It is good practice to fix something broken ...I have repaired a lot of things on cars instead of buying new parts ..I grew up poor so I fixed my own bicycle or did not have one
Now you more control over that switch. I have a few el cheapo flashlights, I have to cycle through them because the switches are so sensitive I miss the setting I want!
I gave a light to the neighbor kid that had the push button ..I got tired of pressing over and over to get what I want ..I have a better pen light has hi & low easy to use

Thanks ...I epoxied a plastic tire valve cap on the bolt and it looks like a switch knob
