Could someone tell me why the barebow shoot from further forwards. I shoot target barebow and have to shoot from the same distance as all the other bow types. I can easily shoot 100 yards and cannot understand why the cannot shoot the same distance as the others at these short distances.
Differences in the standard of accuracy. You may be able to shoot 100 yards but it's unlikely to be with the level of precision and accuracy that is expected of world class competitive archers. If the barebow archers shot at the same distance, the variations in barebow scores would mean that the team with the best barebow archer will most likely win. This helps keep the competition more about the team performance. Also, keep in mind that the archers only get one shot at each target with no sighting in and no warm up arrows on the field.
This is so cool! I just wish they’d inform us of the distances better! So 1 compound, 1 recurve, 1 bare? I love this!
Enjoy watching these comps. It would be a great addition if the commentators could tell us what the distances and angles are for each of the targets.
Distance is marked at the pegs, angle is unknown. Part of the challenge is to guess correct angle and adjust for it
like MLB StatCast :))
@@ObelixCMM The Barebow archer has the real challenge guessing the angle, the sight shooters rely on their bubbles in their sights.
Interesting there are no downhill targets....
A real Challenge should include downhill targets as well across the slope targets.
Nice, I'm an Archer. I like to participate from India
digging digging...
Amazing! Shooting at different angles is challenging.congratulations to Germany's archers!
Can someone please explain to me what the difference between World Archery Championship and World Field Archery is ?

What is Steve Anderson doing at 13:10? Anybody knows ?
Maybe estimating the angle of the hill somehow
@@rubenv3026 I thought the same but not sure what is he using to gauge that. Maybe the bubble in his scope? Don't know.
The guy from Germany using 2-fingers...
if it works for him then whats the problem?
well did all field archers need 2 be fat?
Really? They couldn’t find better shooters than that? Lol
You try it.
