This song was a lot of fun to do, it was a bit of a challenge trying to incorporate the dubstep elements into the end of the song, but I think it turned out well.
I also love The Amazing Spider-Man 2. If Electro was the only villain in the film, it would probably be my favourite Spider-Man film. The MCU Spider-Man movies don't seem to have the same spectacle as the older ones. If you think of any Spider-Man swinging scene, it's either from the Sam Raimi trilogy or The Amazing Spider-Man movies. The opening of TASM2 is the best depiction of Spider-Man by far, the swinging scene is amazing, and hopefully we'll see something like that in the next Spider-Man movie seeing as he's back in the MCU now.

This is an underrated score mainly because the movie is a mix bag, but Hans Zimmer is always great.
The music is definitely the best thing about the movie.

Am I dreaming? Yes. I’ve found some folks who understand The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is underated along with its soundtrack. The last Spider-Man movie that feels like it’s produced by people who wrote out the starting plot and let the story write itself. Now, Marvel movies, especially the Disney ones, just feel so tied to random overproduced ideas.

I feel that this theme is so underrated… it invokes Max as a very confused individual who feels odd, strange, and isolated from everyone else. As the theme goes on, it makes the feeling that he’s spiraling deeper into his own demise like a rushing current surging harder as it continues down a circuit
The song echoes his inner voices loud, he’s being betrayed “he lied to me, he’s dead to me, the enemy inside of me” that is loose, a normal person gets pulled away from a more soft sound into a highly electrical fuzz.

Fun fact : tasm 2 maybe a nightmare of a story but it was originally 8 hours long (tasm 1 was 4) but sony and avi arad (the same person who canceled 90s spiderman and ruined spiderman 3) cut it all out for marketing

I honestly feel bad for max. He was a nobody, and needed a friend, he was wronged by people. Electro needs a redemption. Hopefully he gets one in No way Home

Weird this theme was one of the good things to come out of that movie besides the web swinging scenes
Gwen's death was also really well done.
And the character moments were also pretty nice.
The biggest problems of the movie were:
-The writing of Harry Osborn
-cutting away from the last fight
-the story of Peters parents
-removing the scenes that would have made the parents story a bit more bearable.
But don't pretend like it was all shit. Webb just got fucked over by Sony trying to make this movie more of a setup for future movies than a character-driven story.

Max Dillion in the Amazing Spider-Man is a great example of the world creating a villain. Max was the nicest person imaginable who did everything he could to do what was right. But no matter how hard he tried the world kept pushing him to his breaking point and rocked him to his core. The world betrayed Max and turned him into Electro. It wasn’t Max’s choice, he didn’t choose to be what he ended up becoming, the world decided his role as the villain of the story.

funny story: around 3 years ago me and my friends made really bad original characters, that were just super powered people with labcoats that kept the powers stable. And one of my friends super power was to control electricity and could turn into electricity (basically same as electro). The thing about this score is that it starts small, which shows how Max was like before his horrific accident. He was like a nobody to everyone else. Then, it begins to grow bigger, as he is no longer Max, he is Electro. He keeps charging himself until he can withstand more electricity than ever.

The Tasm franchise was the best. It had the best and most comic accurate suit while making it realistic. They made electro look a little bit more realistic which still looked awesome. The darker tone was brilliant, it showed a side of spiderman in comics which was never in the movies before unlike ironman jr whos getting rainbows and sunshine. Andrew and Electro were actually suffering and I felt that. They were just the best
