bawahahahaha. I see your giving that grill a good breaking in brother. Hey have you had any problems with food sticking at all ??? My grill is a slick black finish that looks like yours but if i have the heat turned up high some foods will stick on mine i was just wondering . Interesting info on the boats hey you know the American Indians used canoes in early days made out of 1 piece big logs then ive seen some that had a frame work with skins or hides covering it . Its on cable but early in the morning. Anyway the boys suck this year maybe they need a new QB and coach.
Hey!2nd
Why dont they use a small Fin Keel on these Bangkas, wont it stabilize the craft and hold the ballast right side up?
Beaching would be problematic.
That was pretty interesting about the boats. I could smell the food from here 😊 I could definitely hang out at the waterfall. Please check your Messenger, I have a serious question that I'd like your advice about.
