Bad news: James Earl Jones and Eri Shinohara have both passed away 1-2 days ago. May they both rest in peace.
And now Peter Renaday has also passed away too. Really bad month for the voice acting community.

Been looking at DDS fanworks and have found that the general consensus as to Serph's personality is that he has a head full of empty. And that people really really like shipping him with Heat.
Also started reading Quantum Devil Saga, partway through vol. 2 currently and on pause until this playthrough ends to avoid spoilers... Some interesting stuff, but I think I prefer how the game handles the Embryon characters, even if game!Serph is kind of a blank slate.
24:43 Have they tried that technique on the people turned into statues in sunlight? "Hey, kid, let me just shatter your dad's petrified body, I can bring it back, I swear!"
35:49 Gale's little jog looks really funny, especially sped up like that; that's right, Gale! Go at an elevated but steady and non-strenuous pace!

With our leader down, it’s up to Gale and company to keep the world from being downloaded into the sun.
2:22 Huh. I guess they didn’t want to make Gale’s model do field hunts. In fairness, his demon model might have been awkward to animate for it.

Gale being the MC in the overworld is highlighting how weird his pants are. Never seen any that end just *below* the knee.
A bit funny how his stoicism inherently makes him the easiest to slot in as the back-up viewpoint character, although if you'd asked back during the first I'd have expected Heat to get that privelege.
Raijus I'm somewhat familiar with, mostly due to mine (and based on popularity polls, everyone else's) favorite monster in Monster Hunter being based on one-- Zinogre, which is very much taking the "blue wolf wrapped in lightning" interpretation.

Still not as weird as the knee-high boots of some of the early FE Pegasus Knight designs.

...I only now notice how much Gale is swinging his hips in his walk animation, and now I can't unsee it... On a more positive note I enjoy the interactions between Argilla and Roland near the beginning of this dungeon. It doesn't quite feel like flirting but moreso them bantering to lighten the mood.
The Hama & Mudo thing is really interesting and I feel its handeled the best in SMTIVA and V, dealing damage but having a ~30% chance of instant death if you're smirking / just weak to the element respectively. As much as I like Kouga and Eiga in Persona, This approach condenses them into one without trivializing the insta-kill aspect. It's something you still have to plan around... but there aren't any sudden jumpscares from instant uncounterable game overs lol.

26:46 I think I remember seeing it in nocturne: Hama/mudo can fail two different ways, one of which penalizes press turns and one of which doesn't. Confusingly, both cases use the word "miss" (which is I think a reflection of the Japanese usage of that word) although they use it differently--The "MISS" text pops up if it fails the instant death roll, whereas you get the "missed completely" dialogue box if it was evaded. In this game a failed hama/mudo just doesn't show anything.

13:27 So, there's a book series I read as a high schooler called Michael Vey. The gist of the plot is that as a result of an experimental machine, a group of babies in a California hospital all got electricity-based superpowers, and this leads into a fight with the corporation who made the machine, who's CEO sees them as the evolution of humanity. I can't really recommend the series in good faith even fi I have fond memories of it (It's basically Conservative Percy Jackson for kids who will eventually read way too much Tom Clancy), but it did stick out to me that the creator did his homework for some serious varied usage of electricity. There's a pair of twins who affect the mind because of the electrical signals in it, one by reading them/giving someone an on-demand brain fart and the other by affecting emotions/mental illusions, a blind guy who sees via electricity like eels do, the closest thing to a healer is a girl who stimulates nerves to ease pain, and later on another girl paralyzes nerves with both a nonlethal setting in muscle paralysis, and a lethal one in stopping the heart or the lungs, a magnetism girl, an EMP guy, a guy who creates microwaves, a girl who can copy and store data in her body to connect this to Roland's thing, and the usual lightning bolt thrower you'd expect.

In other news, A LOT with my current run of Battle Brothers and the Green Units. Last time, the Green Units were nearing the completion of their ambition of being known everywhere. But first came a job a noble had been pestering me for me to do to clear out a Goblin Encampment... It sucked and now I understand why his men didn't want to do it instead. So the Goblins here took up residence in an abandoned fort on a mountain, which meant the map layout was them in a fortified position with the high ground advantage every time the map for that battle randomly generated; This mixed with the Goblin's MANY archers made it hell just trying to get in there and murder those blighters. Making things even more annoying, there wasn't one, but TWO Goblin champions in there too (one an archer, to add more arrow fire to make me suffer, and a frontliner to slow me down). Not sure if that's the result of playing as the Peasant Militia with the size difference scaling or Goblin champions showing up in pairs to make up for the fact Goblins die very easily, but either way, it was hell. I was honestly going to give up the contract, but after reading some advice to do fights like these at night (ranged attacks take a decent accuracy penalty) and getting THE perfect map seed for the battle (i.e my entire team not starting in super low ground, no choke points for the Goblins to take advantage of, AND a massive gap in the middle to charge through). It was still a close fight as I almost lost a few men, but it was the run as I managed to defeat that encampment and massacre every Goblin prick in there. I now have a new found hatred for Goblins in Battle Brothers and will enjoy any piece of media where they get decimated as therapy to help for my trauma of that fight. At the very least, not only did it pay well, but I also got Two Famed Weapons from it, one from each champion. The spear was a let down as it's no stronger than the basic militia spear (but at least it's a good training weapon for newcomers, especially since it has a modifier where it cost less fatigue to use it; Which is honestly nice reducing a famed Goblin weapon to a rookie's first weapon), but the bow was decent (damage is meh, but it has a lot of extra hit, which is nice for landing more shots to weaken foes before they close in). After that hell job and several days of marching, the Green Units finally reached the last town they needed to visit and we completed the ambition to visit every town in the world. Now everyone knows about Green Units! Isn't that great? After that, we took up a job from a Noble to clear out two Undead encampments, which seemed oddly involved, and quickly got an ambition to drive back the undead. Surely that's not a sign of anything bad about to happen. Let's let the men nap before this job.
During that rest, the nameless company commander standing in for us, or the Head Green Unit in our case, had a dream about instead of being a Green Unit, they were a FE Lord, with a beautiful wife at his side, a massive army, and a flourishing empire. Actually he was dreaming of being an Emperor and we all know what happens to Emperors in FE. The dream quickly became a nightmare as suddenly everything went to hell, fire everywhere, the wife dying, and all of the emperor's soldiers dying horrifically as they're singed alive in their armor, vowing to return to their emperor one day. What a weird dream, surely that wasn't indicative of anythi- Never mind since as soon as we woke up, our men informed us of refugees running away and saying the Dead are invading the land of the living. As our stand in puts it, "The Empire Rises." Welcome to the Undead Crisis. It's similar to the last Crisis as we have a team up going on here. The Weindgangers, zombies, and the Ancient Undead, skeleton armies, join forces to attack the living. Our first few jobs involve clearing out specific encampments to purify the lands around them from the undead presence. First one of these was scary as we had to deal with Weindgangers, an enemy type I'm fine facing normally, except they had a crap ton of Fallen Champions. While these ones aren't "proper champions" (unless named), they're still heavily armored and geared with powerful weapons. The only reason why they didn't kill me like a team of human champions could is thankfully they're weaker than their human counterparts on the account of being rotten corpses; In typical zombie fashion, they're more sluggish thanks to rigor mortis and can only attack one time. Now if they got buffed from a Necromancer I'd be screwed (could attack THREE times while buffed for a turn), but there wasn't one, so it was a drawn out fight I managed to pull off. The second encampment to clear was annoying since it's the Ancient Undead, who are annoying for me to face since once they have their second tier units, the Ancient Legionaries, it becomes shield wall spam with their pikemen decimating you from behind the frontline. Seriously, the Ancient Pikmen are annoying since their spears are stupidly strong, being the third strongest pole arm I've seen outside of Named/Famed Gear that I've seen in this game so far. However, as the crisis went on, I learned tactics to make them easier to face. Also shout out to my whip I got in this run. A rarer weapon, but it helps a lot since its disarm skill was crucial in stalling out fights by making the pikemen drop their pole arms. After that, I thought the next contract after that would be a bit more manageable. It wasn't. First one was another standard Ancient Dead fight, but the second one was more of an Advanced fight against them as I faced for the first time another new least favorite enemy; The Ancient Priest. Despite being frail and easy to kill, it's hard to reach them at times, giving them time to do two annoying things; Summoning Miasma (poison gas that ignores armor and can quickly eat away at your men's HP with prolonged exposure) and their ability to frighten. The latter sucks since best case, it only lowers your men's morale (kind of like Giests, except less severe), but worse case if you roll really badly, the Ancient Priest basically inflicts stun on that unit. And this move is AoE, so it can be an AoE stun move, which if he spams a lot, you're screwed. And to add insult to injury, this fight also introduced me to their high tier of soldiers, the Ancient Guard. Only had to face one here, but the one I did was quite strong and caused problems on their own. Another quest I considered giving up on, but after better positioning and frankly pure luck in a run where the Priest only spammed the Miasma, I managed to win barely. That said, even with good luck, I still lost a good man... Or so I thought. Turns out the guy who "died" was the guy who lost an ear earlier and I overlooked the fact he had survivor, which gives him a 90% chance of surviving lethal blows provided he isn't hit by certain killing attacks (like decapitation or getting eaten by a larger monster). So what did he lose this time? His eye. This is a crippling wound... For a ranged bro. The reduced vision sucks, but the other penalty for him losing an eye is -50% ranged skill, but since he's a melee bro, he can live with it (losing an ear hurt his unit viability more funnily enough). Good thing this happened to the guy who also has the loyal trait or I'd hear no end of complaints from him. lol After that contract was completed (and a bunch of smaller scaled fights against roaming bands of the undead), we took up our final job in this crisis; Defending a village from waves after waves of the Undead. We got help from the local militia, so you know what that means... ACTUAL GREEN UNITS DOING STUPID SH^^! Not only did this hurt our defenses, not only did they suffer bad losses that in later fights very few men wanted to keep defending this town, and not only did it actively harm us as apparently humans who die during this crisis can rise up and fight for the Undead (meaning the allied green units became red units as another way to make my life miserable), but it also meant The Green Units of my company suffered horribly second hand embarrassment from their distant cousins sucking. So much so that it lead to the worst man I've ever hired in this game getting distracted and getting decapitated by an Ancient Undead. While it's always tragic losing men... Like I said, probably the literal worst guy I've ever hired since his stamina was so bad he couldn't do sh^^ in even remotely long fights. At least I've long since hired more men that his death wasn't felt. But after the fight he died, that assault ended and we got paid. We then got a bunch of odd jobs despite the crisis still happening, which lead to us killing an Orc Champion and getting his Famed Cleaver. But then during one of these jobs the crisis... Ended. Already. Started on Day 80 and ended on Day 98. Didn't even last three weeks. Shortest Endgame crisis ever. While we rested after getting that news and celebrating our ambition of ending that crisis, Head Green Unit got one last dream. Yet again involving that wife, leaving us with many questions about that empire, our connections to it, and how its fall seemed to be tied to some man manipulating its emperor. So many important questions... If we were main characters; We're Green Units, we're not dealing with that protagonist and lore stuff, we just want to get paid! [Still need to break this up...]

Now with the crisis resolved, this is where I'd normally end these runs, but I want to go farther with the Green Units. So now, we're doing a bunch of odd jobs until the next crisis hits in 50 days minimum (which is sad, but accurate about how much the Battle Brothers' world sucks if crisis after crisis happens every two to three months), spent 13K Crowns of our hard earned crisis money on the best named Axe called "The Axe," and now am debating on whether or not to do a fight that involves fighting 5 Orc Warriors for a mere 1.7K Crowns for this type of work as I climb my way back from that last purchase. Very tempted to save scum before accepting that troublesome job. Probably will go explore the wilds soon as well to hunt down encampments and make a profit from looting. Either way, THE GREEN UNITS CONTINUE MARCHING ON!
However, I do plan on playing other games soon as I want to finish up a few backlog games and I've bought in advance some games for Halloween due to some deals that ended last night on the eShop. Now that the steam of the Peasant Militia run is starting to cool down with the first crisis resolved. Already a third of the way through September and I still got a few more games to beat before Brothership drops in less than two months now.

Last time, my comment got absorbed into the ether again, and it keeps happening, but I do remember saying what Serph did felt oddly fitting.
Maybe it had something to do with buffs not having a turn limit in a lot of mainline SMT games during this time.
This was a really good part for Roland.
Despite being a really low level, it still seems like a pain with only being weak to gun.
Meanwhile, my Medusa is known for sinking ships.
Last time, I compared the Green Units to those Yoshi memes due to the shenanigans they were getting up to.
Good to hear that you gave those goblins what they deserved.
Having an undead crisis is oddly fitting with something we will discuss later.
Sounded like quite the ordeal with the strong enemy types and the allied units in the second scenario causing more problems than not but great to hear that you made it out in the end.
Also cool to see the green unit adventure continue and hopefully they can survive that next crisis. Also good luck with the next couple of games you decide to play as well.
As for myself, all of the 24 hour endurance races are complete which means all of the endurance races are complete but we aren't done yet since we still have the Formula GT World Championship. This is a 15 race Championship where the opponents use Formula Gran Turismos which are race cars that look similar to F1 cars at the time and have the performance to match. Luckily, winning the Nürburgring 24 Hour endurance awards my own Formula Gran Turismo so with a tune that incorporates a glitch with the gearing, it is performing really well as I have won 8 out of 15 races so far and things are looking good to complete everything by Friday. Only real problems now is that I have exhausted all of Klingy's streams now so I need to think about what I am going to listen too for the rest of Championship. For the channel, I have started recording Black and White's postgame and also uploaded another update video where I reveal my next playthrough and also reveal I am still open to chatting on Discord even after Gran Turismo 4 is complete since it is really fun to do and maybe one day, we can chat.
As for my brother, he has found more time to hang out with me so he got up to a couple of things like speedrunning Mario 64 70 stars and getting a 1 hour 24 minute time, if I am remembering that correctly which is very impressive. He also played a bit of Xenoblade 3 again and then the latest thing was that he bought the Resident Evil 2 remake and with my knowledge of playing the original Resident Evil 3, maybe I can give him some pointers. So far, he is doing alright despite this being his first survival horror.

@@BerserkerRohan Again? YT's really got to stop giving you issues with that. However, in case it does, you can do what I do of after posting a comment, I open up a new tab and check to see it got through, that way if it doesn't, I can copy and paste from the original tab.
Also yeah, the Serph stuff last time at least fits him, especially given his implied fate with the good prince, evil prince story from the last game.
Even so, you'd think the idea would still be experimented with in mainline SMT, especially given how tighter skill slots are effectively in SMT compared to Persona meaning that investment to have that kind of effect in SMT would be more significant. Plus V/Vengeance decided to go the Persona route for buffs, so why not experiment with those kinds of skills there?
      That it was.
True, at least she puts up a fight in spite of the level demotion here.
lol Yeah, I opened up the way for that comparison. [And don't worry, I did more with another road patrol mission that I did.]
Good indeed since I would have been too frustrated with the game if they got the last laugh.
Looking ahead, that it is fitting. It also fits since the original reason for naming the first run after the Awakening 2 Paralouge Villagers before I discarded that run was how I picked that as my first crisis for the epic villager vs Risen rematch. Didn't quite happen the way I wanted to given the new run I made, but Green Units still fit given the amount of monsters and undead that plague green units in other games.
That they were, the Ancient Priest in particular was annoying. At least the Green Units made it (mostly) alive out of the crisis.
Indeed, it'll be fun seeing what the Green Units walk into next and how they'll impact the world. Thanks for that and the good luck in other games too.
Once again, congratulations earning your freedom from the 24 hour races. Glad to see you overcome such a massive obstacle on your quest for 100% completion in GT4. Best of luck with the championship as the final hurdle. Although I didn't think the Championship would be as long as it is. Certainly wished I realized that sooner so I could try and think of things you could do given you burnt through the BigKlingy VoDs... Maybe one of his earlier LPs if you don't mind more BigKlingy content, but if you need me to brainstorm some new ideas, let me know.
Great work onto making to the B/W Postgame and I hope recording that goes well. Although crap, missed that update video. I'll try to get to it soon. As for Discord, once I get off my rear I'll try to get that sorted out as well. Sorry for me constantly forgetting to do that.
Nice to hear he's found some time to spend with you; Hope he enjoys that break from his work. And good to hear his 70 Star run went well. An hour and twenty four sounds like a good time. Again, hope he continues to enjoy XC3. Also funny timing with him getting RE2 Remake as an associate of mine (the same one who ended his RD rando as soon as your brother started his) is planning on streaming that for when it becomes Halloween Season. Good that he also has you for pointers and that he seems to be doing well for his first survival horror game. Hope that you two have fun with that.

@@jaredfayette2567 I do something like that as well but with notepad instead and it does seem like I need to do that often.
It could be a cool addition as extra skills or even equipment which some mainline SMT games have like Strange Journey and SMT IV.
Also fitting with my brother playing RE2 as well.
That final championship is like playing for a real F1 championship since the races are a similar length as well.
I did find something to listen to and since I am through most of it, I should be good.
I will be looking forward to hearing about that.
I think it is because he wants to spend more time with me than his friends now.
As expected of a first playthrough, he is still getting the hang of survival horror as well as how to deal with enemies and things will probably go interestingly once the BOWs start appearing.

Technically 2 and is Roland pulling a reverse Shadow computer chop?
    12:43
I think this is the first time an Atma was addressed by its specific name in game
    20:59
    Hi Raikou!
    24:57
Think we'll find a cinnamon roll next? Those two do work well together
    28:05
Honestly I think its interesting what that version does to Perceus considering from my understanding, in the versions where Medusa is just a monster, Perceus in terms of his character is one of the few Greek Heroes that mostly holds up considering he wanted to stop a guy from coming onto his mom
    30:14
Now I'm thinking about Roxas, Axel, and Xion
    33:16
So here's a question. If they decide to remake the Elibe games, do you think if for whatever reason, they remake FE7 first, they'll set up a file transfer to for an FE6 remake
    38:49
    Uhhh...
I set my Three Security Measures, and Two Cannons as link markers! Grand Tapestry, guard this place as your one commandment! I Link Summon, Link-5, Laser Cannon!

Ok so let's see, the power plant dungeon is reminiscent of FF7's Mako Reactors, and if you really push it, that Turret mini-boss is like a Demon Wall. Just, less scary face and arms sticking out of a wall and more laser cannons. Not to mention this whole dungeon reminds me of FF 13 with how linear it starts until you reach a certain point and then.... PSYCH. I still to this day will never understand why people criticized 13 for being too linear, I actually liked that about it. Thinking about Gran Pulse to this day still gives me chills.

      Quite a few.
Interestingly, one of the late-game ones is kinda hinted at in an earlier cutscene.
