filmmakers need to start incorporating miniguns into their movies more often, we need a new Maso’s Minigun Minute. I’ll write Zach Snyder a letter tomorrow, surely that’ll help!
Well done, gents. Loved this Snake Eyes review, hearing about Snake Eyes being nominated for an Oscar, and the speculation of a Snake Eyes sequel. And yes, Westworld. Am I right?
Wooo Star Trek is really back. Several shows (Discovery, Picard, Lower Decks, Prodigy, Strange New Worlds, Section 31 show maybe) across different time periods in the universe and a movie franchise set in another universe. How fun
This channel should have 1 mil subs at least, look forward to this podcast all week. One of the very few channels that actually makes me loudly cackle like a Halloween witch. Thanks fellas!
My ears perked up at the mention of "Hey Hey It's Saturday" ... ONLY because of that one damn Aunty Donna sketch. XD (I've watched that sketch so many times, I feel like I've actually seen Hey Hey).
well y'all were right on the money with the Oscars fan-favourite thing being ruined- Camila Cabello fans have rigged the vote so now that one Cinderella movie is in the lead. which is admittedly, pretty hilarious. I for one hope it wins.
I'm from Minnesota, and the duck duck grey duck thing works better than you think. It's not an immediate giveaway. It's not Duck, duck, duck, duck, grey duck like you said, where the first "gr" gives it away. You say various ducks to try to throw them off. Example: "Fast duck, slow duck, yellow duck, sad suck, grrrre_______een duck, orange duck, blue duck, little duck, big duck, grrre___eat duck, James duck, Maseau duck, Robat battinduck, GREY DUCK!!!!!" A lot more fun, interesting, and dare I say intellectual than simple Duck Duck Goose.
I love that although they made Peacemaker and Vigilante goofy idiots, they're still badass in a fight and with weapons. So often those types of characters are just there to get beat up. I hope Gunn keeps doing comic book stuff, him and Taika are great at it.
Was lying in bed this afternoon - feeling ill - listening to this and I genuinely thought I had fever-dreamed the whole bit about the John Cena/Wile E Coyote/Acme movie until I listened back again later. (Unless I'm also fever dreaming writing this comment.)
When the guys were mimicking the Australian accent of the actress, for a brief second, my mind was like "these guys do a pretty good Australian accent..." and then they went back to their regular voices and I was like "oh yeah"....
As much as I would love to see Charles Xavier show up in Mutliverse of Madness. I would also laugh myself to tears if that "Illuminati" is just a council of Alternate Universe Sorcerers Supreme and Stewart is just playing Dr. Druid.
47:21 haha James Gunn didn't "move over to DC" "by accident" the Alt-Right went through his old tweets and got him fired from Disney. The dead baby tweets didn't go over well with the House of Mouse.. but then they realized that if he didn't make GotG 3 that they'd literally be leaving *a billion dollars* on the table. So Disney just waited a year and changed their minds hahahahah
Not really. It was a snap decision by one of the high-ups on the board, and they pretty much immediately realised they'd been played by bad-faith actors, but couldn't walk it back straight away because of corporate politics about appearing weak or indecisive. Gunn mentioned it in an interview one time, they basically said "Go lay low, do some other stuff for a bit until the air clears on this". He wasn't even really properly "fired", because he didn't have a fully active film in production at the time.
I’m from Minnesota and it is, to our shame, Duck, Duck, Gray Duck. Also, you missed a chance to do the Little Tom Holland voice for his abysmal casting in Uncharted. (Edit a few minutes later: yay, you did the voice! 🤡🤡)
Ok so I'm also a Minnesotan and can verify we do Duck Duck Grey Duck. It makes it more challenging, and also we used it in Spanish for learning colors where we would say any other lead color but we were off on gris pata.
Yeah it also adds a lot more to that movie when you have context for him and the other ARGUS agents to. THE SUICIDE SQUAD SPOILERS: It makes Rick Flag's death more impactful since it had a long lasting effect on Chris.
Hey James and Mason, you should check out the LOTR series on the channel Wisards and Warriors. It covers time period that the series will cover. Its very well put together in shorts little segments.
Feels weird to me that there has to be an introductory note for Francis Ford Coppola for le he dart director of The Godfather Trilogy and Apocalypse Now in an podcast partly devoted to movies and cinema
Guys................................. It's not Tom Cruise in an Iron Man suit, or Monica Rambeau. It's Maria Rambeau from a universe where she flew with Mar Vell instead of Danvers.
Isn't the "where's your rogues gallery" bit from a Wonder Woman book? EDIT - Yeah, she says "There's a reason I don't have a list of villains as long as Bruce's, or Barry's, or even yours. When I deal with them, I deal with them." EDIT MK II - The lady that kills robots is named Aloy.
I figured dr strange would tie into the loki series, considering the whole series dealt with the multiverse. The illuminati will actually be a council of kangs
25:50 Wait. Star Trek *4*? When the fuck was there a Star Trek *3*? EDIT: I looked it up. I simply refuse to believe this is a real movie. This is some guy's deep fake that somehow got released in theaters. It simply cannot be.
Hey boys. don't mean to alarm you but at around the 3 min mark you guys say you're reviewing Snake Eyes. But in the timecodes, not one Snake Eye to be found. Hopefully just a mistake, very excited for the Serpent Ocular conversation
Peacemaker was great, I was super impressed with John Cena's performance and I like how everyone got a chance to show their full acting chops what I don't agree with is James' embrace of white supremacy, but I guess what are you gonna do
Every time a master of filmmaking dismisses superhero movies, I want them to try one. A good filmmaker should be able to make any subject matter interesting.
Exactly tell their version and let’s see what they do . It could lead to some real interesting movies. That is what I would be calling for if I was them to let them do one with freedom
That's assuming they even want to make a superhero film. Even then, we don't know if they would be given the creative freedom to make the movie they'd want or are capable of, which is a tall ask considering how hands-on DC and Marvel are in their respective films.
I also get the impression that they haven't actually watched any of them. Like, they're not without valid criticisms, but I'm yet to hear one of these directors not come off like an old man rambling about something he doesn't know anything about.
Been going through cancer for the past 9 months and these podcast really help pass the time with a smile. Thanks for everything, keep it up.
Your a bloody legend...stay strong mate!
I s
hope you're still watching with a smile... they just keep getting funnier.
Monday is the best time of the year and I'm not just talking about bloody tax rebate time
I’m going to say best podcast ever, due to Tax Season Joke’s performance alone
Minnesotan and it was always GOOSE
21:59 It's been happening more often lately that one of them is completely caught off guard by the other's joke and I love it.
I love it when Nick Mason is on a podcast
Always a nice surprise
I like it because I know when he’s on they are about to review snake eyes
Less Nick Mason cos Nick Mason hates reviewing bad movies
@@FlynnTheRedhead
You will be pleased to know. They have finally set it for next week. Brush up if you need to!😮
filmmakers need to start incorporating miniguns into their movies more often, we need a new Maso’s Minigun Minute. I’ll write Zach Snyder a letter tomorrow, surely that’ll help!
"After Andrew Garfield, nothing can be believed" is my new favorite out of context statement.
I watch the Peacemaker intro every single time! It just makes me smile and I love how goofily serious the performance is!
Vigilante just loving it makes it unskippable
Well done, gents. Loved this Snake Eyes review, hearing about Snake Eyes being nominated for an Oscar, and the speculation of a Snake Eyes sequel. And yes, Westworld. Am I right?
Snake Eyes Cinematic Universe
Something something somehow corn of coblin returned
FFC's comments on Snake Eyes were incredible
"A man could change his clothes."
"I'd love that to be true, Mason. Oh what a dream."
I don't know why, that cracked me up.
Don't need to change clothes when you have Mack Wheldon clothing
I find it creepy that James and Mason said this as soon as I started reading this comment. 🤣🤯
"there wasnt a cinema tall enough for that aspect ratio" i legit almost spit my tea i don't know why that made me laugh so much haha
21:45 and on was hilarious. The whole Mario thing and then the knuckles debate are gold😂
I had not thought about that intro skipping thing... Wow. Yeah. I skip ALL intro's and yet I watched Peacemaker's intro every single time :) Amazing.
Ha yes, Knuckles famous line from Sonic Adventure, "It's Edichna time...OH NO"
After that stellar Mario voice I think James should absolutely replace Chris Pratt as the character in the upcoming film.
Let's start a GoFundMe and make it happen
25:29
Mason : "should i hang up on verbinski?"
Nick : " yeah ...."
verbinski: " Hello... Hello..."

James knowing so much about the Vita is the real proof he's an anime expert.
Omg is that Nick Mason from the Confessions of the Idiots podcast?!
Hello. I really enjoyed listening to this. I hope they will continue doing these for a long time.
The Echidna sandwich bit was hilarious.
Update on the oscar fan votes:
2021's Cinderella is winning, with Army of the Dead in second
It's insane that it's ending up worse than the people's choice awards
My ears perked up at the mention of "Hey Hey It's Saturday" ... ONLY because of that one damn Aunty Donna sketch. XD (I've watched that sketch so many times, I feel like I've actually seen Hey Hey).
Oh my God! That bit of them doing an American accent as Sam Neill was hilarious! Hardest I laughed this whole episode
well y'all were right on the money with the Oscars fan-favourite thing being ruined- Camila Cabello fans have rigged the vote so now that one Cinderella movie is in the lead.
which is admittedly, pretty hilarious. I for one hope it wins.
Surely Spider-Man would win the fans thing though cuz it’s just so popular
44:48 How have I gone this long without ever making that connection?
I'm from Minnesota, and the duck duck grey duck thing works better than you think. It's not an immediate giveaway.

The duck duck goose take is pure gold
"Duck, duck....grey duck" 🤯🤯🤯

That's how you know a movie's gonna be great, its very existence makes you question reality itself.
When the guys were mimicking the Australian accent of the actress, for a brief second, my mind was like "these guys do a pretty good Australian accent..." and then they went back to their regular voices and I was like "oh yeah"....
"we're going to review Snake Eyes"... *Looks at time codes.... Are you?! LOL
S tier cast from you blokes, so much funny, much smile
As much as I would love to see Charles Xavier show up in Mutliverse of Madness. I would also laugh myself to tears if that "Illuminati" is just a council of Alternate Universe Sorcerers Supreme and Stewart is just playing Dr. Druid.
I really loved Peacemaker! The writing and the execution in general was great.
47:21 haha James Gunn didn't "move over to DC" "by accident" the Alt-Right went through his old tweets and got him fired from Disney. The weekly planet with special guest star Nick Mason!
You love to see it.
Congrats Greg!
Ok so I'm also a Minnesotan and can verify we do Duck Duck Grey Duck. It makes it more challenging, and also we used it in Spanish for learning colors where we would say any other lead color but we were off on gris pata.
To really see the character change in peacemaker one really does need to see James Gunn’s suicide squad
Yeah it also adds a lot more to that movie when you have context for him and the other ARGUS agents to.
THE SUICIDE SQUAD SPOILERS:
It makes Rick Flag's death more impactful since it had a long lasting effect on Chris.
@@Kango234 exactly he goes from a hated character to one in one of the greatest super hero shows of all time
Drax, Harley, and Adebayo all went through a big space tentacle monster... loved all three but... samey?
Cant wait for the Stones and Bladders Boys podcast
I re-watched Super recently and was reminded that they had an (animated) intro dance sequence including all the characters in the movie
Hey James and Mason, you should check out the LOTR series on the channel Wisards and Warriors. It covers time period that the series will cover. Its very well put together in shorts little segments.
I'm certain they CG'd Robert Patrick to be larger than Cena at the end, it was done to convey his dad looming large in his head.
Feels weird to me that there has to be an introductory note for Francis Ford Coppola for le he dart director of The Godfather Trilogy and Apocalypse Now in an podcast partly devoted to movies and cinema
Nolan moth also did the motion capture as well as voice
30:00 That's exactly how Patrick Stewart would say "Budweiser."
Hand to God, I was half convinced he walked into you stuio to deliver it himself.
What computer has the best singing voice? A Dell.
It’s been a year, it’s on streaming and I’m watching Uncharted! 😂
George Lucas was supposed to direct Apocalypse Now which is why Harrison Ford's character is named Lucas
I love that James has no idea what episode 1 from Oct 2020 is.
If only he could forget W***w***d. One can dream
He really loves rhythm Martin Malloy sketch.
Guys................................. It's not Tom Cruise in an Iron Man suit, or Monica Rambeau. It's Maria Rambeau from a universe where she flew with Mar Vell instead of Danvers.
Ummm James, Indy goes under Venice and his dad gets shot in Last Crusade not Raiders.
Haven’t watched in months and I’m glad west world is still going
Cant believe he got THE nick mason on the podcast
I wasn´t gonna leave a like, but then they said leave a like, so i left a like

1:50:30 the phrase your looking for is "Corn fed* american boy." I don't want to think about what a corn bred american boy is.
mmm a delicious Henry Cavill made entirely of cornbread 🤤
I voted for Boaty McBoatface for Fan Favorite Oscar.
Nice to see the return of sad mario
cyborg is back lol
LET'S GOOOOO INSOMNIA GANG
Space Olympics! :D So great.
I voted for The Dark Knight for fan favourite movie, for Heath Ledger's performance alone.
"KJ Apa who plays Archie is Aussie" "Born in Auckland, New Zealand".
The Aussies are at it again!
The intro of Peacemaker reminds me of COPS, I always watch the intro ,never the show
At 39:00 Mason finally admits he's the furry . Deep down I always knew.
thought the villain was still Nightmare in MVOM
I wasn’t really paying attention - Did you ask if Gore Verbinski directed Bad Religion’s classic ‘American Jesus’ video?
Yes.
Little known fact: Sonic's friends call him "little Prick"
🤷🏾♂️
I lied, but they should.
Charles Xavier voice sounds "weird"
Monic, Tom Cruise Stark, or maybe Iron Lad? Because, why not make things even more mad?
lou ferrigno as professor hulk variant or the maestro would be cool
"you cannot have Tom Holland shoot 200 men". Wise words..wise words
Amazing thumbnail
Loved the show, but very underwhelmed by the big fight between peacekeeper and his dad in the finale.
Ash already appeared in the Marvel Zombies universe in Marvel Zombies Vs Army of Darkness. Groovy!
Looking forward to the Delta 8!!
Just weighing in, based on my limited knowledge of Sonic, Knuckles would absolutely say “Have an echidna sandwich”.
You should review Legend of Vox Machina next week!
Your damn right by popular demand.
Just fyi, James Gunn directed all but three episodes, with Jody Hill, Rosemary Rodriguez, and Brad Anderson each directing one.
"Echidna Sandwich" is a GODLY HILARIOUS LINE
I figured dr strange would tie into the loki series, considering the whole series dealt with the multiverse. The illuminati will actually be a council of kangs

what I don't agree with is James' embrace of white supremacy, but I guess what are you gonna do
I read this before I got up to that bit and was like "WAIT WTF"
I love Sister Hazel.
And the Fan’s Choice Oscar goes to…Suggestible?
I'm glad Mason noticed the similar vibes between the "Maid Marian crush" and "White Supremacy sympathizer" banter, I was about to comment that.
