Yeah they pretty much get away with murder when dealing with their followers. Anyone in their right mind would see through their BS. But when you're born into it that's when the real "chains" go on the mind. About 90% of the people I grew up with in that faith are still followers and I doubt they'll ever leave.

When I left the jw organization few months ago I was so scared because I still believed in God but I just didn't believe what that fraud organization taught and didn’t want to join ant religious organizations either. Your bible study group on Sundays is exactly what I needed. May Jehovah reward you for being a breath of fresh air to us. I could literally listen to your teaching all day.

And then the French cuff shirts and the cufflinks, Jesus wouldn’t give a darn about French cuff shirts pinky rings and cufflinks-Let alone spending our donations on almost $1000 of high-end scotch.
My dear Brother Wilson, I have personally viewed 101 of your video presentations & find each & every one interesting & easy to understand especially with the 'BIBLE' used as proof of each & every subject. Th Governing Body is not my shepherd, Christ is the fine shepherd!
The judicial meeting was rescheduled from September 2nd to September 12th. When I showed up with one of the two witnesses that I told him I planned to bring, he (the elder in charge) stopped us at the door and said that my witness couldn't be there. I reminded him that I mentioned I was bringing two witnesses and sent him the scriptures to support me in a text and he never got back to me. The witness was my adult daughter. He said " The governing body said......" I stopped him in his tracks and said
"I told you in the text 2months ago that I would bring witnesses and you do this now ?"
My daughter just stood there. He said
"It's for your protection ". I told him that if she couldn't sit in on the meeting then I wanted to record it. He said "No". I told him that if I couldn't have any witnesses or record it then I wouldn't meet with them. So that's where we are now.
I texted him later and asked if he could give me a SCRIPTURAL answer as to how my having NO witnesses was a protection for me ?".........No response yet.
Then I texted him and said that when I was baptized I dedicated myself to Jehovah, not the governing body.......and that this is problematic🤔.
Still no response. These were the supporting scriptures that I sent 2 months ago (Dueteronomy 19:15, Matthew 18:16, 2Corinthians 13:1)
What do you think they're doing now ??
What do I think they are doing now? Avoiding you. You are handling this beautifully, respectfully, and scripturally. This is how you know that WT is actually part of Babylon the Great. They cannot or will not cooperate with you. There are really only two possibilities left, unless they just leave you alone. Hopefully, you know exactly what you want to do. True believers who read your comment will be praying for you.

I explained to my witnesses (who are on standby) that I will not disassociate myself because if I do that they wouldn't be able to talk to me anymore. I don't want to lose contact because I am beginning to reach some of them. I told them that I will just fade away but reassured them that I am still their sister. In fact, I have shared all of the text messages between myself and the elders with the two JW's whom I asked to be my witnesses and also with my daughter who is not a witness. My daughter could not believe that she couldn't be there. The elder in charge saw the look of disbelief on her face. She witnessed their attempt to bully me.
@@ohreally4758 Yes. Unbelievers simply cannot grasp the workings and attitude of a cult, even if the cult claims to be Christian. I hope you can be encouraged by Paul’s words in Heb. chap. 13, especially verse 13. I chose to disassociate in 2020 after being a JW for 40 years. I left alone. All my family remained. It is a challenge for sure, but not compared to being saved by God and delivered to Christ. The joy of finally realizing what it means to worship in Spirit and truth is simply incredible.(Joh.4:24). God is looking for such ones(vs.23).
@@ckelly5141 so, I guess I'm back to square 1........being stonewalled like I was being before Cov-19. They put me on restriction (pulled out of the theocratic ministry school, could not comment.....and according to many of my congregation members, I gave some of the most spine tingling talks !!). Well, here we are 3 1/2 years later and no change !! When I took the matter to the c.o. he said
"I don't need to hear all of the facts !!"..........
And they wonder why I insist on having two witnesses.

The good ol' days are over for the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses. The sheep are fed up with the stale food, the lack of water, being skinned and thrown about, and having no protection from wolves. The sheep are waking up and listening for the kind voice of the shepherd who loves them, cares for them, feeds them, and surrenders his soul for them. "Get back here !!", yells the GB. "You don't have enough sense to know which shepherd to follow !!" But the sheep smile and say, "Yes we do !!"

Raised a witness and in the organization for over 40 yrs. it is so important that I "unlearn" those yrs of indoctrination (and to fully understand just how the scriptures have been twisted to support those doctrines).

Agreed, unlearning those doctrines is difficult and takes some time. What Jehovah has revealed to me and done for me has been great. His voice is in the calm and he speaks to your spirit and will give you wisdom if you ask for it.

In 10 years I was totally ignored. I really like your videos because they are structured to explain, not mock. I have found myself mocking them, yet, I now know this is not befitting of a true Christian. Speak truth, call out the error, but with the respect of the King.

I agree and disagree. Some things need to be mocked and ridiculed. Too, I happened to do graduate work in NT at secular university. They are abundantly not Biblical. I cannot believe I ever believed them. But I did. C. S. Lewis even talks of mocking and ridiculing Satan. Yet you have to do it civilly. It is very hard.
If we are to follow in Jesus footsteps we must do it respectfully. Jesus condemned the Pharisees, he could read hearts and he was given authority. We were not given that authority. Apparently, the GB think they have been given that authority and we become like them if we try and take it!

I recently finished reading Eric's latest work 'Shutting the door to the Kingdom of God'.. Being an exjw, it's absolutely one of the best things I've ever read. Clear, concise and very damning, especially when it comes to exposing the GB! It's a must read for anyone seeking the real 'truth' and one everyone will want to have on their shelf. I must say back in the 70's we JW'S never heard about this Governing Body group or who was at the top level. I can't believe that the Rankin File members can sit there and listen to such hypocrisy. If I would of known they were in charge back then, it would of waken me up before getting baptized. I didn't realize then being only 16 yrs old that baptism was to be done in the Name of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit [Matthew 28:18-20] not to an organization.
We're so brainwashed from the very beginning with false hopes of paradise just around the corner instead of being taught that our Lord Jesus Christ is our Savior and we are his sheep and not men. Your video is a Wake-up call for all who listen.

Keep Exposing those Lying Hypocrites
I know from my own experience that when I was a witness that I would stopper my ears up if anyone tried to question my beliefs particularly if they began with comments like:-
You have to give a tenth of your wages,
You don't believe in Jesus,
You have your own dodgy bible,
It took several years of standing back away from the influence of the organisation and allowing myself to think freely again before I was ready to listen to out for those other voices and discern which of them was the stranger but Covid and lockdown afforded the opportunity and I found your channel amongst many others most of which showed their true colours in the end but I keep coming back here.
Hi Eric I am so glad to see your still busy in explaining scripture, another fine rebuttle to the 8 popes of Brooklyn, they are a gift that keeps giving with their erroneous teachings and manipulation, its becoming very obvious now that they are counterfeit, I pray the creator will continue to expose their lies and deciet. I had a discussion with an elder on reddit about the child abuse in the organization one of the things he said to me is pretty much the argument you laid out they said "what do you think the elders have a bag of semen for the police? They only have notes and it's the same kind of notes that the police will have." He didn't get the fact that when they find a pedophile instead of encouraging the victims going to the police about it they encourage them to remain silent and let the elders handle the situation instead because the governing body tells them to not report it so as to not stain the reputation of the organization. What none of them get is that it stains their image more by hiding these facts and not encouraging them to press charges. It's just like what they slammed catholics for when there was abuse outed in that church and they were hiding priests. I don't want to be with a denomination even if it means I cannot fellowship because I don't want to be swayed into error. It took me 12 years of independent study to undo all of the doctrine my mom taught me from the witnesses and now I have the mindset of if I don't find it I won't believe it and if I do find it I will scrutinize it to see if it stands up then I will accept it as possible. The only doctrine that matters is that of what Jesus did for us and who he is to us as his followers.

Congratulations on your new book! Thanks for covering the September broadcast...Lett's talk was truly awful. The way he spoke of the qualities of sheep was hardly flattering to the sheep. It came across as the equivalent of saying they are like "dumb blondes"! Lol. He said that without the shepherd (aka. the FDS who speak for the shepherd) , the sheep would be "defenceless"..."baaaaaa" and "goodbye little sheep". I would've found that insulting to my intelligence as a jw. One thing I noticed Lett say puzzled me and I wondered if it was deliberate or him having a senior moment. After reading Mt 24:45 " happy is he if the Master finds him doing so.." he went on to say that Jesus "found" the faithful slave feeding the spiritual food in 1919. He completely omitted mentioning they were "appointed" in 1919 to serve spiritual food. He only mentioned one, future, appointment which would be over "all" the Master's belongings. It makes me wonder if they're getting some push back on their current two appointments teaching and are paving the way for some tweaking. Or..maybe Lett's brain reverted back to the old understanding for a moment..or he kind of fused them together. Hope that makes srnse to you. Anyway, its nice to see you again and I hope you're doing well.
The new understanding makes no sense, does it? How can the faithful slave be appointed over all Christ's belongings when the faithful slave is only a handful of men (no women, of course) who were "appointed" since 1919? What about the rest of the anointed? Out in the cold? So stupid.
@@BeroeanPickets Sure is dumb. This whole "composite" slave is nonsense too. The bible says individuals will be rewarded or punished, not groups. I hate the way the GB has presumed to judge entire groups, saying that all of Christendom's churches (and its individual members) were rejected by God as weeds from 1914 onwards, while God supposedly reserves judgment on the "FDS" until the future. They may say they await a future appointment over all the belongings but really they have taken that reward upon themselves already because they have already ruled out all the "competition". Lol!

God has 'ENTRUSTED' the slave, not 'TRUSTED' the slave.
That is to say, given RESPONSIBILITY, not AUTHORITY.
In Matthew, Jesus' parable of the slave reads as being judged, not for an authority but for care of duty (caring for or abusing the Masters domestics).
Because the slave is determined to be either faithful or not, in respect to carrying out their duty.
The Authority clearly lies with the Master in this parable, who appoints a slave, that is gives someone a duty. Notice the word slave?
They aren't appointed, or titled as anything higher than slave.
And what authority does the title "Slave" bear, exactly?
But duties? You betcha haha.

How is possible for the sheep to recognize the voice of the shepherd, if the only thing are hearing is always one voice and the aren't allowed to hear anything else?
The Bible gives to all Christians a strong admonition to make sure of every inspired expression,how is possible for many brothers and sisters to do that if they are segregated to look up everything only on the WT publications, and the interpretation of the scriptures comes only from the GB explanation?

I also remember ‘bruised reed not broken, a dear sweet sister and I’m guessing you probably know her and her husband.
I remember in conversations way back when we would talk about there’s gonna be a big division in Jehovah‘s house. Those who want to follow the governing body. And those who want to follow Jesus and what the Bible says. Those that wanna follow the governing body are going to persecute those who don’t want to follow their mis- interpretations!!
What keeps me going is the 34th chapter of Ezekiel that talks about those that do not take care of Jehovah sheep. And of course the governing body thinks that’s already been fulfilled back in 1919 blah blah blah, but again just like they think there’s no evil slave, they don’t think the 34th chapter of Ezekiel has a modern day fulfillment. So on cue the man of lawlessness and the evil slave is proud and happy sitting at the modern day golden calf, the watch Tower Bible and tract Society.

Which is it, Jehovah, or Yahweh? Some say Yahweh is the oldest and correct name and accepted by most Hebrew scholars and Rabbinical and Christian theologians, but one Karite Jew and Hebrew Scholar has challenged the established narrative and stated that Yehovah is the true name and he has found over one thousand ancient Hebrew manuscripts with this pronunciation? Of course none of the manuscripts go back before the 9th century, this scholars name is Nehemiah Gordan, who is a Kerite Jew, and was on the translation panel of the Dead Sea scrolls. Yet the debate goes on.
My question is if the Creator is so almighty, why cannot he protect his true and holy name? If we pray considering these issues of the true name of God, then the use of 'Heavenly father' is more appropriate given the questions and doubt as to the real name of the Creator?

That video footage of Jade says it all. I can't believe they actually put that video footage out there. It's going to have the opposite effect and come back to haunt them. I say this because you can't silence people. If they need to speak let them speak. How else does one "keep testing ourselves to see if we are in the faith" if we keep shutting our ears? If they have the truth on their side no amount of negative information can convince anyone to turn away from the organization. My father was an elder for many years. Like you he was the best of the best of them. There is no way he would have silenced anyone's thoughts or questions. He would have listened to them and used reason, logic, and rational thinking. If he were alive today, knowing what we know now, I have no doubt he would see it like you. The truth has nothing to fear! So what are they so afraid of?
I think that many of my former friends recognize it isn't the truth, but are fearful of the consequences of acknowledging that consciously. So, they bury those thoughts down deep. That kind of mental turmoil causes so much psychological harm to the human organism. Lies, especially lies told to oneself, are like an infection that will eventually spread and consume the whole organism.
@@BeroeanPickets Strange that you should say this. I was thinking the exact same thing just before I went to bed last night. Most people are not psychologically strong enough to handle it so they don't. It's easier to bury their heads in the sand than to accept the truth and I get it. It was the most devastating thing ever to "wake up." The pain and anguish of realizing that the one solid thing we could count on in life might not be the truth was almost too much to bear. I wanted to at least tell my sister why I had backed away from the organization but she threw up a brick wall like Jade. Strange since I consider her to only be a hanger-on. Which I found really bizarre because I wouldn't even say something like that about him myself.
The skit with Jade was unrealistic. I don't think in real life if a mother was blocked at every turn to say what she wanted to say that she would suddenly do a 180 and feign interest in Jade's new found beliefs, unless she was looking for another way to challenge Jade in a more subtle and covert manner. I say this because people don't like to be silenced. It would cause frustration and resentment not an interest in a religion that was blocking her at every turn.
Sometimes it feels like we are living in the Twilight Zone. A case of the body snatchers, extreme mind control. What they don't seem to understand is the truth can't be shaken by anyone. So they have nothing to fear. Can't they see it? There are women out there in the world who would rather not know that their husbands are cheating on them. They prefer to keep their heads in the sand and enjoy the benefits they derive from the marriage in other ways. The wealth, the lifestyle, the prestige and the status. It could be the same sort of thing with JW's. They are afraid to investigate because they are afraid of what they might discover so they'd rather not know. Too much is at stake. Family, friends, positions, wrath from the organization. It just becomes easier to stay in whether they believe it or not. My guess is most don't even want to know. Take my sister for an example. She refused to read the letter I sent her as to the reasons why I left the organization because she doesn't want her belief in the organization shattered. However, she has no problem talking to me about other things. In other words, she doesn't shun me based on the religion. She doesn't stay in contact with me very much but it's based on her lack of interest in me not because she feels governed to do so. If we hadn't been raised in the religion it would be the same.
On a lighter note, I'm really enjoying your book. I'm sipping it slowly like a fine vintage wine, going over every detail:-) It is certainly well written and well thought out. I'll get back to you on it as soon as I've finished reading it:-)

They live in an artificial reality which gives them a great sense of comfort and security. They prefer the dream to reality, but reality has a nasty habit of sneaking up on us when we least want it to. Those who will run to Jesus crying "Lord! Lord!" will be convince in their own mind that they will be blessed. What a shock it will be when he shuns them and tells them, "I never knew you."

As an artist, I'm a bit dream orientated myself, but when it comes to important things, things that really matter such as our salvation, I take it very seriously and prefer to be wide awake.

Simply reading surrounding verses in the Bible and her using another version while she can ,can reveal the twisted message. God seems always to have a window of opportunity to have his sheep hear and see the truth.

I noticed you mentioned the two disciples on the road didn't recognise Jesus because he was a different form. That's old witness training. If you read Luke 24:16 it states that their eyes were restrained from knowing him. Jesus prevented them.
I enjoyed your talk. It is always the same deceitful technique. To prevent a witness from listening, processing and using critical thought. Yet the other side of their mouth they say, to research, study because you have free will. I think now, that they do know the manipulation they are using to stay in control. @@ProselyteofYah I understand your point and I believed as the witnesses did for 54 years but have changed my view primarily because of the scripture I quoted and the thought regarding Lazarus resurrection. Also the body of Jesus was gone from the tomb. He also showed Thomas his wounds. Clearly Jesus had powers and he could do anything he wanted. But the gospel states that he died and was brought back from the dead. Of course when he ascended he shed that body in whatever way he decided to do this.
Obviously Jesus would not leave any part of his physical body which is similar to how Moses was taken. Humans would worship the relics. Also another good reason no one knows the location of his tomb or wraps.

"The FAITHFUL and wise servant" is appointed over the masters household, and when the master returns the faithful slave is blessed and appointed over all the master's belongings.
The difference between what Jesus meant and what Lett is saying is who and when.
The traditional Christian interpretation is as you said in your video, all children of god from the apostles onwards are the faithful slave.
