I tried learning this a while ago and it was too hard, I'm coming back to it now and it's really encouraging bc now I'm nailing the parts that used to seem impossible :) thank you for making this video!
Make use of the playback speed option!
I can play the main riff up to speed, but I'm still working on the intro. Went from .5x to .65x to .75x.
I've got a long way to go to play it at normal speed fluently, but I'm getting closer.
Julia is a *cheffs kiss* amazing Bassist and this rendition is fire AF but lets not forget that Thundercat orignially wrote this. His playing on the tiny desk version is just the best. Love em both, thanks Darth Mart!!!

One little question for the music guys out there, when she does all the soloing stuff, is there a logic to it ? like is it part of a scale or something ? because it might make the learning of those solos much easier if we can understand where it comes from

The soloy parts are in Dorian mode I think. Look that up.

Hey not to be a killjoy but did you get permission to post these tabs? Her cover tabs are only available through her Patreon which you have to pay for, and putting it out for free seems kind of unfair to her.
I was only uploading these tabs before she was putting them up on Patreon. I stopped as soon as she started doing so and I reply to every single comment I get requesting more juliaplaysgroove saying that I won't cover her material anymore for this exact reason.

@@heyitsikmal I don't have that unfortunately. What you could do as a workaround is find the Mac Miller track with the original bass and play Julia's parts that I tabbed on top of it.

If you mean the notes within brackets, that just means the note is held down.

Ohhhhh, those are harmonics. So with your finger resting on the 7th fret (but not holding it down), you pluck the note which makes the string ring out.
