VWS: Another winner 🏆 here. Village Pub looks like a locals place with fair pricing and solid food. Your articulation of the food is simply fantastic 👌.
Shin my brutha!! You took my advice and gave the Village Pub a shot, especially that $10 steak & eggs. Personally I'd have opted for their steak fries or thin-cut fries. Altho as always, you try numerous items on all the menus where you dine. This gives your subscribers a lot of choices. Love your channel!!
@@ronachten2902 LOL, my pleasure. Can't speak for all their food because I pretty much only get the $10 steak and eggs when I go there. Great value for what you get (BTW, get the skinny fries or steak fries instead of those potatoes in the video, they're always cooked fresh). Thanks to Shin for showing us other options.
Some solid dishes here for the prices. I would definitely try it especially for that pot pie! Thank you Shin for another great episode! Truly enjoyed and appreciated!
Sometimes nothing beats a slice of buttered toast! All the food looked great. And the prices were surprisingly reasonable for what you get. And it looks like a nice, laid back atmosphere.
This is my type of restaurant! Low key, laid back, good food, fair prices. I know I go pretty hard at some fancy places but I'm a really simple guy when it comes to my every day comforts. Thanks for watching!
Love your new locals review in addition to the strip. Next time you try the steak and eggs ask for the poatoes well done and add onions and peppers, adds lots of flavor. I still add little pepper and salt though. Tots are awesome. You tried lots of things I never would've. Now I have to go more often to eat other items😊
I'm enjoying making these local videos a lot also! I do love peppers and onions in my potatoes. And yes, so much food to try here! Thanks for watching!
I'm sold! I love chicken pot pie and that beautiful golden color had me crossing my fingers. So glad it was great! I usually can't get away from ordering that fantastic steak deal but now I can't wait to try the chicken pot pie! Thanks for the vid!
So glad you picked Village Pub! It was great to see a new one. The upholstery on those chairs makes it look kind of posh. Dang what I'd give for their chicken Parm right now. Thanks for taking us on this journey!
I AM DEFINITELY ADDED THIS PLACE ON MY VISIT LIST. ALL THE FOOD LOOKS SO DELICIOUS 😋. THANKS FOR SHARING ANOTHER EXCITING TO WATCH VIDEO, KEEP UP THE EXCELLENT WORK SHIN👍🏼😁👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

This is MY kinda food. Everything looked good. I could do some damage with that menu! I would love to try the Fish & Chips...Onion Rings and Fried Shrimp. I ♥ Bar Food! Thanks Shin for a great review as usual. 👍
My picks are the chicken pot pie, ribs, and the pannini sandwich. I don't mind less seasoning on the eggs and potatoes so I can season to taste. I find most restaurants salt the food too much for me.
Yes! The steak and eggs deal is fantastic! I actually went and grabbed a quick steak and eggs yesterday also lol. It's worth visiting I think. Thanks for watching Jerry!
Hi Shin. Comments and feedback: 1) I love how you mix strip restaurants with local places. As a subscriber from Jacksonville, Florida, it goes against the conventional thought that I (and thousands of others) would care about these local places....but we do. Why? Do we have a realistic expectation of ever eating at these establishments? No. Hell, we'll never eat at 99.9% of the places on the Strip. However, it gives us a little "flavor" (no pun intended) of what it would be like IF we ever lived in Las Vegas or what it would be like (or where we might eat) IF we lived in Las Vegas. And, for many (including myself), it provides a "getaway in the mind" or a "cheap vacation from our couch" to travel with you to these local places. Keep it up! 2) your videos and camerawork are very good, with just the right amount of editing to eliminate the "dead air" yet keep your thoughts and action authentic, including your face and initial reactions to the food. 3) your reviews are very good. Very detailed and sincere and honest while remaining "down to earth" and understandable by the "average person". You are foodie enough to be relatable and that is a hard line to walk but you do it well. You will never be Anthony Bourdain...and that is a compliment. I think Bourdain was (and is) a foodie rockstar, and I personally think he is great too, but he doesn't relate to the common man...and you do. There is a place for both of you at the dinner table. Point: don't change and be yourself. 4) I find it fascinating to look at the menus so thank you for filming each of them. It's fun to see your choices. 5) Speaking of the menus, I also find the prices fascinating with the prices at the local establishments to be 1/2 to 2/3 cheaper than the casino restaurants for the same items. Honestly, are the casino restaurants THAT much better? Hell, I would venture to say that the food at the local places is USUALLY the same, better, or ALMOST as good as the casino places most of the time. In other words, you can get the same food dishes for 50% to 70% cheaper with the same quality and taste at the LOCAL places. Agree or disagree? 5) Regarding your comment that "every restaurant is a buffet as long as you are willing to pay the price": I agree 100% percent. For example, you recently paid about $250 for dinner at a restaurant (I think it was a sports bar at the Wynn) and you tried about 15 items overall. Yes, $250.00 is a lot of money, but you will get at least 5-6 meals out of that selection when you take the rest of it home. So, you tried exactly what you wanted to eat; you paid for none of what you didn't want to eat, and the average (at the end of the day) worked out to about $40-$50 per meal, which is what you would pay at almost any buffet on the Strip. So, I agree what that mindset 100%. Thank you for your amount of content and keep doing your thing!
Wow lots to read here lol. 1) Glad you like both the tourist and local videos. I'm in agreement. It's nice to be able to live vicariously. 2) I'm happy to hear my video style works for you! 3) I appreciate that. Yes, I'll just stick to being myself. It's what I'm best at lol. 4) Not only fun, but informative! 5) Agreed for the most part. The biggest difference comes from quality of ingredients. A local place may have a great cook but a choice steak cooked well just can't compare to a prime steak that's also cooked well. 6) Yes! And it's just a clever rhyme lol. Thanks for watching!
Certainly the strip and other tourist centered locations are incredibly expensive but there seem to be plenty of fairly priced eateries around for locals when you take a look. I'm looking forward to finding more local spots. Thanks for watching!
Everything looked really good except the potatoes that came with the steak. They looked undercooked on camera, no browning at all. I need to try that tuna melt, shrimp pasta and pot pie! Those sweet potato tots looked delicious too. Another great video Shin!
This one seems better than the last one. The Lodge was okay at best. If you're ever looking for different scenes, Spring Mountain and Rainbow both have some great restaurants. Ton Ton is always a delight if you haven't been.
I believe my next Tuesday locals video will be coming from Chinatown. A cool one coming. I'll be checking out a bunch of places eventually but I wanted to focus on some bar and grills first. I'll add Ton Ton to the list to check out. Thanks for watching!
This was such a great video. I am loving these Tuesday videos so much, you are giving me so many ideas of places to venture off the strip to. You are seriously my favorite Vegas food reviewer! Keep up the amazing work Shin!!!
Yep! I try and show a good comprehensive view of the restaurant if I'm able. Very hard to judge an entire restaurant based on one or two dishes. Thanks for watching!
OMG Shin you're almost at 16k subscribers! Seems it wasn't long ago you hit 10k. 😁 I love these types of places with a variety of comfort food. Chicken pot pie is my favorite. 😋
I love the village pubs. I get the $9.99 steak and eggs but also try their daily specials. They also have prime rib on Saturdays for $21.99 4 dollars cheaper than their Ellis Island prime rib
Lifelong local here…for something similar to VP, but IMO with better food, try The Bar. We prefer the Grand Canyon location. Other good “bar food” places are Las Vegas Brewery and McMullan’s if you’re looking for real “pub” food. Try the Irish Nachos!
Hi Shin! I just recently found your channel and have binge watched tons of your videos. You are probably the best food reviewer on the planet! We frequently come to Vegas from California and I was wondering if you have any recommendations for must-try restaurants near Mandalay Bay/Delano? Keep up the great work!
Welcome to the channel Diane! I'm happy to hear you're enjoying the videos. Lots of great restaurants in the south end of the strip. I like Strip Steak at Mandalay Bay. Craft Steak at MGM Grand is very good too. If you're looking for something a little cheaper, I oddly really love the chicken tenders at the Original Chicken Tender at the Luxor food court. Thanks for watching!
These places really miss an opportunity to make the chicken strips in house. They are cheaper overall even with the added labor compared to the TYSON bought pre-frozen ones. Plus people know when they are frozen. Not that it is a bad thing but you can make your name for yourself if they are freshly made. That is my only critique, not a complaint. Based on your video I give it a 4.2 rating out of 5. Anything over 3 is a win because I am going off of visual plus pricing and your review. Thank you SHIN see you Saturday!
I've made my fair share of chicken strips and it's pretty manually intensive to hand bread a lot of them lol. 4.2 sounds fair to me! Thanks for watching!
Shin, have you ever reviewed Bautistas Hole in the Wall. I don’t think their food is really good anymore, but I think a review there would make a fantastic video..
Another great review. I appreciate it when they don't over season the food. Seasoning is such an individual thing. Many people have dietary issues & it is nice to salt & pepper to taste. Go for it if it needs more. Village Pub looks like a bargain.
My new favorite TH-camr,shin u really treat every restaurant like a buffet, not like those other food channels on TH-cam who is scared of ordering appetizers and goes straight for the entrees because it’s pricey (Danny the medic)
I enjoy Danny the Medic's content. His videos are much more about his personality whereas I really just focus on the food I think. But I'm glad to hear I'm your new favorite! Thanks for watching!
Great review, too bad for the burger 😮😤🤦...it looked dry and overcooked...all the dishes looked yummy, but my favorite would have to be the chicken pot pie 👍🤣...glad you both enjoyed yourselves...stay safe, God Bless and see you Sat 😉🙊🤗
It was definitely more done than I preferred but not to the point it was dry at least. It was decent. The chicken pot pie was a huge surprise. I wasn't expecting it on the menu and I loved it lol. Thanks for watching Jade!
Shin, you told me last time I sent a comment that you intend to review all major Las Vegas restaurants in the next ten years I'll be along with your journey .I'm hopefully planning a trip to Vegas soon, and I'd like to go to the best upscale Chinese restaurant in town. Can you kindly tell me if and when you will review Mott 32 and Wing Lei? I've have heard these two are among the best and I would love to hear your opinion on both of them. Thank you Shin, and I enjoy your content greatly greatly .
Hmm, I don't think I had either of those restaurants coming up any time soon. I do have Jasmine at the Bellagio currently planned for Spring. I can look to change that out to Mott32 or Wing Lei. Expect the video sometime in March/April. Thanks for watching!
The absence of prime rib was saddening but I thought all the food I tried were about as good if not better than anything I've had at the Ellis Island location. The pot pie was awesome. Thanks for watching Ruth!
Restaurants like this in the lower end chains don’t add salt and pepper because there older customers can’t eat a lot of salt & pepper ✅ that’s why it’s on the table jazz it up 👍
Shin, thanks for your reviews. My opinion is that the Village Inn Fish and Chips could be the best in the Valley. I think they are better than Gordon Ramsey's at his Pub and his place on Linq Lane.
Yeah, no prime rib at this one which was one of the dishes I always used to get at the one at Ellis Island. Some other variations as well. I like the local menu, but I wouldn't mind if they threw a prime rib on there lol. Thanks for watching!
LOL! 3am chicken strips after 7 drinks will probably always go down well. I didn't get the fish and chips because I've already tried them in my Ellis Island video. Thanks for watching!
Okay I have to ask, don't they put salt and pepper on the tables in Las Vegas? I've never seen you use anything on your food, even when you complain that something needs more salt. A lot of restaurants will deliberately under salt their food expecting you to add salt if you think it needs it, same thing with pepper. The same goes with things like hamburgers or french fries, don't you get any ketchup or ranch dressing or something to put on them.
I understand your reasoning but I think it's flawed because it's a slippery slope. Where does that stop? Why is that acceptable for some dishes and not others? If you follow that logic to its conclusion without creating arbitrary rules, no food should be sent out of the kitchen seasoned when the salt and pepper is available to you at the table if you think it needs it. Even beyond that, just based only on your own comment: Do you surmise then that they prepare it differently if I order for takeaway when there is no guarantee to be additional salt and pepper? That's why I comment on the seasoning, because I'm reviewing food how it comes from the kitchen. But I'm open minded to hear why that shouldn't be a thing. Thanks for watching!
Typically when I go, we'll look over the menu and I'll ask if there's anything they want to try. After I know what they want to try, I order around it to get the most variety and then we share all the dishes. I pay for everything at the end except any alcohol. Thanks for watching!
What's your favorite bar and grill in Las Vegas?
Check out BAR (Born and Raised)! It’s my favorite 🤩
I haven’t been to any, but will try this place. Ty
So far it's PT Gold. Always love getting their burgers and pizza when I go there to hang out with coworkers
Peppermill hands down

Another great review. I appreciate it when they don't over season the food. Seasoning is such an individual thing. Many people have dietary issues & it is nice to salt & pepper to taste. Go for it if it needs more. Village Pub looks like a bargain.
Glad you enjoyed! Village Pub is a great spot for sure! Thanks for watching!
Great video shin..have you try
OLE RED bar n grill that just open ?
It’s on Las Vegas blvd n flamingo
I will have a video out from the Ole Red this coming Saturday! I hope you'll check it out!
Hi Shin, loved this menu and the plates you ordered. A definite must try when I'm in Vegas! Thanks you! Karla in Cali.
Nice! I'm glad I could get you a good recommendation here! Thanks for watching Karla!
Ok. Shin. You just gave me a great dinner idea when I go back to Vegas.
Nice! I hope you enjoy it when you give it a try! Thanks for watching!
I’m enjoying your videos and your positive reviews even if you are not a fan of something. New subscriber here
I'm glad you like my style! Welcome to the channel!
STEAK EGGS 🥚 SPECIAL ... I'll try it 👍
Yes it was very good, especially for that price! Thanks for watching!
Another terrific video! You'll have to go back and review the French Onion Soup!
I'm glad you liked it! I've had their onion soup before and it is very good! Thanks for watching!
My Favorite Is The Reuben Sandwich at The Village Pub!
Oh! I'll have to give it a try sometime. Thanks for watching!
It's really good The Best I have ever had I Love Reuben Sandwiches! Also At Sahara Casino they have A really good Reuben Sandwich At Zeffers Cafe!
can't go wrong with a $10 steak & eggs
Yes! $10 is such a great price for how much you get from that meal. Thanks for watching panjo!
Hey, when i saw the title for this video, i asked myself why does that name sound familiar, and u addressed why. GREAT idea to compare. THANK U!!!!
Yes! It's such a famous place that people actually mistake for Ellis Island. Glad you enjoyed GL. Thanks for watching!
I'm a pot pie fan . But wow that cal Pennine! N sweet tots . Winner
Yes! All the dishes you mentioned were very good! Thanks for watching!
Happy Tuesday Shin 😊
Happy Tuesday to you as well Christine!
Can't go wrong with the steak special for the price.
Lots of food for $10. I could eat it just about any time. Thanks for watching!
Great video! How do you find that it compares to the Village Pub at Ellis Island (selection, quality & price)? The Pot Pie looked amazing!
The absence of prime rib was saddening but I thought all the food I tried were about as good if not better than anything I've had at the Ellis Island location. The pot pie was awesome. Thanks for watching Ruth!
I CANNOT WAIT TO CHECK VILLAGE PUB!😋
Nice! I hope you enjoy your visit! Thanks for watching!
Most of the Village Pubs have some of the best bar food in Vegas.
I agree! I was not expecting the entrees to be as good as they were. Thanks for watching!
Restaurants like this in the lower end chains don’t add salt and pepper because there older customers can’t eat a lot of salt & pepper ✅ that’s why it’s on the table jazz it up 👍
Thanks for the info!
Who isn’t in love with chicken pot pie?!
Right?? I rarely find it on menus so to find one that's good is awesome. Thanks for watching!
Shin! Another one!
Many more coming! Thanks for watching!
Shin, thanks for your reviews. My opinion is that the Village Inn Fish and Chips could be the best in the Valley. I think they are better than Gordon Ramsey's at his Pub and his place on Linq Lane.
I agree, the fish and chips at the Village Pub are definitely better than the ones at GR's Fish and Chips. Thanks for watching!
😍 @ that Pasta and Pot Pie 😍
Yes! The pot pie I'm still thinking about. Thanks for watching!
Village Pub is always a solid choice. The chicken fried steak is great.
Yes! I used to go to the one at Ellis Island quite often when I lived closer to that side. Thanks for watching!
Coronado Grill at midnight. Steak and eggs 7 bucks.
I've had that steak at Coronado Cafe probably 30+ times in my life and they execute it well. Thanks for watching!
I’ve only been to the one at Ellis island ( I’m not a local) and it seems like the menu is a little different
Yeah, no prime rib at this one which was one of the dishes I always used to get at the one at Ellis Island. Some other variations as well. I like the local menu, but I wouldn't mind if they threw a prime rib on there lol. Thanks for watching!
Go back for breakfast until 2pm. Get the chicken fried chicken and eggs. It’s fantastic.
I'll keep that in mind! I'll have to try it one day. Thanks for watching!
The chicken strips were amazing that one time I went at 3am and 7 drinks in 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
just finished the video. No fish and chips!?😧
LOL! 3am chicken strips after 7 drinks will probably always go down well. I didn't get the fish and chips because I've already tried them in my Ellis Island video. Thanks for watching!
I feel shortchanged. We have nothing close to this in Plymouth Mass.
Seems like you might need to setup a trip to Las Vegas!

I do LIKE how you review the food AS-IS ... but don't be shy to dash some S&P on it and let us know if that makes a difference 😉
That place looks sick
It's good! I'd recommend eating here. Thanks for watching!
This place is a slightly better version of Denny's.
I used to work at Denny's! I'd still say it's quite a step above my old work place lol. Thanks for watching!
You have to try the chicken fried chicken and there fish and chips
I've had the fish and chips and they are very good. Haven't tried their fried chicken though. I'll have to give it a try. Thanks for watching!
Village Pub has the best fish and chips in the world as far as I’m concerned. I only wish they had their full menu 24/7.
I had the fish and chips before at the Ellis Island location and agreed, they are very good. Thanks for watching!
❤❤❤❤
Thanks for watching!
when you are eating with others, are they ordering their own food or are you sharing each dish with them?
Typically when I go, we'll look over the menu and I'll ask if there's anything they want to try. After I know what they want to try, I order around it to get the most variety and then we share all the dishes. I pay for everything at the end except any alcohol. Thanks for watching!
