They aren't open to discourse outside of Shapiro and now Peterson, however they have both been made an example out of by Harris and won't debate him anymore. What atheist worldview! When the world suffered with birthrates, depression and nihilism, the superstitious views were rampant and global. The only atheist worldview were the Christians who choose to reject the Roman gods for an improvised, faceless, omnigod.
The moment global suffering, decease and needless death and rejection of nihilism all decreased drastically was when the Church lost their literal athority over the sciences and what were allowed and not allowed to say and research and question, when they lost the athority to arrest freethinkers and those they didn't respect or agree with. That's when the *secular* worldview was free to develop and grow. All people lived, healthier and longer average lifespans as the generations passed and universal knowledge became common as opposed to sparse under religious theocratic rule. The world developed and people found that they could have profound meaning to their lives and in others lives without any arbitrary need to believe or follow an authoritarian higher power. Well being and moral discussion and growth was flourishing greatly when freed from living under the religious shadow. Miraculous feats and event were explained accurately and with predictive success one after another. Clear thought was replacing clouded superstitious thought.
But religious beliefs hang on throughout the decades regardless out of tradition and habit. As aswell for being a successful economic triangle scheme that paid their way into the future of modern day and to hide kiddie fiddling from the law alongside many dedicated years of tax evasion.
So it's not clear what you think you're getting at, you're just coming off very lost in what you think you're talking about as opposed to what you would have talked about were you at all experienced with the subject over piecing partial bits of information incoherently together and just assuming you got it all right..🤷‍♂️

Why would suicide bombing be any more morally indefensible than conventional bombing? Both are just as abhorrent as each other yet the former is treated as somehow worse. The only difference is that the bomber gives their own life up in the process, but we have largely convinced ourselves that long-ranged conventional bombing is somehow more morally righteous.
Also that's not even true, off the top of my head I can think of one non-faith based group who engaged in suicide bombing, the PFLP who did so against the state of Israel, and they are a largely secular and atheistic group.

On Michael's video, you'll see an endless flow of comments of people describing how they reverted to their faith after having been misled by Christopher, and the shame and embarrassment they felt for having been misled as such - but not a single coherent take on any charge that Christopher actually made against religion.
His catalogue of debates against religious leaders is enormous, and you only need watch them for yourself to see how when the ministers of religion finally meet a fearless spirit, and someone who understands their crappy texts better than they do, they're forced very quickly to either evade, lie, or fold.
Christopher single-handedly exposed and exploded religious mythology once and for all time. He never shielded himself away from criticism, never looked for compromise, never allowed a poor argument to remain uncontested, and never lost a debate on religion. If someone can't cope with these facts, it's not my problem.

Its sad that a dead Hitchens still beats the apologist. Hitchens wasn't a messiah, he wasn't a god we all follow out of blind allegiance. He was a man who simply called a spade a spade, and called out bs when he saw it. I often disagreed with Hitchens, but I respected his experiences and his genuine desire to follow the truth. With religion, though, he was a hundred percent spot on.

In Matthew 19, right after Jesus fails to convince a rich man to follow him by giving up everything he has, Peter wants to know what the disciples can expect in the World to Come from what they've sacrificed: 'Then Peter said in reply, “See, we have left everything and followed you. What then will we have?”' (Matthew 19:27). In Matthew 12, Jesus gives his explicit views on who he thinks should count as family when someone tells him his mother and brothers are waiting to see him: 'But he replied to the man who told him, “Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?” And stretching out his hand toward his disciples, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers! For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.”' (Matthew 12:48-50). If context is considered, when Jesus told you to hate your family and your entire life, it's clear he meant pretty much what he said. What reason to apologists have for suggesting otherwise? I've heard the response Knowles parrots here so many times, without justification from a contextual, theological, or linguistic perspective. The only justification seems to be, 'BUT JESUS WAS JUST SO NICE, SO HE CAN'T HAVE MEANT THAT.' The late Hector Avalos has made the case that in Luke 14:26, the Greek worked used for 'hate' is 'miseo', and it's about as unambiguous as you can get.
I've read a quote attributed to Hitchens: "The mark of an independent mind is not what it thinks, but how." And that is perhaps the most fundamental difference between him and Michael Know Nothing. Even when I disagreed with Hitchens, I understood his line of reasoning, and could tell he came to his own conclusions regardless of what people close to him thought. Indeed, his own brother who disagreed with him on practically everything still acknowledged that tendency for independent thought. Knowles is a propagandist who parrots things he's heard from other propagandists, and unfortunately, people will still lap that up.
