Son buenos los dos sets me encantaron personalmente los custom dark aunque si pudiera elegir me hubiera gustado elegir rl ride classic custom y hubiera estado 100% conforme pero hay que sacar lo mejor a su hermoso sonido
Amo los dark, el acabado hace que se aprecie la diferencia de sonido entre los platillos mucho más que los normales, pero por el acabado se sacrifica el sonido de la campana del ride y para alguien que toca songo y worship pues la campaña es importante (por el songo).
All the cymbals sounded great... But the snare.... whew weee! Mercy that snare needs to be smpled so all of us can play it. I own close to 30 snares. Each one tuned slightly different. Yet I cant seem to match his tone...
These are easily the best value in cymbals on the market right now. Meinl is on their way to just kicking everyone's ass.

I doubt the producer would ever admit this but the dark cymbals are mixed higher
I agree. I'd also argue that the slight bump is probably not for persuasion but because the darks didn't cut through like the classics.
