I bought the regular Heretic Pariah a couple months ago and literally almost killed myself, and would have if it wasn't for the first responders getting there just in time for a tourniquet and ambulance! Stupidly I was sitting on my bed with one leg over the edge, and one curled up, and I picked it up out of the case and wasn't paying full attention and my thumb accidentally hit the button, and they have the strongest kick of any auto I ever felt, and it flipped out of my hand and straight into my leg! They have some weight to them so it easily sunk in more than half the blade, and unfortunately it sliced a vein, and hot blood just sprayed with every heart beat! I thought I was a gonner! Needless to say, I'll never mess with my knives unless I'm sitting properly! Very scary moment! Razor sharp knives are Not a joke!

If I cover the mic and crank it up, it’s perfect. I just hold the phone with a palm over mic - perfect sound ratio- just a tip. I like these because I always learn something, by default.
If you think people are going to freak out about the $1,200 Moku-Ti pen, you better hope they didn't notice the $2,000 Damasteel version right next to it 😂

It's called "The Subtle Art Of Not Giving A F#¢&". There's even a movie if you're not much of a reader, but it's worth a read.
I got the Eklipse Harpoon Spanto working finish Titanium. And I bought the Hinderer Scale,working finish, with the Hinderer logo laser etched into it. It is easily my favorite knife. Definitely want to add a Project X to my growing Hinderer collection though. I’ll probably keep the G-10, maybe even with one that that has more of a pop of color. Great stuff.
You cant fix stupid. If your the type of person who gets so mad about the price of custom usable art. Just buy shit at Walmart. The only way i could justify that pen, is if my annual income was 380k. Even if i was at 280k id probably buy it that thing is freaking sweet. I need to work 3x harder 😂
I’d be curious to see how those hinderer auto xm-18’s compare to some Protech models. They look super sturdy with the steel or titanium liners and I assume Ti hardware, standoffs etc. although probably heavier as well. I do like that they didn’t go with the standard faux integral by just sandwiching aluminum scales removing the need for standoffs, it really just looks like an xm-18!

The mordax might be the only production knife that has been able to be brought back and released from the grips of the infamously fallen Drop/Massdrop and in the words of the great Nick Shabazz, it’s a beautiful thing!

I would definitely grab a Pretoria Ti before they gone for good. Greg Medford discontinued the entire Pretoria line for 2024. The Ti big boys are even more scarce.

There have been a ton of great knives out there recently. The mordax has really become more available, i have one and it is a fantastic knife. A little slim but a great edc knife. Can’t wait for the Excalibur to be shipped in a few months 🤞

Mid tech is a high end knife designer that collabs with oems like the two models off the top of my head are strider pt made by pro tech and Jeff parks bones knife

Heretic and Microtech are both really cool looking knives. Very popular and people like them. That being said their heat treatments are 💩, long history of dastardly deeds, and the action on anything manual/Heretic is 🗑️.

Stuff like that is incredibly hard to make, and the raw materials themselves are incredibly expensive. If it was made out of solid gold, most people wouldn’t blink at that price.

I promise, I was thinking in MC's Mickey Mouse voice while I was typing. MC has introduced me to some knives I've bought the sans-culotte versions of, and some of them I've loved dearly (FRN Spydies). I haven't been able to bring myself to spend over $200 on a knife - not because I can't afford it, but because something about spending more money for the rizz or for a tool I'd be reluctant to actually use for fear of it being damaged, it just disagrees with something inside me. I know we only live once, so why not do what brings us joy... but I can't. Not yet. Maybe when I retire. All y'all making it rain for your Damasteel, I salute you. I legitimately thought MC wanted us to post the hem-haws here, he practically begged for it.
People that have a lot of money don't care. If they Want it they get it. I agree that it's crazy high. But they price them where they sell.
Don’t bother me with that MM 14c28n argument. There are 80-100 dollar knives on Amazon right now with the same or better materials and the same size. The blade stock is not expensive. 40 dollars for the blade stock for that knife.
Sorry to the haters, but that mokuti Nottingham is sexy asf. I like it better than the dama versions actually and, if I were making that kind of money, I’d definitely buy one and use it daily. Different strokes for different folks.
