I just made a Nerf Shield (I wonder it there's a VikiHow article about Nerf shields). Just flatten a Hyperfire box and put some Duct Tape as handles. There are 2 options of holding it: when your arm is horizontal and when it's angeled about 45 degrees up. It worked well durning testing but I'll have to test it in a battle.
Just did this myself made it out of a massive lid for a big container 4‘ x 1‘ I also added pockets made out of duct tape for magazines and darts and add some foam to the duct tape handles for comfort

I use the rubber band method cause of the impact explosion, but i made my own launcher for it: 1- get a lightsaber that telescopes out when the switch is pressed 2 - tape a paper towel roll to the end of it 3- set up the grenade, and put it snug but loose in the front 4- shoulder the launcher, flick the switch Grenade should travel atleast 15ft without angling, plus you get the sound effect from the lightsaber turning on, which more epically, sounds like a rocket launching
for the disk grenade, only use one rubber band and only use 8 vortex disks in total. Then you can put the 6 disks stacked and then two on the sides of the "tower". use a good sized rubber band, you may have to try some different ones, but find one to your satisfaction.
This guy needs to know, that humans naturally evolved to be really good at throwing, so an adult would be able to throw such a light projectile with incredible force, making it go off

You do realize that you wont be simply dropping the grenades from 2 feet, you will be throwing them at presumably high speeds. I think that foing a 2 foot drop simply shows how selective the grenade is as it will not simply explode from jostling, which is something you dont want a grenade to do whilst in your pack or being held

That rubber band grenade actually works a lot better with Megas I think since they have the old whistler heads that hold onto the band just right. it doesn't really have much more effectiveness beyond just throwing a football sized projectile though.
I made a "nerf grenade" that actually works really well, but DOES hurt a bit. I have these triangular magnetic pieces, coated with plastic. I made a very wide cone, stuffed it with nerf/rival darts, then placed another cone on the top, enclosing the contraption. Throwing it against the ground provides enough force for the magnets to break off from one another, causing them and the darts within to go flying in every direction, very likely hitting nearby targets.
Putting a rival round in the middle of the bundle on the variant that involves the 2 rubber bands and the darts might be enough to give it bump into 'detonating', or maybe putting the rival round on the tips with a bit of tape, so if it lands head first, it'll go off.

I just put a few pop-its in a paper grenade. And you can judge weather you got hit based on how close the sound seemed.
With the 3rd option I recommend using 7 darts in a circle and a hair tie instead of a rubber band

I tired the darts and bands one. It was affective up 30 feet away and kind just fires a cloud of darts
i personally use the rubber band grenade all the time, it works, but you need to have a slightly larger rubber band so it doesn't damage the darts.

instead of a rubber band double wrapped around 15 darts, i just wrap a hair elastic around 10 darts. it works every time
