It would be impossible to do that without any political repercussions. They came close though, having shot the entire 2nd season in Taiwan which only heaven knows when it can be shown, if at all.

Yeah it’s really painful, but fortunately ms Chai Jidan released her novel publicly and thanks to the translator,Rosyspell they provide English translation of this novel I enjoyed every time whenever I read, by imagining the characters thanks to all actors they made it really great and fun , I am really addicted to it , I read both volume 1 & 2 twice a year

There will be season 2 it'll start filming soon, but unfortunately they changed the cast and changed the plot to make it a bromance it'll be produced by youku or wetv I think.
