You can expect bigger ships when they open up an new area, like that clouded area in the North Western Corner of the Chart, that will be a little tougher area for encounters.
The barque almost doesn't bleed speed, is overall faster and have lot's of stamina for long travel. Brig normally keeps easily it's 11/12 knots but stamina is an issue.

The barque is awsome. It's the second fastet ship with 15 knot. It almost doesn't loose speed facing the wind. It's tanky as hell by healing itself. big cargo, nimble, lot's of stamina. With 4 hardpoint in front, 8 in the side, 4 in the back, it has a better dps than the snow. Perfect for all around mission. The snow is beautifull, the padawakang is fun and i haven't tested the sambuk yeat.
I couldnt find a best ship. Use a pad build for forts, sambuk for large convoys, brig for gold running/pvp, snow for big fights, and barque when with friends for everything. They all have a completely different role that they are best at. If i had to pick 1 as my "daily driver" i would pick the barque.
@@Dare_To_Game best thing is, when fighting La Peste and those little boats which do so much damage are showing up, just one shot one with the Samsamas and all the other will disappear, too. Best feeling ever. Also, since I'm using black prince I even use the Sambuk to fight Zamaharibu. Kudos for adjusting your feelings, not many men can do that.
I love the graphical glitch with the cutter where the yard lines are just spidered in to the eather i was extremely noticeable when you swong the boom out and the lines were just poking out
After the upgrade ability came out the snow became a really great ship, especially if your a solo player like me. Granted ive been using the Junk alot more lately.
The sambuk is no joke its the only ship in the hame that can 1 shot multiple ships it also has the highest ammount of gunports comming it 14 brosdside cannons 6 bow and 4 stern i also have the barque and the barque is the best solo ship it heals iself including severe damage and the 3 knots trade off makes it a great PO8 runner as stated it heals itself also second highest brace in the game
The brig cargo hold is on the small side. That is a big negative as several times I have bogged down the snow due to no room left... And it has a lot more storage than the brig does.
I believe the intention is, that you give up cargo space for the high speed of Brig. But there is also available furniture that can increase your cargo space by 10% if you're so inclined.
one thing you got wrong, i dont mean to be rude but brigs and brigantenes arent the same brigs have fully square rigged sails, like the jackdaw, while a brigantene has a triangular rear sail
I guess I’m a Weirdo, I’ve used basically all the ships except that new Garuda and I like several of them, but for some reason I Just Really enjoy the Paddy! It’s Deadly with explosive weapons and I tiered my to do Massive Crew dmg as well so I trigger my Abaze Constantly and All my Explosive Dmg is Constantly Amplified, my Fire Long guns do 5k a hit when it’s at Full Buff! Idk I’ve enjoyed several ships and builds I’ve done the Paddy just feels so deadly when I use it. P.S. the only downfall is its side cannons only have 3 each instead of 4, so unfortunately it’s 2 guns down from some of the others like the Brigi!
Anyone putting the Brig at rank 1 doesn't know what they're talking about. The Snow eats the Brig easy. I've taken down many brigs with the snow and those who run away with the snow aren't doing PvP, they want to be left alone.
Your comparing 2 ships with the main purpose of very different stuff, i bet if a brigatine and a snow both maxed with weapons that suit them, the brigatine would win.

I have the Barque now, and i have been testing it quite a bit, I'm getting used to it.

I have recently adjusted my feelings for the Sambuk. It has a flimsy hull, but it's so fun to play as when the build is right.

Yeah, i am guessing most of the small ships got less attention because the devs knew people would only be using them for a couple hours.

Also as a solo player, you would want a tank ship. Not the other way around. From what some have said, the Sambuk has very little armor.
I'm sure that depends on your gameplay style. I almost always opt for DPS as a solo player, in pretty much all games.
The Snow is my favorite ship too. Love how it looks, love it in combat.

I'm giving the Sambuk some extra attention. I want to see if i can figure out how to make it as deadly as i believe it can be.
The Dhow is a really stupid gameplay decision. They should just have the option to engage in "fishing" from any ship.

The cargo space is the largest drawback of the brig. It does make my looting runs shorter than the Sambuk or the Snow.

No. Sloop is like the Beder. It's a lanteen sail, not a square sail. Brigantine is a square sail ship, which it has.
I honestly think that the brig is terrible for PvP and the snow is amazing for PvP.
I think in the right hands the Snow is probably the superior PVP ship, but i regularly beat them in PVP with my Brig.

I've considered leaning into the whole Kermit thing, but i've always been hesitant as i don't really want to be sued for copyright infringement.
The Snow lower than the other ships even thos it's the strongest pvp ship of the game and can 3v1 Brigantines...

Idk about 3v1. I've used my brig in 2v1 against Snows, and won. Its all about the weapons and the tactics.
