She practices singing on a treadmill so that she can drum and sing at the same time so flawlessly. The background vocals were being sung and octave lower by the guitar player. The effect you heard was just an echo effect on the vocals.

Dude, i have seen them live three times. All three sisters can sing lead vocals. Sadly, i have not seen Ale do it because her leads are a rare occurrence. With that said, you need to react to dust to dust live at Teatro Metropolitan CDMX where Pau is the lead in the entire song (again). This band is very versitile and fluent. Pau is the real deal. She sings a lot while drumming.
Paulina SINGS, my favorite performance of her is in a song "Ugh" in San Francisco that is sang by Dany, but she forgets the verses, she looks at Pau and Pau starts singing mid song perfectly in tune a song that she obviously has not practiced since is not for her to sing. That is as real as it gets.
Her singing lead on “Choke” to give Dany’s vocals a rest is one of my favorites because Dany has more range than Pau but her vocals sounded just as good even tho both have different unique sounds to their voices
Pau singing lead on money in the live radio station performance when Dany was sick was astounding, and Ale filled in a couple different lines from her usual part also there

Pau is an absolute beast. The way she can disconnect her hands and feet from her vocals is just ridiculous. I can barely walk and talk at the same time.

I found this band a few months ago and I'm hooked. There have not created a bad song yet. All three sisters are amazingly talented.
Glad to see you back checking out The Warning. Yeah, she is singing live. She does about 20% of their songs as lead from the drum kit. She practices singing while running on a treadmill to build the necessary stamina and to build up the abdominal support to compensate for all the percussive motion while she is playing. Since you last reacted to them, they played live at the 2023 VMA's. They performed "More" and "Evolve" in front of a crowd that had no clue who they were. The performance was epic. DPA converted them on the spot. Since then, their TH-cam subscribers and views have skyrocketed.
Pau is a legend in the making! She starts most of their songs as ballads on the piano. Check out her cover of Creep by Radiohead. It'll stun you!

Yes, she is singing live. They were also the only band that sang and played live at the VMA awards this year too; it is what they do best. I always tell anyone who doubts Pau is singing to watch ** Copper Bullets - THE WARNING - LIVE at Lunario CDMX ** on YT. Dany the guitar player sings lead on this song normally so this is all Pau from almost 5 years in the past. Wow!

Singing and vigorously playing the drums at the same time is one of Pau's superpowers. Another is her ability to awaken the deepest feelings of the audience with her singing. But Pau, like her sisters, Dany and Ale, has many more superpowers.

When you see them live if you're close enough you can see Pau go into an almost meditative state to control her breathing between songs leading up the the ones where she sings lead.

Nothing to be confused about the drummer (Pau)is most definitely singing and the guitar player (Dany)is just doing background vocals.
Pau has been singing and drumming since she was very little, there are videos out there and more then a few showing her singing and drumming.

If you go back to your video of them "Dust To Dust" Pau was lead vocals on it as well. I hope this song reminds you of what The Warning have in the talent department. Wait till you hear one of there songs dealing with serious topics, you'll love breaking them down. ie Koolaid Kids, XXI Century Blood, Disciple.
Yes, it’s real and probably one of the most difficult songs she sings lead on, while playing drums. This rare skill alone is what makes her one of the best rock drummers around. 😎👍
That is Pau, the drummer, really singing. They do not use any backing tracks for vocals except in a couple songs for the chorus. They do all sing live and Pau is a legend in that she can do it while playing drums. Apparently, Paulina runs every day while singing to keep her vocals in good shape so she can sing while playing drums.
You are wrong - they use quite a few backing tracks. Those are all played by them except Alessia Cara vocals in Enter Sandman and sirens in Copper Bullets. There are several songs that use a piano backing track - Survive and The One. But their use of backing tracks never replaces the singer nor the instruments and is always judicious.
I think Scott said they don't use any backing tracks for VOCALS.@@Dave_Marks
@@Dave_Marks Yes they use backing tracks for effects and for some instrumentation that they cannot actually perform while doing other instrumentation. But they don't use tracks for the actual singing or playing of their main instruments.
They have also had shows where the computer has gone down and still performed perfectly without the tracks or their click-track.
IMHO they have the perfect mindset for tracks. Use them for a little spice in the songs, but don't depend on them.
The echo of the line "Is it wrong?" is also on a backing track. But this is a rare exception. All other voices are sung live.
And on "Enter Sandman" there are more vocal layers than just Alessia's voice on the backing track. I think this is their song with the most elaborate backing track
This is their 10th year as a band. See the video they played as intermission at a couple of their concerts in Mexico this Fall. It's on their TH-cam channel.

You should see when she does very complex drum fills and double bass while singing. Not only she’s a fantastic drummer and singer, she’s also a very good classically trained pianist, and the main composer of the band (in two different languages, mind you). This girl is a freak of nature, and so are her sisters.
Yes, she sings that good while playing durms. Check out "Dust to Dust" from this same concert, Pau also sings lead and plays drums on that one. 👍
"Holy Shit" is a common phrase said by many, many people after seeing The Warning live including the director of the MTV VMA show they just played. "I'm a fan!" was the next thing he said on a hot mic.
You should really love The Warning's song Dust to Dust, Pau sings lead on it too. And Ale's bass line is incredible!
They just celebrated 10 yrs as a band about a month ago at a couple of concerts in Mexico. Pau can sing like that because she has been doing it so long. She had that head set on in the cover of Enter Sandman in 2014 and singing background harmonies (though not alot) This Teatro concert is amazing and Pau sings lead on 4 or 5 songs (one in Spanish) Dust to Dust, Revenant and Narcissista.

Not just singing the lead and playing the drums - she's doing it without making a weird drum face, she's got a complete stage presence and amazing grace. She also wrote the song when she was a teenager. Which obviously wasn't too long ago but it's just an incredible amount of talent that these three sisters have. They're not some chick band that some producers put together. These girls have been writing and performing their own songs for 10 years now. They produce and manage themselves. And my most favorite thing about them is there a '70s and '80s influenced power rock trio. Very few bands over the decades have been able to put out live sound with just a bass guitar, one guitar and a drummer. And these three sisters do it in perfect three-port harmonies as well. Most of the background vocals of song it's only a very cute dubed. They're absolutely amazing and are filling stadiums in Europe and the western hemisphere most recently all over South America where they're well known and loved. Not bad for three young ladies from Monterey Mexico! 🤟🔥
I've been lucky enough to see him three times. I've run sound for rock bands in the past and these guys put on one hell of a performance.

The Warning show how mediocre a lot of mainstream bands really are. Each of them is a phenomenal musician, able to play multiple instruments. They ALL can sing beautifully. They all write their own music - lyrics AND instrumental arrangements. Each of them is a master in their art, with well over 10 years of experience playing gigs as a band. EDIT: Oh- I forgot to mention that they are perfectly multi-lingual, as well.
wait until you find their cover of *Atlas Rise* at the Whiskey A Gogo... Pau, the drummer, sings in that one, too... it is the last actual cover they did and it was a special ending of their 2 hour long performance that night...
Pau also sings *Narcisista* , *Revenant* , and several others... she has quite the talent and capability to make grown men unable to see clearly with her voice, her emotion, and her song writing skills...

Pau's been singing while drumming since she was a tweener. she's so dedicated that she started practicing singing while skipping rope and now sings while on the tread mill. THAT"S how you get good at something! Practice!

Take another look. Pau wears a headset mic and you can hear her drawing breath as she loads up in the belty parts of the song. You can’t fake that and lip synch so perfectly at the same time.
Yes, there is an echo effect in parts of the chorus (the words wrong and gone from a backing track) but all other backing vocals are from Dany.
Singing while drumming is just as natural to Pau as walking or breathing. She probably wonders why other drummers can’t or won’t do it?
Such a beautiful song and Pau brings such passion and expression into her vocals.

I have seen The Warning live 4 times and am a very proud patreon for these 3 immeasurably talented sisters. They don't know how to write or perform a bad song. We are waiting for their 4th album and today the youngest sister, Ale, turns 19 years old. The band is celebrating their 10th anniversary.
In terms of talent, singing while drumming , the only other female singer / drummer who may have rivalled Pau would have been Karen Carpenter , imo. But for me Pau is the best ever .
I tend to think Pau is better than the late great Karen Carpenter in that she is hitting hard when she plays and that was not Karen's style. However, they both do a great job of playing a drum pattern that is unrelated to what they are singing. Karen Carpenter RIP - You died way too soon.

Paulina, the drummer also sings... this is one of the ones where she acts as the main vocalist. You can also see her singing at the same concert on several occasions like in Dust to Dust.

100% Paulina live. With a smidge of backup from her sisters. She sings in most songs. Leads on about 15% or so.
Regarding Pau singing while playing, you can hear her taking breaths during the last time she stops playing and that would never be on any backing track!!
Never doubt that Pau is actually singing and playing the drums. They do infact use a backing track. It's tough for a three piece to get that kind of sound without one.

Yes, of course she is really singing. Pau is a freak of nature in the best possible way! Yes, Dany was doing low backup vocals and there are some effects mixed in (see the studio version), but the singing is live. I have watched her sing and play drums live 5 times live, and it still blows me away how well she can sing while playing, and I am a drummer!

Yes that is all Pau singing. You can see videos of her singing and drumming as early as around 7 years old! Yes it takes practice to be this good at drumming and singing but Pau I think has a bit of natural talent seeing she could already do this about a year into drum lessons😊
