  • This is the first time we're taking our inflatable sailboat out for a ride. It is the Intex Mariner 3 with a sail from sailboatstogo. This would work as well on the Intex Mariner 4. Conditions were quite strong, meaning the small waves made it hard to go upwind. Wind was 12 knots at first going slightly over 15 by the end of the session. Assembly and rigging of this small inflatable sailboat was very easy though and we even got some help! For more info see sailboatstogo.com

    Looks fun! Do you remember how many sq ft is your sail? Do you still use it or have you found something better?

    • @DutchSailingFamily
      @DutchSailingFamily  3 ปีที่แล้ว

    each? It work ok I'm looking at the mariner 4 for fishing and not wanting to fool with a batteries and motor this time

    • @DutchSailingFamily
      @DutchSailingFamily  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes the sail works just fine. Don't expect to go into wind but sailing beam reach, across the wind is no problem at all!

      @@DutchSailingFamily hi thanks what's been reach? How much is it?

    • @DutchSailingFamily
      @DutchSailingFamily  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@GRILLBUOY101 Beam reach is just a sailing direction. It's when you have the wind coming from the side of the boat, so you're sailing 90 degrees to the wind. The boat cost me around 150 USD and the sailkit info is available here: www.sailboatstogo.com/catalog/product/2001 I hope that helps!!
