Not sure why, but it is very difficult to find a barebow archer that has crisp textbook release like the Korean ladies. Perhaps due to lack of proper foundation in archery training.

It's not as bad here, but yeah barebow archers have some ugly releases at least compared to olympic. I think string walking can create some nonlinear tension coupled with sometimes unconventional anchors.

@@wjyang77 agree with you. I am a barebower myself, and this fact annoys me a bit. In my country, I think this is one reason why the recurvers and compounders are looking down at us. A yet to be established discipline, they might think.

@@rigad barebow is respectable in it's potential to be competitive with recurve, but does end up joked about a lot.
