I don't think SM didn't want to promote them. It's just that their ages limit the activities. Actually NCT dream are mostly when to variety show. It's also called promotion
open your eyes umm they literally didn’t have a comeback for 10 months.. they’re also pulled out from promoting in The Show, that Jeno MCs, also in Show Champion where they have the best chances of winning because of voting. All 5dream did the past 6 months was perform at festivals.. Renjun literally only had 1 solo schedule since debut. Not to mention their comeback clashes with digimons even with EXO, their labelmate.

Semini Abeykoon dude they were literally performing on a super wet stage just 2 months ago. Renjun NEVER had a solo schedule since he debuted 3 years ago aside from the foreign idol room episode with Chenle. They were literally on hiatus for 10 months. Dude I literally stan Dream and ult the China line, they were literally outside the music scene for such a long time. I don’t really care about them being promoted in the US but at least put them in shows that would utilize their talents. SM is literally not promoting them and WayV properly. Don’t even get me started with how SM mistreats their foreign artists especially their chinese ones
The chorus of boom remind me a lot of zimzalabim. I think there is a pattern in the choice of music producer, I totally feel the “Sm vibe” in this song.

They use a lot of different shots to make the same location look different. And quite a few scenes are open space with color changes. But these are all the distinct scenes:
- Road with orange stripes
- All-white room with columns
- Blue room in mansion

- Jeno in front of the bridge

- Jaemin in the library
- Orange/yellow background
- Grassy field
- Renjun painting scene
- Sports/track field
- Flower garden dance scene
- Jeno on the roof (likely reverse of bridge scene)
- Road with columns (likely same road as before but shot in a different direction)
But it seems like there are even more, as they change the props in the background and sometimes the way they are lit or the color scheme is changed as well. They make sure you never get to fully adjust to one scene before it is altered in some way, making the MV not boring for even a second. Whoever directed the MV as well as the editor is a genius.

They're actually pretty popular, at least in Korea. They were the first unit to get a music show win, the first unit to chart number 1 on korean streaming services, the only unit to get a daesang (and that's a really important award, all k idols dream to win) and they also hold the record for most TH-cam views in 24h for an nct sub unit (hopefully we'll beat the record now) and their sales are very impressive too. All of this is achieved with barely any proper promotions unlike 127. So yeah, dream is full of potential, can't imagine how far they can go if the company decided to invest more in them

they've always been the most popular group with the general public (+their individual fandoms and the dream fandom itself is incredibly huge and loyal), which is why they always chart better than the other units even with minimal promotion from SM. if SM promoted them properly, they could really be one of the top groups in korea and worldwide

Dream is THE superior unit, the fandom as a whole agrees on this because they are SO talented and multi-faceted at such a young age. They are amazing performers, vocalists, and have the most genuine and amazing personalities. They are so humble and down to earth and genuinely SO funny and creative. They also have the best chemistry since they literally grew up together and are best friends. They have a HUGE fanbase and could easily be going on tour and be as big or even bigger than 127 if SM actually paid attention to them and promoted them properly. We have been on edge for so long because we didn't know when or even IF we would get this comeback because we waited a whole 10 MONTHS with no news or updates of a comeback and barely any schedules for the members (some of them didn't get ANY) Anyways thank you for reacting to Dream and I'm really glad you enjoyed the video and song. Other random info: 2 of the members are actually actors as well, Eunwoo and Moonbin. Eunwoo has currently played 2 lead roles in some popular dramas and Moonbin is finishing up his first drama where he's a supporting character I believe (but his face has been on a lot of promotional stuff lol). Whenever Eunwoo gets invited to shows to talk about his dramas he always makes sure to talk about ASTRO and how much he loves his group. It's very sweet. Moonbin, Rocky, and JinJin are the dance line and all have had very interesting dancing backgrounds. JinJin attended NY dance academy in Illsan, Moonbin became a trainee at 11 years old and was known as being a look-a-like of an older, famous idol, and Rocky also became a trainee when he was 11 and at 14 he was making his own choreography. Rocky was also on the 1theK series Dance War where he placed 2nd. He's also a 4th rank black belt in taekwondo and I believe his parents are also dance instructors(? unless i'm thinking on someone else?). Sanha plays the guitar and was one of the first idols to debut with braces. They also had a very successful Japanese debut in 2019 but I think the mv is blocked in America :( sad.
