West Clear Creek Ruins - Camp Verde, Arizona

  • These ancestral puebloan cliff dwellings near West Clear Creek in Arizona have an intact second story & at one point had dozens of separate rooms with multiple granaries. Today the main section is being held up with only three pieces of wood. It's amazing it's still standing after so many centuries.

    Been to the Bull Pen for many years, never knew about these! Sorry I missed em.

      They're really hard to find & it's an incredibly tricky, slippery sort of hike. She is one of my favorites for sure.

    This should NOT be posted with the location named… I was there yesterday. Hard to reach but easy to find thanks to this video…. 👎.. please LNT by not posting locations to delicate heritage sites online for everyone to see… all these comments prove my point … the second story will not last long even with supports when uninformed folks start climbing around the caves and dwelling. One collapsed this week in Sedona and another a few months ago. This one is VERY precariously built. Either don’t post the background or don’t post the location name please.
