When you were kneeling and praising Gabby, loved the way she looked over at the camera a bit modestly, so sweet! I have a male GSD so I know how absolutely wonderful and intuitive they are.
Well done Gabby, and dad. Those are great animals. Intelligent, Loyal, Capable Friends. The story isn't at all surprising to me. There are so many accounts of German Shepherds doing great deeds for their family. It is great to hear another. On a personal note - I owe my life to a German Shepherd. I like dogs, but there's a special place in my heart and mind for German Shepherds that no other dog will ever occupy. Oh, they're also beautiful to look at. The expressions they make with their faces are just classic.
What a good girl she is! Gotta get Gabby a couple of big buddies for her safety, too. It’s nice to see someone that would give up a good video opportunity and actually tale action 👍🏻.
I too love this breed! And I totally agree with them being a great protector and loyal. Mine is now 8 1/2 yrs. and the bond we share just keeps getting stronger. Mine is also a female. I love how you openly express how much you love your dog. You're one proud papa! 😉 Great job Gabby! ❤
Excellent dog we got wolf from where I come from please get Gaby a spike collar, wolfs go for the neck first. My dogs in the mountain had them and it save them from bad bites. She will protect the kids and the colar gives her extra protection. 🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾
Excellent advice from your followers Dutch but especially heed the spiked collar suggestion for Gabby. A 2-3in wide spiked collar saved my dogs life when attacked by a pack of dogs/coyotes....without it & his vest he didn't stand a chance as he still got pretty chewed up 😥😥😥 Another piece of advice for Gabby's protection is to get her a doggy body vest like Police dogs wear when she will be outside and your are not home to be her backup 😉👍😁🐕🐕 I swear by both of these doggy accessories!
Suburb dweller here: German Shepherds are so loving and devoted. The pups definitely need training, consistency, and rules, but you get back so much. Fuzzy friend for life. Plus they keep the solicitors away!
We lived on 23 acres when I was a child and had 2 shepherds. They were the BEST family dogs ever! No one ever got close to me or my brother with them around. Much love to Gabby! ❤❤
That's right, German shepherd dog are the best when it comes protecting kids and family. They are intelligent, smart and sweet and with a bonus of human personality as well. That's why we always had German shepherd for our family. We have 3 German shepherd dogs now, Nala, Max(Maxine) and Mufa(Mufasa) and this are our 5th in count total all sine we start having German shepherd into our family. Our 1st Simba and 2nd Bruno died years ago while my husband still on military air-force, and he always have them when his overseas. Your Gabby are always hero into your family when it comes a protector. Best guard dog ever. Thanks for sharing a great story about it.
My parents bred German Shepherds when I was growing up. They are such an amazing breed. I have a Shepherd and love her so much! I foster for a lab rescue and have labs also. I will always have atleast one German Shepherd. Gabby is a gorgeous girl ❤❤
Some folks think the Belgian Malinois are the best dogs for protection but I agree with you...I've had a German Shepherd and I know how loyal they are...When I was 11 yo my dad passed and my older brother gave ours away because we had moved into a small apartment in town... My dog had never been there before. He was 20 miles away on a farm where my brother took him and he escaped and found us...LOL Best dog EVER!
I have Belgium malinois , shes a great dog. Had 12 pups two went for navy training for special forces. Two went to local cops, one is going for missing persons and the other one for drug detection. Either Belgium or German Shepherd great working dogs. She chases the coyotes away.

I love German Shepherd Dogs. If I ever moved out to the country that is the very first thing I would get. What a great family member. Gabby’s such a good dog! She deserves a hamburger! 🍔 I’ve never owned a GSD but our family had a Doberman for a while. But for living in the country I’d definitely pick a GSD over a Doberman. They are so smart and can learn to do so many things. They can hear and smell better than we can. They’ll know before we do if some stranger is creeping around. Only advice (and this is just what I’ve heard, not from direct experience), is get her a spiked collar. In case she ever gets into a fight, that will protect her. When dogs/wolves/coyotes fight each other, they go for the neck.
God bless Gabby, german shepherds are truly awesome! We've had two. I can confirm every kind word you said about them, they are loyal, brave, and strong, indeed.
I have a German Shepherd great dog. He is my second one first one died of kidney failure. I love her markings beautiful dog. I got mine because of peeping toms in my neighborhood.

I was home alone one night and two men were trying to break into our home. My German Shepherd heard them in the driveway, so she alerted me and then she scared them off bc she was so ferocious growling and snapping at them. These dogs will protect you at all costs..best dogs ever.

Brenda Strand Rigdon why do you think Dawn Keener was peeing in someone’s Cheerios just because she was sharing about her wolf dogs? I just put my best friend down the day after Thanksgiving 2020. It wrenches my heart out to have to think about her while writing this, but she was just like Gabby except all white. She was a badass and she fell in love with me from the minute we brought her home from GS Recue of Northern California. She would lay down upstairs with her ears to the floor so that she could hear whatever I was doing. She weighed in at between 85 -90 lbs. God I miss her terribly. I've seen a lot during Viet Nam and lost a lot of friends, but that pain doesn't even come close to what her absence brings. She had hip dysplasia that took her away in less than a year. . . . . gotta go. German Shepherds were God's first response to Man's best friend . . . . . . not wives ! ! ! !
Smiling as I watched this..... as a widowed mom with seven children....I have always had German Shepherds in my home----I have three at the moment. They would lay down their life for me in a heartbeat......No human save those I gave birth to has EVER loved me like they have. Ever.

I have a Black 50/50 mix Black Lab/ Golden Retriever, weighs like 90lbs. Except for his close dog friends, he hates other dogs, squirrels, chipmunks, rabbits, woodchucks, ect. All I have to do is yell protect me and you'd swear he turned into a grizzly bear, He's nuts and I never trained him to do that. Loves every human like crazy though, thank God ! lol SMASHED.
I had a malamute mix that I got from the pound. She was taken from her previous owner twice because they didn't take care of her and used her for breeding the second time they had gotten friends to get her from the pound and they tied her up with swing chain that actually grew into her neck. She was my absolute protector no one could get near my home without her chasing them off. I was in a verbally abusive relationship and he learned quickly not to raise his voice to me if she was inside. she destroyed the back door trying to get in to protect me one time. She was never trained to do it but she immediately bonded to me and felt she had to protect me with her life. I miss her so much

I slept through the whole thing, but there was blood on the doors, and they were on the run because the doors were left wide open and the gate was left open. @@C4DeadCharge rottweilers are literally way better for protection , I own both and anyone who knows dogs knows a rottweiler is all bite while a gsd just barks and folds under pressure unless professionally trained.

I have also been rescuing dogs for decades and she is my 3rd SD, the only one though that I take beyond the home, the others were mostly staying at home since my kids were younger they were my gophers and such. I actually bought her from a local farmer so I saw her parents and their behaviors as I was nervous using this breed as an SD, mostly because of my limitations, she has been great and taught me and the family a lot. She gets plenty of exercise inside and outside as she is super active but can be a couch potato. Good luck and praying it all goes well for you.
@@analarson2920 Thanks, I might work on some of those things with my next prospect. My SD is no longer in training so going to stick to what she knows for now. I was a little confused with one thing you said, so she doesn't listen when alerting? Kinda confused on that, if I'm hearing it right then you could be kicked out of a public area for that.
There are so many accounts of German Shepherds
doing great deeds for their family. It is great to hear another. On a personal note - I owe my life to a German Shepherd. I like dogs, but there's a special place in my heart and
mind for German Shepherds that no other dog will ever occupy. Oh, they're also beautiful to look at. The expressions they make with their faces are just classic.
You can't beat German Shepherrd's, they are loyal and loving and would protect you from anything if she thought it was going to harm you.
I think cattle dogs will beat them, my brother was bitten by a German shepherd

Yes please keep her safe she did it for love
A lone wolf would be ok but not a pack
Excellent advice from your followers Dutch but especially heed the spiked collar suggestion for Gabby. A 2-3in wide spiked collar saved my dogs life when attacked by a pack of dogs/coyotes....without it & his vest he didn't stand a chance as he still got pretty chewed up 😥😥😥
Another piece of advice for Gabby's protection is to get her a doggy body vest like Police dogs wear when she will be outside and your are not home to be her backup 😉👍😁🐕🐕
I swear by both of these doggy accessories!

Some folks think the Belgian Malinois are the best dogs for protection but I agree with you...I've had a German Shepherd and I know how loyal they are...When I was 11 yo my dad passed and my older brother gave ours away because we had moved into a small apartment in town... I love this story 😭😭 please give Gabby a big kiss from me all the way from Dublin Ireland 🇮🇪. I’m getting a new German Shepherd puppy on Sunday and I can’t wait 😍. My father always had German Shepherds when we were grown up so I know just how intelligent and loyal to breeders 🥲. My dog passed away in March he was a Staffordshire bull terrier, and I swear it left me heartbroken 💔 he was like my child , he was 16 years+ so I have to keep reminding myself that we gave him the best life. I love German Shepherd Dogs. If I ever moved out to the country that is the very first thing I would get. What a great family member. Gabby’s such a good dog! She deserves a hamburger! 🍔
I’ve never owned a GSD but our family had a Doberman for a while.
Dogs are the best
God bless Gabby, german shepherds are truly awesome! We've had two. I can confirm every kind word you said about them, they are loyal, brave, and strong, indeed.

She had hip dysplasia that took her away in less than a year. . . . . gotta go. German Shepherds were God's first response to Man's best friend . . . . . . not wives ! ! ! !
