Awesome! When running uphill, try landing closer to the forefoot but MAKE SURE you drop the heel to kiss the ground with each step. This way, you can stay tactile with your feet while also keeping your calves and achilles from getting strained.
Hey Michelle & Shannon, you can actually gauge your incline using a treadmill. The numbers on the treadmill incline almost 100% of the time indicate the percentage of the hill gradient. For example- 5.0 incline on a tread would equate to 5%. From there you can measure how you feel running on that versus the hill you're next on outside... pick a few good ones near you and go crush those workouts!
I’m a little confused. Don’t we want to stay low to mimic drive phase for a bit during a hill as well!? I progressively become more upright as I run up the hill
Hi bother, your video on hill sprinting is good , but doubt in mind is that if we train for long distance so would it help for short or 1600m or 3200m else for short other workout.
Hey there! A lot of our 5k stuff could be applied to training for a 3k as well. But if you're looking for total Beginner Running Training, maybe give our Beginner Running Plan a closer look. Let me know if you have questions! therunexperience.com/training-plans/beginner-running
Hey there! Totally understand that the weather doesn't always lend itself to beautiful outdoor running conditions. Treadmills can be great tools for training. And of course.... running anywhere is better than not running at all. We like the TrueForm treadmill a lot....a good simulation of outdoor running with less impact on the joints. Check it out!
Oh that is awesome! I live in the Fort Collins/Loveland area. Boulder was my old stomping grounds for a few years! I still work there a couple days a month. Any good trails you recommend?
One correction here - the world's top sprinters do not drive their arms above their head, they wouldn't be top sprinters doing this. Those who sprint will know the mantra, short lever, long lever. Short arm recovery close to face, big drive back.
@@chatsheetgetbanged6300 i have been running for the past three years. My feet hit flat-ish, but I've been seeing that you are supposed to be running on toes or on the front pads of you feet. I was asking for clarification. Not mockery!!!

Hi! Could you please make a video about how to run on a treadmill or talk whether it is safe to train on one? Weather in Russia works against me.
