(PART 1) Restoring a 1987 Pointer 17ft Center Console Boat

I was given a boat by my neighbor and decided to fix it up nice for the summer. There is a lot of work to be done and I will be documenting the process. I plan to replace the motor, steering cable, a new switch panel, fish finder and a few more accessories. We also plan to paint the boat as well. Follow along on the build in the Boat Build playlist!

Hey, I have the same exact boat and I'm replacing the steering cable. How long was it/how did you get it out. Mine seems pretty hung up

It should be 13 feet. The old one was pretty seized. Normally you’re supposed to just beat it thru the tunnel out the other end. Ended up just buying a new one. Very easy to install.
