When I was younger this line had 12 services everyday, 24 services total
It allways was the fastest service, the publicity in the 70s was "to the beach in 4 hs and a little while"
Unfortunately in the 90s all went to decline, and Is not easy to get them recovered un a short time. I'm glad you enjoyed!

Issues of the Thomas Cook Overseas Timetable in the late 1990s in its entry for Argentina, showed 8 to 11 trips each way depending on the day of the week and season of the year. Some trips ran "as required." At least one trip each way was a night time motorrail train with auto carrier cars for passengers to take their cars as an option.

@@luiscarracedo7793 the Budd rolling stock was originally built in 1948 for the Chesapeake & Ohio Railway, for a train named the Chessie from Washington to Cincinnati. It never entered service and most of the cars were sold to other railroads. The cars sold to Argentina were modified with hook and link couplers and buffers and retruckes for 5 foot 6 inch tracks.

What a great trip in South America Train. Token signalling is still common in few parts in Southeast Asia, and yes it requires some bravery from the train staff to deliver and pickup that. Some cars in that train consists are familiar like in my country, first is Luggage Car to store some oversize luggage. But today in my country, luggage car painted with Cargo name, so rail company also received some income from Package. And second is generator car, there are two type of Generator Car in my country, first is the Generator Car is fully occupied the car and the second is they share with Restaurant/Cafe Car.

It is, even for Argentine standards, there is this idea that trains must be dirt cheap in order to be affordable for the masses. Even though I agree with the idea that trains should be more of a service instead of a way to make money, dirt cheap tickets will be harmful to our rail infrastructure in the long run and will reinforce this idea on certain part of our society which thinks that trains are just a waste of state money and the best thing to do is closing them for good

Hope one day you can do Mexico's Chihuahua Al Pacifico (known locally as El Chepe) from Chihuahua City to Los Mochis. Straight through the Sierra Madre mountains.

Very dangerous leaning out of the train to grab the token a good way to lose your arm or life!

I discovered you TH-cam channel, what I don't understand, why do we have to read instead of you explaining it to us. When reading it distracts from the viewing. Just my opinion. Thanks.
