    If you date a man who is a good person but not a strong Christian, it is going to be difficult to submit to his leadership. He may also inadvertently cause you to fall into sin. Even if you marry a lukewarm Christian man, it may be hard to respect him. You won't be able to be the helpmate because you have to fill the leadership void. When problems happen, you can't go to him for godly counsel because he is not close to God.

      You're supposed to go to God for Godly counsel and besides yes you need a man that knows how to pray and understands that his power and wisdom comes from God!
      That put everything on the man. Honestly, I used to think this but it's a fallacy

      The problem with religion for being religious is that it allows you to quantify who God is with your five human senses, and that is fundamentally incorrect. Religion puts us in control of God by putting him in a box. puts a person at a disadvantage and limitation. God is primarily a spirit and those that choose to worship God must worship him in spirit and in truth. So it is far more beneficial to be spiritual than just religious. Being spiritual requires bone to serve God, to know who God really is and what he's been in your life; you talk to God BUT God talks back to you!! Additionally, being spiritual requires us to sacrifice ourselves or things in our life because with the Holy Spirit comes a level of accountability. That dynamic is completely void with the constraints of Religion. When you move and lead by the Holy Spirit, God is in control and you have to follow him through Faith (we walk by faith and not by sight).

    @miquelvillaroel468 ปีที่แล้ว +18

    Something needs to be corrected and that is the segment where women can choose and be patient with the guy who is moral and ethical but not spiritual. That is a bad precedent to set because a good man does not mean he can become God's man. A good man will still live in his vices, not see the need to fight against sin, literally doesn't even has power to fight against temptation and he can stay that way till Christ comes if he chooses to. A good man could only have morals and ethics in one area of his life, where God's man has the capacity to have it in every aspect of his life because he is not doing it on his own strength but God's.

      @jodezod ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@AngelaElikya I assume the original commenter means spiritual as in relating to a follower of Christ and I stand to be corrected if I am wrong. In what way does it help??? People that follow Christ choose to stay committed despite whatever they go through such as losing attraction, financial hardships, and other reasons people get easily divorced. The only reason for a divorce as a follower of Christ is because of infidelity or death of an spouse. Many people use spiritual in different ways but maybe that is what the original commenter meant.

    People love to say marriage is work like its a job they don't like. We've had a wonderful marriage. Accountability, open communication, the Holy Spirit, and each other is a great formula for a functional and wonderful covenant. It doesn't feel like work when you sever curses of generations, get deliverance, and allow the threefold cord to flourish. It's the 3-fold cord that is not easily broken. The question the young man asked was very pointed when he said he is confused about what he is looking for. God expressedly lets you know what you should look for. It's simple. You either saved or you not. And saved gets with saved and unsaved gets with unsaved. And its not enough to "go to church" and "have beliefs". You gotta really be in relationship with the Lord and be filled with and led by the Holy Spirit. You cannot functionally address what life throws at you without His Spirit. That in and of itself will give so much clarity you'll begin to have more answers than questions. It's great to seek answers, but nobody wants to be in a perpetual 360 of never being sure. There's clarity and true answers in relationship with God.

    • @justlikecarbon
      @justlikecarbon ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Everything you wrote is correct AND many folks say marriage is work like it's a job they don't like because that's lowkey how they feel. A fulfilling marriage requires sacrifice, selflessness, forgiveness, and a lot of other things that the flesh does not like. It's the epitome of denying self daily. Doubly true when you maybe weren't walking by the Spirit when you chose your spouse. And almost all marriages have patches (longer or shorter from one couple to the next) that require work (defined here as stuff you don't really want to do).🤷🏾‍♀️

Any man or woman who has not surrendered to Christ needs Jesus. OUR GOOD ain't good enough. We need Jesus to be good. Receive Jesus and He puts His Goodness on us as a gift...thats salvation and we need it.

    That whole conversation around the 1 hour mark infuriates me, the hosts have so much grace for their friend who straight up cheated on their wife and even had the nerve to ask why she was still tripping about it a year later.
    But in the same breath wanna act so hard towards the girl who Marcus caught in the club with a guy who we don't even know if she physically had sex with that dude.
    It's always the hypocrisy of men for me.
    Neither gender who steps out is in the right but it's always the difference in how they handle it which is so hypocritical. A man could cheat all upside a woman's head and their best friend like tyshawn and them will be like man she need to get over it It's been a whole year she needs to get over what is the most painful thing that could ever happen to her in her relationship;
    Yet if a woman has a lack of judgment and makes a mistake, all hell breaks loose and they go shoot up the place like that man in California did a few months ago. They'll do anything but extend any kind of grace forgiveness and they damn sure won't ever just get over it like they expect us to.
    I think what Marcus did was the perfect response. Whenever you have an issue with someone, you always confront that person directly. You don't go around behind their back and talk to someone else about it. The fact that he talked to her was perfect because it shook her ass up. She knew she had to come clean with her man regardless because she didn't know if Marcus was going to tell it or not and the fact that they're still married years later is a testament to how he handled it and it shows that that perspective that wake up call from Marcus was what she needed to realize she had a good one. Cuz let's not act like there aren't plenty of men out here that need that same wake up call. Plenty of men need to realize the good women that they have and to stop stepping out on them. And if my man's friend had had to be the one to find him in the club like that and then confront him about it and give him that same wake-up call without me knowing but it worked out for the better. I would never be mad at that. It's the wisdom he had to see the bigger picture and handling accordingly.
    I like these hosts but they really have a lot of maturing in their mind to do. Take heed to what your guest is saying.

    Great testimony about you and your wife. ❤❤❤❤🙏🏽🙏🏽❤️❤️🙏🏽❤️❤️🙏🏽. In New York, Baker's shoes were expensive lol, wow, back in the day unless you were getting a deal or Clarence. Your wife made it work and knew how to spend only $40 and come back with $60 that is amazing. I believe in saving and spending wisely. That is great. So happy for you and your marriage. 💯🙏🏼🙏🏽🙏🏽💯👑🙏🏽❤️❤️❤️❤️👑👑

    I've told my friends, who are Christians, to tell me if they see my husband or boyfriend out with someone else in a compromising position. Save me from possible disease and from someone who lacks integrity. I have friends who have said do not tell them. I'll just send pictures anonymously.

    Honestly, i have to question a Christian married man , who thinks its okay to look at half naked woman , and then precedes to answer her that he likes what he sees.
    Thats not a Godly nor wise way to live as a Christian man;
    From my experience, thats a person who's looking for trouble and doesn't mind finding it!!

    We have to be the person we want. If we want a Christ-like person who not just believes but lives it, we need to be Christ-like ourselves. I think we want to be with someone we’re not able to be ourselves. In reality we attract who we are.

      the Holy Spirit. Be led by the Holy Spirit to find a fellowship that is serious about the gospel. There's a difference between relationship and religion.
