I would have moved heaven and earth to acquire this one if it wasn't so damn big. Seiko LX with the spring drive is my current grail but they are impossible to get in the UK without going overseas and paying crazy import taxes.
if you ask me, I think that there should be some distance, considerable distance, between GS and Seiko. Getting them too close to each other, especially sharing the movements, could be a risky proposition. Just my 2 cents.
Love the look of this. What stinks is Seiko has take. A beating over the years for poor QC, so coming out with a watch costing this much will probably deter many people. Still love it though.
@@beetrootjunkie4178 It's already understood that it comes with the territory when it comes to Seiko. However it is a friction bezel so you have to make a visual adjustment.
Not a $5500.00 for me. The size is also a turn off at slightly over 15mm. They're challenging G-Shock. Then to ask that price for a friction bezel, it ain't happening and I don't even care about the unsigned crown.
Exquisite doesn’t discount at all or not much. I’ve had better luck with other Jewelers for my Grand Seiko purchases. Spring Drive should be exclusive to Grand Seiko only. Kevin O’Leary had a major rant on that.
IMHO despite the "spring drive" (who cares only scant amount of people care about this) this looks like a $650 Seiko watch (the most). No signed crown! Hard pass. And I own 5 Seikos including a GS SBGM039 (used) and a Flight Computer. So many better offerings from other brands for far less. Longines rings a bell. Yeah no. No thanks.
@@hammalamiri12 1st of all you have to be a complete idiot to spend $10kon a watch like spending $100,000 on a tesla and 2nd, you can buy a new Grand Seiko for $6000. and 3rd, who the fk is bring up $10,000 when this video is about $6000???
This is a great watch. I purchased black diver version about 4 years ago. I really enjoyed it very much.
That’s a beautiful piece. The 5R66 is an awesome movement.
Dayummmmm that micro adjust needs to be on every watch right now.
Gracias Sr. Bob.
From what I hear, Spring Drive actually started Seiko side. So salute to King Seiko

I have had one since 2019. You can get Seiko Lx titanium spring drive watches. They are approximately
I believe if you go to a Seiko boutique and ask for one, and they'll order one in for you
Wouldn’t you an accidentally open micro adjust when you take the watch off?

Bezel doesn’t line up?😂😂

for some really if mechanical I do prefer stainless steel
Bidirectional bezel -- good, friction fit bezel -- cheat.
100 WR but 15 mm thick. Ridiculous
How about Panerai with their screw lock crown system and 3ATM with some models.
You may as well buy a used Grand Seiko spring drive for that money
grade 2 not grade 5 and its polish i can see even from your shots comes nowhere close to GS polish.
Grade 2 for 5.5-6k$? Good luck seiko.

Buying $6,000 Seiko is like buying a Chevrolet Caprice paying Cadillac money for a Chevy
I own a Seiko LX titanium spring drive watch and wear it more frequently than my fashionable yet extravagant Omega Seamaster.
But why tho? It's all marketing brah. So what watch would be worth buying 6000 and why? Good luck answering that one. lol.
Instead of Caprice, the comparison should be to a Chevrolet Corvette.
@ there’s an old saying the guy wants a Cadillac for the price of a Chevy
Ridiculous price for a Seiko.

@SamLed1111 so happy with the Seiko LX titanium spring drive
$6000 for that POS?....I rather get a used Grand Seiko
Yeah and at 10k why would I buy a GS I can buy a tiny vintage AP because the name of the dial matters more then aesthetics and design
