I paid 26,400 for my 2011 Camaro SS back in 2011 on a Black Friday deal. It was the lowest priced SS in the United States 🇺🇸 if I might say too. I gave the dealer an offer he couldn’t refuse 😉 That was a great deal and they didn’t screw you. They wanted 10 over for the new vette and almost 20 over on the top vette model whatever their lettered, so I’m still loving my ss with only 60k on her. All I did was CAI and Borla atak catback and a tune for 93 octane and that’s all I need. I get almost 30mpg on the highway driving like a wuss. Thanks for your service bro and enjoy. PS oh your gonna love replacing those tires @10k cause their useless way before and your need those ultras on the 1Le
Just curious what does a set of new tires cost for the 1LE? Really considering placing an order if my local dealer still has allocations. Cheers and congrats on the new car! Also is 10k seriously all you get out of a set of these tires? Even without tracking it and driving like a jackass?
@@apesrus6084 thanks for the reply, also doesn’t help that you can’t rotate as the fronts and backs are different sizes (285 and 305 respectively). How many miles do you get per set of tires? And do the all seasons last a lot longer? I won’t be tracking mine so I’m not too worried about grip
@@mikeclay6089 A new set of (the stock) 285 and 305 Eagle F1 Supercar 3s will run about $1200-$1400 depending on where you get them. And haha 10k miles is a bit of an exaggeration but I’d say 15-20k would be a realistic expectation for the average driver that doesn’t burn out every other day. I’d really recommend putting the order in before it’s too late if you can lock in a good price man! These cars are amazing and they’ll be gone soon.
I ended up getting a brand new 21 Mustang GT prem pkg for right around the same price. I also reserved the car once I saw the dealer had it ordered and luckily like less than 2 weeks the car was delivered. I went with the black and my payments are just under yours, about $650 for the car and $150 for insurance with a clean driving record. I'm like you in terms of cars, I love Mustangs and Camaros and Dodges are powerful but I'm not a fan of the look either. Congrats on your awesome car brother and enjoy!!!
I'm 6'2". It's fine. I actually pulled the seat up a little to make sure I press the clutch in all the way. Plenty head room. I wish I had purchased before the pandemic. Now gas prices and car availability are maddening. I only drive 50 miles a week though.
I finally found one to sit in and yeah, there is plenty of headroom at 6'1". I was surprised when I hit the down switch and the seat just kept lowering. It was a convertible, and I think it has 1" more headroom than the coupe, but still loads of space. Don't know about a sun roof though.
I know you can drive well because you're not claiming "visibility issues." If folks have "visibility issues they need a bus pass, not a vehicle. Great video. Thank you for your service.
Nice come up bro!!! Very rare trim and spec for a Camaro!!! I’m 25, I owned a Magnum 6.1 SRT-8, Ram 1500 5.7 R/T, Charger 6.4 Scat Pack, and now currently a Challenger 6.2 Redeye. All used for weekends never had daily them just bc LA it’s ass city for driving. So enjoy this beast as much as you can when you get the chance this Muscle Car Era is coming to a end again sadly. Also if plan on owning it for a while and driving it hard be very up keep with maintenance bc if not you gonna learn the hard way.
Paid msrp for mine, 2022 1SS 1LE 47k and some change! Now I’m seeing others paying 44-45k for used 2016-2019 SS without 1LE With 10-40k miles SO lucky and blessed. Congrats on your beautiful ride, I have mine in summit white!

Those tires last about 15-20k miles depending how you drive, and I’m 6’1 I fit pretty good in it. Got the same exact car except it’s a 20 and manual. Awesoem car bro. Congrats
Mine Goodyear Eagles lasted one trip to Vegas and back (2000 miles total). Brand new 2SS and after the Vegas trip there was wires showing on the tires. Goodyear Eagle F1 are the WORST tires I've EVER had! Went to Pirelli P Zero tires which have lasted 30,000 miles and are a MILLION times better for driving in the rain in Oregon. Also, we were not heavy on the gas at all during the trip as the car was new and still being broken in. The tires just sucked that bad! 😒
@@geopioneergsxr5357 if you just got the car they we’re most likely Goodyear dealer tires I don’t know what they do, but every new car I’ve seen or owned that has has ate the tires off, and if you get a matching set of the same tire somewhere else it last way longer

Definitely pros and cons man, especially for the alcantera since it doesn’t feel too nice in the Texas heat and humidity as the 1SS doesn’t come with ventilated seats. Thank you brother 👍🏽

Yeah man it was less about the wait time (that’s understandable) and more about the fact that they told me it was en route and would be arriving the following week. They misled me in order to get me to give a down payment but it’s also my fault for not asking for details!
I’m flying to Austin Tx in the morning to pickup my 2022 1le. I was in the same situation you was in, everyone was either sold or marked up 2 to 3 grand over msrp. I got mine for sticker as well.

At 6ft 5, the camaros have plenty of room. My brother is 6ft 8 and thats pushing it but, after doing 10 hour trips in it, totally doable and very comfortable. Wearing a helmet was a little annoying but if youre really tall, you have to scotch down anyway
Trust me man, I’ve been waiting and waiting and waiting for my 1ss 1le. Now their telling me mid oct to beginning nov. I ordered the thing in February. I’ll be on deployment before I get the damn thing🙃
Why get the 1LE package if you aren't going to track race the car? Build a 2SS and add a few options like 10 spd trans, magnetic ride, dual mode exhaust, black center stripe and upgraded wheels like I did. My 2023 MSRP was $52,729, bought it for $43K plus tax, out the door price. It's a beautilful beast. (Ordered it Sept 29 and arrived Jan 12th)
My 2022 1 SS gets here next week took months for me to even get close to buy one but I got it for 41,000 msrp a day later I saw the same car selling for 57k on carvana crazy how you can get a new one for 16,000 dollars less
At 21 years of age paying 600 a month and 200 for insurance is really dumb. I waited till i was 25 to get my 2010 ss and at 29 got a 2017 1ss camaro. I pay 300 monthly and 140 insurance.
Paying sticker at this point of and the way the market is yea you did good. If anything refinance or when the market goes down get another maro for a better price. Congrats
Got a 21 in wild cherry but it’s a 6 speed same price the rev match is a cool feature and just got 20 thousand and needs tires found it in Ohio had to wait a month for it to get to Texas

Was looking into a 22 2SS 1LE and went into the dealership Saturday and they told me there was only 1 in the entire world and it was used. Couldn’t order it through factory Becasue they currently weren’t accepting orders so idk what to do now. I was thinking about just getting a Mach 1 Mustang at this point
I’m 99% sure they’re lying, these cars are rare but not that rare lol. And the Mach 1 is nice but will run at least $10,000 over the price of a 1SS 1LE not including dealer mark ups!
Good luck getting a Mach 1. I put my order in November 2021 for 2022 Mach 1. Order is still pending 6 months later….Mustang production has shutdown multiple times due to “chip shortages.”
I got done dirty recently with a dealer trade that a dealership drug their feet on maybe to make little more money off the top of the trade. I lost the car after 2 weeks of waiting for them to do the trade and have to take more time to find something else. I'm having to search TX right now for a V6 Redline Camaro. I found one and its been about a month of "in Transit" but I might end up pulling the trigger on something else before it gets here

Manufacture “recommends” 91+ octane aka they’re tuned for 91+ and performance/ engine life may be decreased with use of lower octane fuel. I’ve seen people get away with 87 just fine but I’ve also heard of rod knocks because of it, I guess it’s just luck of the draw.

A full tank runs about $65-$70 and on a good week of only driving to work, the gym, and home I can get by on one tank given I live close to both work and the gym I go to
They stole my 2010 ss out my driveway.They came 5 deep with ski mask and pushed it with car.I got the car back 4 days later with no engine or tranny.I had it 3 months and had to take a big loss.
Bruh from what I know mustangs are the low tier sports cars then faster ones would be the dodge chargers and challengers then faster one would be the corvette I believe the fastest affordable American car is the Camaro ss correct me if I’m wrong
Yeah man, recently the Camaro LT1 became the most affordable with the most power. I believe you can get a brand new LT1 with no options (lighter which makes it slightly faster) with the 6.2 that comes in the SS for around $35-$37,000.
Without putting any bias in to the decision, I’d say whatever is a better deal in the current market i.e mileage, price, condition of the car. If they’re fairly similar I’d say it all comes down to your personal preference man. Keep in mind that the 2017 Camaro is gonna be the pre-facelift 6th gen so it’ll look a bit “older” in a sense as opposed to the 2016 RT Scat that’s gonna look newer/ it looks closer to the current gen.
As for the height and weight, I’d definitely say Scat pack man haha. I’m 5’6’’ 165ish and I fit comfortably but struggle to get out of the car in tight parking spots due to the door thickness and length. IF comfort is a big factor for you.
Just watched Hot1LE’s video on the updated pricing GM put out for 2023 Camaros and it’s looking like that might just not be a bad move man. Looks like prices are going up $1-4000 depending on trim for MSRP.

Why get the 1LE package if you aren't going to track race the car? Build a 2SS and add a few options like 10 spd trans, magnetic ride, dual mode exhaust, black center stripe and upgraded wheels like I did. My 2023 MSRP was $52,729, bought it for $43K plus tax, out the door price. It's a beautilful beast. (Ordered it Sept 29 and arrived Jan 12th)

At 21 years of age paying 600 a month and 200 for insurance is really dumb. I waited till i was 25 to get my 2010 ss and at 29 got a 2017 1ss camaro. I pay 300 monthly and 140 insurance.

Was looking into a 22 2SS 1LE and went into the dealership Saturday and they told me there was only 1 in the entire world and it was used. Couldn’t order it through factory Becasue they currently weren’t accepting orders so idk what to do now. I was thinking about just getting a Mach 1 Mustang at this point
I’m 99% sure they’re lying, these cars are rare but not that rare lol. And the Mach 1 is nice but will run at least $10,000 over the price of a 1SS 1LE not including dealer mark ups!
Good luck getting a Mach 1. I put my order in November 2021 for 2022 Mach 1. Order is still pending 6 months later….Mustang production has shutdown multiple times due to “chip shortages.”

I got done dirty recently with a dealer trade that a dealership drug their feet on maybe to make little more money off the top of the trade. I lost the car after 2 weeks of waiting for them to do the trade and have to take more time to find something else. I'm having to search TX right now for a V6 Redline Camaro. I found one and its been about a month of "in Transit" but I might end up pulling the trigger on something else before it gets here

Do the SS trims with LT1 require premium or 91 octane gas or can you get away with 87 octane?
Manufacture “recommends” 91+ octane aka they’re tuned for 91+ and performance/ engine life may be decreased with use of lower octane fuel. I’ve seen people get away with 87 just fine but I’ve also heard of rod knocks because of it, I guess it’s just luck of the draw.

A full tank runs about $65-$70 and on a good week of only driving to work, the gym, and home I can get by on one tank given I live close to both work and the gym I go to

Yeah man, recently the Camaro LT1 became the most affordable with the most power. I believe you can get a brand new LT1 with no options (lighter which makes it slightly faster) with the 6.2 that comes in the SS for around $35-$37,000.

Without putting any bias in to the decision, I’d say whatever is a better deal in the current market i.e mileage, price, condition of the car. If they’re fairly similar I’d say it all comes down to your personal preference man. Keep in mind that the 2017 Camaro is gonna be the pre-facelift 6th gen so it’ll look a bit “older” in a sense as opposed to the 2016 RT Scat that’s gonna look newer/ it looks closer to the current gen.

As for the height and weight, I’d definitely say Scat pack man haha. I’m 5’6’’ 165ish and I fit comfortably but struggle to get out of the car in tight parking spots due to the door thickness and length. IF comfort is a big factor for you.
