- SOLD Soul. It's the thing that seems to be missing from so many modern exotic cars, which use off-the-shelf systems from the same suppliers to make pretty bulletproof cars with incredible performance figures. While impressive feats of engineering, they seem to miss out on the look, feel, smeel, and presence of older exotic cars, like an early 70s Ferrari Daytona or post-war Maserati 3500GT.
This GranSport coupe hearkens back to the original Maseratis of the post-war vintage, the company that essentially introduced us to the Grand Touring car - powerful and beautifully styled 4-seaters, with racing heritage but soft enough to be used comfortably on the street. That's what I like about this generation of coupe - it has a Ferrari-derived V8, an F1 inspired manumatic transaxle, and stiffened Skyhook suspension that stops short of giving you a bone-jarring track ride - it handles incredibly well, but is comfortable enough to use as a daily driver - not entirely unlike a rear engined offering from a famous German maker.
All in all, I just love this coupe. It's fast, elegant, thrilling, and a joy to drive. That its affordable to buy in to doesn't hurt, either.

I have one of these cars, a 2004, with ferrari 32 valve V8, 400HP, ferrari formula one 6 speed trans, 52/48 weight distribution, beautiful car, hand built, I always wanted to own a Maserati, and no disappointment! Mine has 68,000 miles and as reliable as any other car. Only thing to remember is when you need a clutch it will cost around $3000 and that's if you know your mechanic pretty well. But that's to be expected, it's not a toyota... This car cost over $110,000 when new. I don't ever park it in "normal" parking spaces... people love to give you door dings with their junk cars... What an awesome car. I think I will go drive mine right now!

Without a doubt, that is one of, if not THE most beautiful cars that Auto Europa Naples has ever offered … I'm in love, but I hear she's a "moody one" who will make you cry, if you know what I mean ;-) ……….
I own one, not sure that's true. Look it is an exotic obviously, but honestly, if you go in with a DIY attitude and willingness to research and look for a specialist, it's not expensive or wallet breaking!
You just have to know cars is all. Beautiful car!
Honestly, it wasn't any more expensive to maintain than my previous Alfa 156 V6 or Alfa GTV v6

I lived in Naples. I used to fly the mosquito control aircraft. I live in Virginia now with four full seasons, and I love it. I’m way up in the mountains in the western part of the state. Looking for a used Maserati just like this one.
Regarding the tail lights, rumour has it an American focus group didn't like the 'boomerang' style lights, so they were nixed for this update. A shame really, I think they looked cool.
This was a comment from 3 years ago but the reasoning was it wasn't road legal for america. the 3200 wasn't ever in america, then they went worldwide with the 4200.

Before the filming he should review the owners manual and have a checklist and get an assistant to help him hold his camera so he doesn’t appear so half cocked! This video makes him look like he fell out of bed and landed right in the middle of a video car review starring him.
BTW - Cambiocorsa = Racing transmission in Italian. Keep it in Sport mode and avoid automatic and reverse or you will be replacing the clutch more often. Yes I owned one, a 2005 Coupe with Grigio Algieri exterior and Cuiou sella leather interior. Strong runner, weak AC. Major attention getter.

Hate the people who call these cars exotic bargains, the maintenance and service cost to keep these cars running will amount to that of a brand new 2024 car. Thats why so many of these cars have tons of owners, no one understands what they're getting into. If you understand that and still think its worth it, so be it but do your research
