Beautiful. So sad to think that this wonderfully talented composer took his own life due to being so infatuated, class wars & a complicated love affair. I also think it's ironic that his version of the Trumpet Voluntary Overture is one of the most played pieces at weddings & was the most popular choice at most weddings I sang for as a chorister when I was younger. So sad he never got to have the wedding he so longed for.

This ode is so well composed - as if it was written by Persl. Beautiful voices, thank you "E.V ". Jeremiah Clarke (1674 -1707) was one of the pupils of John Blow. Best known for his Trumpet Voluntary, a popular piece often played at wedding ceremonies or commencement ceremonies.

boeiende muziek en mooie stemmen, dank je.
dit herderinnetje/herdertje met prachtige rode krullen is nog boeiender dan de muziek. !
Ik begrijp het probleem van de Painter, en ook zijn ' oplossing' :)
there is much, much to read about this painter who was Dutch and born in Soest and his father was born in den Haag
