    Buying your first home can be one of the most exciting things in your life - as long as everything goes well.
    On the other hand, if you make a mistake along the way, it can be one of the most stressful things you’ve ever done.
    There’s no two ways about it - the process of buying a home is complicated and full of pitfalls for the unsuspecting buyer.
    Here at Hunter Galloway, we’ve seen both sides of the coin: we have hundreds of happy home buyers who sailed through the home buying process.
    But unfortunately we’ve also seen the darker side of things: some of our clients have come to us for assistance with a home purchase that has gone south in the hopes that we could save them. In some cases, we were able to sort things out and the tale ended happily ever after.
    In other cases, I’m sad to say, we were unable to help because things were too far gone and they’d left it too late for us to help.
    We want your home buying experience to be the best possible - which is why in this video we are going to look at the 20 things first home buyers need to know.
    Arm yourself with these tips and you will be well prepared to tackle the home buying process.

    Great video guys, I'd probably recommend you record in Mono - the Stereo was a bit distracting jumping between ears depending on who's talking

    Great video great tips especially about the on going costs you might not budget for. I know people are fearful of never being able to afford buying a house or fearful of buying a house at the top and waiting to buy in after a crash. Could you do a video on past booms and how you would fare just by holding on regardless of booms or busts. My theory is have a solid budget and buy when it's right for you regardless of booms 💥 or busts
    Cheers for another great video 😀

    if my patners de facto have a house with his brother, so i want going buy property on my name and sign a paper on name, do still count first home buyer and free stamps duty for me or no?

    • @MortgageBrokerAustralia
      @MortgageBrokerAustralia  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Yoen, it depends on a few things and this is where your solicitor will help with stamp duty concessions. However, it is possible to get stamp duty waived base this sort of a scenario, however, best to run past a solicitor as they would assist with the details in getting this sorted.

    I dont have a credit score. I don't have any loans and buy things outright. Is this an issue for a mortgage broker/bank?

    • @MortgageBrokerAustralia
      @MortgageBrokerAustralia  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Certainly not an issue and won't impact your application for finance

  • @kailies5

    Hi, assuming you were working but stopped for 2-3 months and resumes again(same employer)and the bank asked for account statements where your pay goes, will this be an issue?
    Thanks in advance for responding

    • @MortgageBrokerAustralia
      @MortgageBrokerAustralia  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Kailie, so long as the role is full time or part time. That will be no drama's. The bank might ask questions about why there was a break in between.

    Do I need a credit score to buy a home in Australia? I know a good credit score is essential in America but is it the same here?

    Kia ora, I would like to know what I can do with my home loan in New Zealand. I owe $68, thousand.

    • @MortgageBrokerAustralia
      @MortgageBrokerAustralia  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Ako, hope you're doing well. Fantastic that you've paid down the loan as much as you have. The access equity in NZ, you'd need to reach out with the bank you have your home loan with in NZ as the Australian banks wouldn't be able to take that property as security

    So not true….the bank will lend you to buy a box, close to nothing

    • @adriannalyon9514
      @adriannalyon9514 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Probably because your borrowing capacity only allows you to buy a box.
