Bears noting that it allegedly took this mod creator a year to make this character, and it shows. Like UMvC3, this sort of thing takes passionate people and a lot of man hours to get online. On the bright side, I have seen over 5 distinct mod characters added to FighterZ by this point, so the trend should continue.
@@RougeMephilesClone Hard to speak on the exact methods the creator used, but if the creator worked with future ports in mind over Dio's development process, the steps necessary to bring other characters, at least specifically from ASBR, are probably far fewer than in the process for the initial. Of course, he could well have just ported DIO over alone with little consideration for future projects, but even still it's unlikely that any character without an especially unique or game-changing mechanic would take *more* time than DIO did.

Been a PS4 MVCI player since Venom came out and a stylized 3D artist for possibly about 4-5 years. Seeing your work on MVCIB and all the really cool changes the game has just gives me back that spark for the game I haven’t had for ages and makes my artistic heart just leap in joy. I can’t wait to see further updates in the mod, but you guys can take it easy. No need to work yourself so hard now that the mod is out.
The "people complaining about throws and sameness" about SF6 im like where were you for like, all of Street Fighter?? If SF3 3rd strike was launched today, where matches are over in 15 seconds, thered be a bunch of complaining too. They literally made throws the easiest to tech in 6 they've ever been. I legit think theres a ton of "new players" that are actually teenagers with internet access that are growing loud enough to be seen as a "big part of the community" Also he said SF6 is a direct response to SF5 and that is true especially in terms of engagement, single player content, or attempting to get more people on board who just wanted a different kind of control option. I feel that about MK1 too in that its a DIRECT response to Mk11 casuals who dont like new things and direction going: "Not many combos and where is xyz character?" So they tried to just cram all that in and it makes sense considering how soon it was being worked on and out after the last game.
Even outside of JJBA, this makes me hopeful about other characters being modded into the game. Like, imagine if you could play as Oni from Street Fighter IV in DBFZ. The Destructive Finish being paired with his Ultra Combo II would be absolutely epic, lemme say.
I agree with you Max it started with MK1 community going back to mk11and all of the sudden T8 community going back to T7 and of course the SF6 players had to jump on the wave and go back to playing SF5 the problem is they doing it while dumping on the current game without realizing that a lot of new casuals will take that and just stop grinding and ultimate just drop the game all together which hurts the game itself in the long run
My main/major issue with SF6 is the post-launch support or lack there of. Weve got some serious content droughts compared to sf5. Over a year since we’ve gotten a skin? There’s a problem. We go really long periods between characters sometimes and there’s zero in between. It sucks. I want to be engaged, but I feel like I get nothing to encourage it. Meanwhile, Tekken is doing just fine with the post launch releases.
Honestly, I think Tekken 8 (mechanically) is in a good place right now, not great...but good. Other than plus on block heat smashes that goes into mixup or power crush heat engagers the rest is fine imo. No the problem I have with Tekken as of now is mostly balancing. Like to me it would be way better for season 2 if they'd nerf the problematic characters instead of buffing the weaker ones.
The only reason and the main reason why I hate street fighter is the micro transaction I want to be able to play with all the characters. The game has to offer for free like in the back in the old days so until then I’m OK.
You can talk about all the technical stuff and frame data you want, no one will ever convince me to go back to SFV with its terrible art style. The weird lumpy muscles and uncanny faces can stay in the past.

@@WzDk13 Guile does not play like Ken. The buttons you hit in the rush combos are not the same and you play neutral differently. JP does not have the same "kind of combos" as Juri. Honda and Blanka dont have the same combos as Manon or Marissa.

And the combo thing kinda mixes in with the cookie cutter gameplay they have with it consisting of drive rush or button into drive rush if it hits you get a easy basic combo or if its blocked ur plus on block so who cares. Neutral in this game just feels so bland and predictable with the characters all doing the same shit.
Well, no, vast majority of the characters don’t play similarly. Having a universal mechanic doesn’t make characters similar. This makes as much sense as saying “all of them can walk forwards and backwards, way too similar” would. But i get it, surely down mp, down mp into super in previous games on the other hand was peak game and character design.

I think is because of the avatar stuff. While I like the avatars in the game, I think that they should focus on the regular characters more.
