I meant to tell you this in your last video, but when you cut your tailgate with the saw you exposed bare metal and it will rust VERY easily. A quick fix would be you paint the raw edges with some touch up paint, I think you can buy some in a spray can, but even just manual touch up paint just to seal the edge would help a ton. You could also get away with applying bondo into the slice, sanding it and around it, and then just painting that small surface with some rustoleum automotive paint, because it’s white it would be easy. Inexpensive and saves you from replacing the entire tailgate when it inevitably rusts, considering your weather conditions.
The Bible says there's a God who created this beautiful world and He also created you and I in His image. That's why we're different frm the animal kingdom. We're a tripartite being consisting of body, soul & spirit. When we die, our body decays & turns into dust, our soul shuts down (no more emotions or feelings) and our spirit goes to meet God our creator to give an account of our lives on earth. We're on transit in this world!
You did a great job with your truck build out Jonathan! I love following you and your adventures. Thank you for being so humble and for including any mistakes. It keeps it real for me to know I don't need some elaborate set up to get out there and enjoy the good stuff.
You always capture such beautiful footage! It’s so beautiful, it almost doesn’t seem real. You’re on the right track…too wonderful to be randomly accidental. Watching you whip up your gourmet meals is one of the reasons I am team Yentch all the way!
Hi, I always enjoy watching your videos, because they make me happy and inspired. I noticed in this video and a previous one that you often struggle to start your Mr Budy Heater. You should turn it to the pilot setting, then press and hold it for like 20-30 seconds so that the propane can make its way into the heater. Release the button and press it one more time to spark the flame and you're all set :) Keep going making such a great videos. So many people enjoy it. Thank you for doing that. Martin
The 45th parallel runs through Oregon. I remember crossing it through Oregon and seeing a sign for it and it said it was the halfway point between the equator and North Pole. So it makes sense the sun sets so late.
Tip, when rinsing rice , use a plate on top as cover and hold, like cover while draining water out of little space. IF you don’t have a lid. And and dinner looked great!
I rarely ever comment on anyone’s video. But I have been watching your channel for a while now and must say you have come such a long way. I am referring to your video editing. Excellent.
Nice setup you have now. Ya ain’t gonna let anything cramp yo style. Snow scenes are fantastic. I love the Salmon dish with rice and Bok choy. Such memories and more to come.
That's kind of cool. During your opening monologue/video intro, it almost looks as if you're standing in front of a green screen. Amazing scenery. There's no doubt a Mighty Creator made that for his children to enjoy. "For what can be kown about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that He has made. So they are without excuse."
I went to Mt. Rainier years and years ago and on Father's Day as we went up the mountain there was a ton of snow it was so peaceful up there. Love watching all ur adventures. 💜
After watching you cook in your new setup, I thought about something you may not have thought of. With the low profile of the stove, you have room to cut off some of the sides and put a cutting board on it with hinges that would still allow you to open and close the drawer. Then when you are ready to cook slide the drawer out as normal then lift the cutting board remove the stove, close it, and have a surface to either cut things up or just a place to put instruments, pots pans, plates, while cooking. Just something to think about.
Nothing like cooking in the great outdoors. In this case, with the convienience of a truck with all the equipment. Aww, the sizzling of that salmon is so much more out there.. ..wait, there's more...what a chef!....What more, after a day of snow-shoeing in the snow with great views! I wish I could be there.....The irony, about the new-found chair..thanks for the laugh. Great photography, throughout.
Great build. I have a simple setup in my tacoma (with a moving blanket too) when I need to move around quickly from one area to another. Couple of Buddy heater tips for you. Hold the pilot button down for 15 to 20 seconds. Release, then push down to ignite. Works great. Put a small portable fan above and behind the heater. Pushes the heat around and prevents it from getting things too hot, like your roof carpet, above it. Great job with the salmon. I would have cooked it in the Mayo for an even better flavor. Cheers.
You need to put one of those battery lights on the top hatch of your tailgate if you do your dark time of year cooking there. Those are really cool lights! Think I'll check them out at my local Harbor Freight store!
This seems so unbelievable here in Australia where we go camping in 45 - 50 oC and our biggest problem is the Fly’s and has the stupid fridge kept the beer cold. I noticed your ice box to stop the food from freezing, hilarious. A very very old piece of knowledge! Cave men always had the fire at the back of the cave and slept in front of it (I’m a Gasfitter so know about carbon monoxide) they had learnt there was danger in not having fresh air between you and the fire.
I always think when you do those long shots of you walking how much time and effort they take . It would be funny to see the uncut version as you obviously have to walk all the way back to collect the camera . Very much appreciated. Karma decided to gift you that chair 👌.
What a great time. The Pacific Northwest is sooooo awesome! The build looks extremely efficient.and that bowl you made I am going to make at home sometime this week. Thanks for taking us along. Really good content Jonathan. 🙋♀️☺️
Lp is liquid propane it will freeze up sometimes whenever mine is a pain to start I just put a hot hands on top for a few minutes and it should work. Glad you took the packing blanket advice
yeah my partner had our mr. buddy on a shelf in our camper and now there's a burn mark on the ceiling so definitely don't want it close to a ceiling or under anything where the heat will burn the bottom of it
Ur right bro. It wasn’t accidental! God the creator of the earth made all this happen for us to enjoy! So glad you enjoy it and take us along! God bless.
You should check out stadium seats for a low profile backrest/chair. They can be found fairly cheap. I keep a couple in my trunk and they can be use as a short sleep pad in a pinch.
salmon bowls are the way to go, so simple yet so versatile! car campers are also the way to go :) been loving mine and the fact that it makes any type of trip feel a little more "homey"
i like how you moved on from the camper and showing people that you can really do anything if you put you're mind to it thanks man it's been real keep up vids
The Professional is one of my favorite movies. My daughter's middle name is Maitilde (spelled different) after Natalie Portman's character. I enjoyed your posting.
Jonathan, congrats on your new truck! I thought you had given up on van life, period. So good to see you're still going strong with it! And by the way, I really enjoy your videos; keep up the great work!!! :-)
That chair you found did turn out to be just what you needed. Sucks that the seat ripped, but since it was free, I would just replace the seat area with some canvas fabric. Cheap fix for a chair that is the perfect size already.
New subscriber here....This is the first video I've seen from you and I love it. That snow on the mountain you hiked up was so satisfying to watch. I can't wait to binge watch your previous videos. Stay safe.
I have a buddy heater and I have to hold the button for a couple seconds to get it to light it will not light if I press and let go like you did. I have to give it time to release the propane then spark the pilot it take 2 to 3 seconds but so far as long as I have enough fuel it starts up everytime and I've now used it roughly 20 x camping this year.
I'm from the city the concrete jungle.. All I have to worry about are birds and squirrels..I'm not use to the wilderness,It does look nice but I'd be worried about some wild animals out there like a bear wanting me for dinner as I casually cook out the back of my truck... Food looked delicious by the way Great video.
Nice basic KISS truck build. So funny, but time and time again I see everyone, including myself!, Go back to the simple basic kind of no build set up. I went through so many different build renovations until I got fed up with all the STUFF. I went back to a simple low platform bed and Plano storage box containers and life became incredibly easier and simplified. Easy to move stuff around, to get to the things I need, and not get overwhelmed with digging through a bunch of shit. I also notice I really like camping a lot more because it’s a get up and go easy space.
You are a very good cook bro!! I got ideas 💡💡💡 now!!!cool 😎😎 channel .I'm inspired,I'm gonna do that.i lived in a camper for a year in a half but not traveling.!!
That looks SO DELICIOUS!!😋 As for your Rice, not as much FUN and Challenging, but if you popped out your water using the lid, you'd have less chance of losing so much Rice 🤪😄
So that is what happened to my beach chair!! Went back to get it and it was GONE. I would like it back please......Just kidding. I enjoy all your videos. Be safe!

I had thought about it too, and meant to comment but didn’t. Great advice as once rust starts, it’s terrible to get rid of and costly.
Great advice!
Lol I wanted to get out my lil mig welder and weld it right up after he did it! 🤣

I thought the same thing. I’m sure he’ll get it taken care about f.
“The world is so beautiful, it can’t of just been created by some accident”-
Very true.

Lol the story arc of ur "new" chair had me in stitches! ... Torn stitches 🤣💕✌
You did a great job with your truck build out Jonathan! I love following you and your adventures. Thank you for being so humble and for including any mistakes. It keeps it real for me to know I don't need some elaborate set up to get out there and enjoy the good stuff.

You should get a rubber mat bed liner. I have one and it works great for insulation and keeps things from sliding around.
You get a good workout with snow shoes. Beautiful area.
You sure do!

Wow!!! Seriously you are such a good cook!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you kindly!!!
For cleaning the rice just use your hand as a strainer its what my mom has done forever! You can also use your pot lid to help.
Nice setup you have now. Ya ain’t gonna let anything cramp yo style. Snow scenes are fantastic. I love the Salmon dish with rice and Bok choy. Such memories and more to come.

That beautiful landscape and intricate design was no accident! Our creator wonderfully made that! I am enjoying your pictures and videos!

No doubt, You and that chair were meant to be.
Thanks for another good episode and nice job on the truck.

This was a big difference from the first time you camped out in the first camper you had much more comfortable two thumbs up 👍 👌 👏 😀

Oh my goodness, that’s where my chair went! I’ve been searching for it. Now i know who “SNAGGED” it! 😂😂
I’ve been meaning to watching this vide, but I’ve been busy. The thumbnail and title are perfect, this video will get views.
Hey man, your photography is next level. Unbelievable. Now continuing at 06:51. I’ll probably keep feeling the same way for the rest of the video.
bro, you're an artist with that cooking and presentation. you should start cooking series.
The Frame Of The Chair Is Still Solid Buy Some Material I Would Go Leather And Sew Up A New Seat

Truck topper looks nice, hmmm good find on the chair, LOL RIPPED THE CHAIR. UGH . Great Food!! WOW!!
I always think when you do those long shots of you walking how much time and effort they take . It would be funny to see the uncut version as you obviously have to walk all the way back to collect the camera . Very much appreciated.
Karma decided to gift you that chair 👌.
Reminds me of Les Stroud, makes it 3x as much work
I enjoy your videos very much....your a excellent cook...you seem to have a very good head on your shoulders...keep them coming......thanks....
I’ve been enjoying this channel. Good stuff bud.
What a great time. The Pacific Northwest is sooooo awesome!
The build looks extremely efficient.and that bowl you made I am going to make at home sometime this week. Thanks for taking us along. Really good content Jonathan. 🙋♀️☺️
Cool set-up you have, Johnathan! Aren't there bears out there? I've watch too many A&E "I survived" shows! LoL Your salmon bowl looked amazing too! TY
Keep a spare grill lighter. You can light the pilot a bit easier with that when it’s cold.
Damp Rids are excellent for moisture control. Nice set up.
One of your nicest videos. Beautiful scenery and great food. Enjoy the adventure!
Love the van set up and that meal was pretty impressive! Thanks for sharing!
Lp is liquid propane it will freeze up sometimes whenever mine is a pain to start I just put a hot hands on top for a few minutes and it should work. Glad you took the packing blanket advice
You're such a nice young man. Your parents must be so proud.
Yes, nature rocks! Glad you are out there enjoying it. And hey, that's my chair! 😂
Sure happy to see you going camping again.. I enjoyed I can live this way...
yeah my partner had our mr. buddy on a shelf in our camper and now there's a burn mark on the ceiling so definitely don't want it close to a ceiling or under anything where the heat will burn the bottom of it

Ur right bro. It wasn’t accidental! God the creator of the earth made all this happen for us to enjoy! So glad you enjoy it and take us along! God bless.
Wow you bought a new truck. I watched your video from where you left your apt. Good videos. Thanks.
You can take the grate off that heater, turn the grate around so it’s flat and heat your kettle on it.
So great to be one with nature and so good for the mind and the body good hike great lights!! the chair keeps you off the floor!!!❤️ great find
You should check out stadium seats for a low profile backrest/chair. They can be found fairly cheap. I keep a couple in my trunk and they can be use as a short sleep pad in a pinch.
Thank you so very much for a beautiful landscape. And you cook up a mean meal! Be well.
During winter such cooking is o.k. However, when spring arrives, I would be worried that all the food prep would attract a hungry 🐻 👍💯
1000th like. I enjoy watching your videos man keep up the good work!!
Your little chair has a little tag on it that says Aloha, which also means love. It was kismet.
I've been a little busy lately, but I will definitely watch this video very soon-looking forward to it!🍿Take care out there!🏔️☕
salmon bowls are the way to go, so simple yet so versatile! car campers are also the way to go :) been loving mine and the fact that it makes any type of trip feel a little more "homey"
I'm always intrigued by your meals. I would love to see a cookbook someday. Your style of cooking is what I like.
I like your setup. That chair is perfect.

I think it’s good you built out back of your vehicle. You never know where the road leads. Come to Texas.
Jonathan, congrats on your new truck! I thought you had given up on van life, period. So good to see you're still going strong with it! And by the way, I really enjoy your videos; keep up the great work!!! :-)

Now at 10:30 you are blessed. Should have bought a lottery ticket. But then, what do we know!! Carrying on …

We need to see some desert camping! cant wait for the new build soon
I do this in my vintage RV!
the camera quality looks superb.. funny story about the chair! proud of you!
Make a list of what you need, go to a goodwill or flea market and look for it there. You will find good deals.
Other than that all the food I've watched you cook since I started watching a year ago all looks really good.!!!
Enjoying your videos. You are so cute and funny. Jasmin rice is my favorite. I like it with lots of butter 🧈. Keep up the good work.
The movie is my favorite!!!!! Love your video, it’s adventurous,
That looks SO DELICIOUS!!😋
As for your Rice, not as much FUN and Challenging, but if you popped out your water using the lid, you'd have less chance of losing so much Rice 🤪😄
bro love the new set up and the topper matches your truck perfect thanks for sharing the adventure
The professional is a badass movie
Your salmon bowl is wicked!
Nice setup 👌 dude, I would've built a snowman to lol. You should the boil in the bag rice it's great for camping.
On a serious note, you can easily use clothesline rope or paracord from the dollar store to make a new seat for your chair. Aloha! 🤙🏻
So that is what happened to my beach chair!! Went back to get it and it was GONE. I would like it back please......Just kidding. I enjoy all your videos. Be safe!
Hi Jonathan jus seen your video it's pretty good love the traveling camping out & going places .keep on Sharing more videos ❤ it!
I want my green aloha chair back. Do the right thing...
That chair was a sign that you are on the right path
Good video!
I’m happy to see how well your channel is doing with subscribers too!👍🏻
A truck bed pad would really help with insulation !😀
