Oh poor Lily. She is such a feisty little dog with a big personality. She doesn’t let her size exclude her from fun on the farm. I have always been amazed how she keeps up with Gabby, the vehicles and the general work on the farm. She is so quick. Hope her damaged pride and fear become a distant memory soon. You are correct in saying that Gracie has become too physical in her play for such a tiny bundle of joy.
Our cocker spaniel acted the same after accidentally running up on a bear in our yard. The trauma lasted for days of shivering and jumping from unexpected movements or sounds. He did recover but always stuck close to us thereafter. Hope she is feeling better soon.

Defo keep an eye out for coyotes and other predators when Lilly is out, I had a coyote chase my male catahoula one night while he was out doing his late evening business. He's the size of a labrador and obviously due to his size, I didnt expect anything would try and get him. Especially a coyote. My dog started barking in the dark, I went out to investigate and see where he was out, he ran back to me with the coyote in toe. Coyote didnt notice me at first and basically ran to my feet where my dog stopped. Then it looked up to me and ran off. I cant imagine what would have happened if my dog was half the size he is. Probably would have ended up being lunch.
Good job Gabby! I hope that Lily is on the mend! I have a small 3lb dog & the dog weighing about 17lbs injured my little guy while they were playing. Internal bruising and the back end was very tender. Now it is no more rough housing!

We had the same sort of thing happen with out terrier a few days ago. She and the one pup of her's that we kept (he's full grown now) were outside and a neighbor's pit bull came up and went after our two dogs. The terrier got bumped/pushed/maybe attacked by the pit and the pup went psycho on the pit! Basically kicked that pit's butt and scared it off. The terrier seemed okay that day, but the next day she was shaking and just like your terrier, was nervous and not like herself at all...tail down and withdrawn. She got better after a couple of days and is back to herself, but I think, like you do, that she was scared and maybe even got a reminder that she's not "all that and a bag of chips." But her pup!!!! Boy, he is a little terror when he's protecting or gets to playing a bit too seriously!! They're both loving dogs, playful and affectionate... a bit too "barky" though that's a problem with smaller dogs anyway. Their alligator mouths get them into things their butterfly butts can't back up.
Andrew Keeton in case you didn’t know small dogs get cold very quickly, I have two small dogs. That’s the reason they make sweaters for them. We have hair on our head but still wear hats in the winter!

closer to the city areas people will feed abandoned dogs. So they are more likely to be able to be rehabilitated. Wild dogs are unpredictable. They are looking for food. His dogs did good in protecting them. This is a sad thing I love dogs too. Check out hope for paws they do rescues.

In a right triangle, A squared (short side) + B squared (short side) = C squared (long side).... 3 squared (9) + 4 squared (16) = 5 squared (25)... You can use multiples too.... 6, 8, and 10... 9, 12, and 15... But it is a great rule of thumb to making sure you stay on square... Glad Gabby is on guard... She did good running it till it was a not a danger to anything... And then coming back off the hunt when you told her to return... Good job... And good luck with the coop !
So glad Lilly is ok. Getum Gabby! Scary situation but that’s how it is out there. Even in my rural city backyard my German Shepard went after & tore off a trespassers pocket when he came over our fence & back over again. Never had a problem after that. I look forward to the new coop build. Just found out I can have a few chickens in my huge backyard. I might need advice 😉 Prayers for you & family.
Gracie's is to big to pounce her. You need to tell Gracie ...no... be gentle. I have a huge shepherd and my daughter has a terrier that is 12#. We had to let the shepherd know not to jump on her when he got bigger. You will have to watch closely until Gracie understands.
Hi Dutch, Yeah Gabby was in defend property mold but not in an attack mold with lack of growling. And I'm glad do see that you took some great advice from our comments and started the chicken coop with a great foundation. You mentioned earlier that you might want to move the coop around that's why the 4x4" skids. But I didn't noticed you cutting a 45 degree angle on the ends to help prevent plowing. Also, when done that coop out of all wood will be difficult to move because it will be heavy. I suggest that you mount a tow hook/loop at the end where you will tow from so your tractor or pickup truck can assist when it's time to move it. A great movable coop idea is Al Lumah's "New YOLK City" chicken coop. :D
I see alot of comments saying help the dog and help strays. The man does enough instead of making a comment you go and help strays. A stray or not gabbie did her job period. Stray or not it was a threat and got dealt with.

Been waiting all day for this video. Love watching the dogs run and play. Hope Lily gets back to her old self. I’m sure the girls have been really upset.
Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas 😊
Lol! German Shepherds are great for chasing away those strays! Our German Shepherd is the same way. Hope Lily is ok. Great video! 👍👍
Please just call it 3 4 5 method hahaha, thanks brother.
Actually named “pythagoras theorem” I believe 👍🏻
I just followed you! What a pure video! I absolutely love real life people that have soul and I appreciate your content! Great job!
Thank you 🤗
Way to go Gabby! I think Lilly will be ok but I'm still praying for her bc prayer I strongly believe in.
I am so glad Lilly is ok to
Cool man you got the best dog ever
Gabby to the rescue..
Once again..🙌
I can't believe you let her run around without being on a leash. An eagle or hawk anything could get her I'm thankful shes OK
Awww poor Lily she look like she is shaking. Your just a big softee Dutch lol xx
Wow, did she ever jump when you picked up that generator and turned it. She is royally scared.
I noticed that to
Some little dogs just do that sometimes. But, it could be she is really nervous right now.
Hope isnt okay. Going take to the vet check. Out
Good girl Gabby. She's a brillant girl knows her job well xx
What a great guard dog you have there Dutch! She's a keeper for sure and deserves and extra scratch behind the ears.
GOOD Job Gabby!!!!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Gracie's is to big to pounce her. You need to tell Gracie ...no... be gentle. I have a huge shepherd and my daughter has a terrier that is 12#. We had to let the shepherd know not to jump on her when he got bigger. You will have to watch closely until Gracie understands.
Poor little Lillie. She looks so pitiful. She could be sore from Gracie playing too rough. Way to go Gabby!!
3:26 A dog will tuck its tail and shiver when it's hurting inside too. 😔💔
