@@dudemorris7769 Hope they turned out well! I definitely recommend popping the ready to bake star in the fridge to decrease the amount of butter that melts out. Also, baking in a 10” caste iron helped keep it from spreading larger than the gift box.
I will be trying a few of these recipes tomorrow. Can you tell me where you order the bread boxes with the windows for your Christmas wreaths and other goodies? I would much rather they be displayed then wrapped. Your work is beautiful and simple to understand. You do a thorough job explaining everything and demonstrating it as well. Apologies if you’ve answered this question elsewhere - I haven’t been able to find it. Have you tried freezing the cinnamon star prior to baking? I’d like to be able to prep several of them ahead of time and bake just prior to gifting.

Hi. I just found your channel. These look amazing! I am going to make the cinnamon for Christmas breakfast! My question is, does the starter discard need to be recently fed? I usually keep my starter in the fridge and use it straight from the fridge. Should I feed it the day before or can I use it from the fridge (unfed)? Thank you.
Could I make the Christmas star the day before Christmas and reheat Christmas morning? I don't want to be spending a lot of time in the kitchen Christmas morning.

Unfortunately I don’t find that works for this particular recipe! You could make cinnamon rolls tho. I just don’t find the dough twists as well with fresh milled
When you say Levan in the recipe, is that your active sourdough starter or a preferment levan? Sorry, I’m very new to sourdough and I’m learning so much watching you
I am making the cinnamon star dough recipe, I mixed all the ingredients with ap flour (300g) and it was very shaggy and sticky. Am I supposed to knead in more flour until the dough isn’t sticky? If so, I probably kneaded in at least 1/4c more flour so I could handle it. Thank you!
You don't "use" chocolate bread, you just eat it. Like you just eat Cinnamon Raisin Bread, or a Pumpkin Bread, or a Banana Bread. Just enjoy it. Toast it, butter it with a little jam...... JUST EAT IT!
I purchased the Master Class at regular price. Do the videos expire? I couldn’t download them to make sure I can keep the tutorials.. I revisit them. I’m afraid there is an expiration?! Where do I go to get the recipes. They are free on U-tube🤷♀️

Leaven is a larger feed of starter as a preferment for dough!

Always depends on your discard! If it’s a bit thinner then more flour is needed :)

These are so gorgeous! I was wondering if you are using brown rice flour or bread flour to dust on the top of the loaves before scoring?
