    After struggling to do this trick im glad i you made this video. Didnt realize the trick was to keep that pitch angle the same all the way throught the loop. Hence the reason its a LOOP. Thank you!!

    I consider your tutorials just about the best I have come across on TH-cam. The blackbox sticks are the icing on the cake, as just narration cannot depict the action taken like the stick(s) insert. Well done.

    Truly enjoy your videos man, without them, I do not believe I would have as deep an understanding of PIDS, BB, stick movements as I do. I naturally have the "feel" of how to do certain things, but some things I watch you guys do and wonder "how do they do it so smooth?" Well, Enter Joshua Bardwell, the man I say is the TH-cam MultiRotor authority! Many thanks for your videos man, I will watch every one!

    Nice timing on this one. I was just getting ready to go out this morning to practice Power Loops. You make a nice point on the right stick and really just working the throttle to keep it smooth and symmetrical. Sure wish I could fly under 2.5.3 but 2.3.5 is going to have to do for me now. Thanks for putting this out and nice job.

      Thanks for the helpful videos, much appreciated. I have a QAV250 with a Naze32 rev 6 running cleanflight. I tried the Seriously pro racing board TWICE and both boards took a crap. The are now referred to as seriously crap boards around my house, and I'll never go back. I wish I knew more on how to tune this naze32 board as it does some weird things at 3/4 throttle and yaw. I'll search youtube for how to do proper pid settings, as I am sure that is the problem. Peace Josh!

      Not true at all. Luke Bannister won Dubai on Betaflight for example. I mean, I haven't taken a survey or anything... I know that Steele and FGA are huge fans of KISS and they talk about it in their videos. But how much that reflects a larger trend, I don't know.

    • @JoshuaBardwell

      Well, it's a matter of feel and personal preference. The higher your full-stick-deflection rate is, the more expo you need to make the stick manageable around the center.

    Does motor stop enabled affect the loop when you upside down? I mean the setting in cf.. where when your throttle is at zero the props are still spinning at a low rate. Should we set the motors not to spin at zero throttle?

    does your quad have Sixaxis you know 3 axis gyro and 3 axis accelerometer. or is it in 100% manual where if a beginner were to yaw a little they would go out of control

    • @JoshuaBardwell
      @JoshuaBardwell  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      All multirotors have at least a six axis gyro. Without that, you just couldn't fly at all.

    • @JoshuaBardwell

      how do you set up your throttle curve for stunts. Like what are your points and percentages for low, 1,2,Mid,3, 4 and High.

    • @JoshuaBardwell
      @JoshuaBardwell  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Linear. Completely linear. I don't like throttle curves because the hover point of a copter is different for every copter, and what battery you're running, and whether you're running an HD camera. I just want a linear curve on every copter.

    • @JoshuaBardwell
      @JoshuaBardwell  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I use air mode, yes, 100%. Everything else is acro mode. Literally none of the top pilots use self-level mode. For FPV, acro mode is better once you get used to it.
      Without air mode, you will not have much authority at zero throttle.

    what is the expo on pitch and roll and is it set to the tx or fc?

    • @JoshuaBardwell
      @JoshuaBardwell  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Tvpc1971 RC expo is about 0.65 or 0.7, and on the FC. Bear in mind that the sticks overlay shows the result AFTER expo, so my actual stick movements are somewhat larger than you are seeing.

    • @Tvpc1971
      @Tvpc1971 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Joshua Bardwell I use a cc3d and I just started flying in rate mode after about a year of flying. Over the next few weeks I'll slowly start increasing my rates and adding expo. Flips and rolls are cool but the loops and upside down hang times really shows control of the machine.

    Can this be done in horizon mode?

      Very difficult to do smoothly.

      Not sure, I have done some stalled flips in horizon but not sure if you can get that loopyness. Could go out and try it?

    I'm sure you've seen the DALRC channel videos of the guys doing power loops under throttle the whole time?

    • @JoshuaBardwell
      @JoshuaBardwell  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm sure you can. I just think it cuts the back side of the loop short.

      Yes you can hold throttle whole the time that keeps the momentum which is the real power loop as people do LOS. Actually the best way to learn what is going on is by flying LOS....you can see what is going on. with fpv your more less blind during the move

      I definitely agree about LOS! I was shitting myself when trying to learn power loops in the "tunnel vision" of FPV (especially when looking up at the sky). I tried it LOS and quickly learnt how the quad behaved during different stick movements and just how much room for error I had before hitting the ground :) I've been doing the same with inverted manoeuvres as well.

      Yeah it's all got to do with camera angle. If you work your way up to 60 degrees you can see more of the path your quad is traveling and you don't need to let off as much....right Joshua?????

    Hey just wondering. Are you flying in acro or air?

    • @JoshuaBardwell
      @JoshuaBardwell  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      +MatthewD'ArcyTheLad air mode is on top of acro, not instead of it.

      i think i understand what you mean. but anyways you're flying in air mode then right? not any other flight mode
