I can't wait for Killing Floor 3 coming soon. Just so you know incase you haven't figured it out, before starting the game you can choose a perk (class) and a gamemode. The perks decide what weapons you'll be using and give you special buffs. you used the berserker class which is why you had mostly melee weapons. I recomend you try playing again and maybe make another video on it playing the survivalist class (can use any weapon from any perk but lacks the same proficiency buffs with those specific weapons.) and play on endless mode instead of survival and see what round you can reach! Since you're a cod zombies fan, I think this would be the best way for you to play. (sorry for the long comment, I'm passionate about the game and want you to enjoy it.)
Adding onto this the Survivalist has a few weapons of their own that don't belong to any class like the killer-watt or freeze gun or whatever. As you level up any of the perks/classes they get better with added bonuses per level and a special bonus every 5 levels where you can choose between 2 buffs. For example either extra movement speed or extra health. Also the weapon wielder is actually the door welder it's for welding doors shut like sealing them the way you'd board up a window in cod zombies but more useful. The support class which mostly uses shotgun also makes you better at sealing doors and allows you to repair them when broken.
that learning curve is a bit steep, but when you get into the groove of it.... but yeah the biggest issue is you were playing berserker but going all over for weapons. you want a generalist then choose survivalist as your perk. Berserker is melee with a few gun options support is shotguns commando is assault rifles field medics are the hm tech weapons firebug is fire weapons gunslinger is pistols, both single and dual wield (minus the 9mm handgun, that's classed for all perks) sharpshooter is for long range rifles swat is smgs demolitionist is explosives survivalist is jack of all trades, master of none. they can use any weapon, but are never quite as effective as the class that specializes with it.

I have fond memories with that katana I would use it till the boss round then buy a RPG to fight the boss. Dang I can't wait till Killing floor 3
