Daniel Caballero To be honest when I saw the outfit/glasses and what looks like a wood panelled wall, I was half expecting to see a crt monitor with windows 95 running on it in the background. It makes me feel so old that I remember all these ‘retro trends’ from when they were current 😂. Awesome playing though! Goes to show that practice and talent are the key not gear. She’s spent the money where it counts tbf, the subs are great instruments, and the b3 can do most bass tones convincingly enough that 99% of people would never know it wasn’t the actual amp/effects being used.

Greasy and so stank, love how she nails the “stingers” perfectly and covering a lot of real estate in a hurry without letting off the groove once. Masterfully played with flawless technique and feel, especially being that young. Very impressed! 🔥💯

By some reason very few guitards can nail the groove when playing the bass. A bass is not a simpler form of a guitar with two strings less. The groove, including usage of dead notes and syncopations is completely different from what most guitarists might play. (I have played both guitar and bass for ages so I do have some insight in both worlds. Julia is a great bass player. I'm good, but I wish I was so right in the pocket as she is).

Drums are most important, then I’d say bass, then prob chords and then lead. Cool wise - I rarely find visually watching a bassist cool, it’s kinda awkward, but listening to it is the best. A good bass line is unique. But drums set the tone for sure
Only a drummer can recognize this because they are so symbiotic in a band. A bass needs percussion to hit hard and vice versa. I would rather learn bass before guitar, and that's coming from a drummer

One of the most noteworthy things about your playing is just how clean and well articulated your notes are. Superb muting from both hands, absolutely no extraneous noise. Also, amazing sense of groove.

A great bass and excellent value for money, I believe the earlier ones were made in the USA, later ones in Indonesia, some of the differences between them and the Sterling or Stingray; the body is poplar instead of ash and has no body contours, a 2 band eq rather than 3 band and the neck is gloss painted. Not sure about the hardware or pickup, but I suspect budget versions/copies of those fitted to Ernie Ball models.
