Exactly! Roads, pathways in Ngara are slowly being taken over by mechanics. They are literally everywhere, with poor waste management. It is quite chaotic
My friend it was long over due this city has become something else you cannot walk on the streets well coz there is no space and if you try hawkers insult you as though they own the streets pls they need to vacate like yesterday they are killing shop businesses too
I agree with the governor, the pathways left are very small and people have to squeeze themselves, more reasons for the increased theft.I stopped going to town for the same reasons.

It is wrong.please, just Talk with owners of the buildings to rent you a space on the wall surface and sell your goods on standing posture.
That is what every governor has said but cannot impose...I want to take a matatu to bus station..Alight and walk along "Hakati Road", Mfangano Street", cross "Ronald Ngala Street" all the way to "Luthuli Avenue" and back on to "Tom Mboya Street" before I get on to "Mfangano Lanes "Tafrija Restaurant" to see whether there are hawkers or not!

On this one I agree with Sakaja, but still utasikia some people coming up with "watu wetu wanateswa" , because the mess is this town is a cash cow to some few individuals
But mr governor this pr your kanjo do business with this hawkers you have talk but it is not their to be done never never the hawking in street is mandatory as it seems with this hawkers kama boda they ride even in pavement and pedestrian bridges flyover and nothing is done what kind of cbd are we talking about 😢😢😢😢
You're now doing what you should have done a year ago. The city is an eyesore. We have brought our village actions and mentality here. Mama mboga, bodaboda, mkoko, and matatu everywhere. God forbid if a disaster strikes
Finally watolewe wanasinya sana, pavements ni ya kutembelea si duka..put hefy fines of over half a million ndio iwaingize uoga just catch few to make an example.
Yeees. Very well Mr. Governor. If we go on like that, in the next 10 years there will be a serious human traffic jam along Tom Mboya, Moi AVE, Ronald Ngala.
I agree with the governor, it's about time

This is one of the reasons i loved avoiding town.....the city has become a village market loosing its status and very chaotic
Just say the city looks like Central....waru,gwashe, managu....
Sio kila mtu ako job kama wewe. Some of this people depend on that that you are calling a village market

Now you’re working sir Sakaja 👏👏
He should borrow from his colleague Prof Anyang Ny'ongo who ensured hawkers were wiped off the Kisumu CBD streets
We want a clean city, kudos sir.
good decision Mr Governor as long as no one will suffer
I never love the CBD and last time I was there is two years ago. Thank God we can access everything any other place, in the malls etc
Eish hope it is true for free parking on weekend
Thank you
Where will the hawkers be
We support you on this move and wish you success
Btw, ulipatana na kunguni huko France?....
Let’s be sincerely to one another, hawking is a hustle but do it according to the laws. Safety and sanitation should be followed.
I support you but those hawkers are filthy and annoying.
Rules must be followed
Oh, no! 😢 Haslas wameumishwa nje
