At the 2:18 mark, Abby Steiner says, "... comparison is the thief of joy." She tries not to follow other 200 meter racers too closely on social media. Smart girl.
Lots of terrible people trashing her online, or making baiting comments, so yeah, best to avoid that stuff.
Yes her coaches need to ask her to avoid socials, at least until after season or some breaks, it can be brutal.
@@aredditor4272are people.are tired of the hype and.want to see great times and not cherry picked races to make.her.look good
@@HEAVYCHEVY409 She ran under 22 a couple of times last year.I don't think you care judging by your stupid comment. She won the race didn't she?
@@HEAVYCHEVY409 June 28, 2023 The same can be said for ShaCarri Richardson. She has been cherry picking races that she runs to make herself look good. Making sure she would go up against women that she knows she could win against. She backed out of the LA Grand Prix race as to not go up against Ta Lou and Hobbs. In the end they too backed out. The same can not be said about Abby because she has not run that many races this season and she has not won all her races as ShaCarri has.
Abby is a great ambassador for the sport. She is going to be an inspiration for years to come to little kids across the United States
I agree. A lot of girls are going to start focusing on track and particularly sprinting, and hurdles.
😅
@@hollyharvey1986they weren't when all the great black women sprinters were breaking records ? How come ?
@@ThaSpeedsterZ who said anything about color. I said girls. Go on with that ignorance.
@@ThaSpeedsterZ and I been here watching since I was a young one so nice try. It obviously rubs you the wrong way that people are even commenting about Abby. And now you trying to say “well, what about when …blah blah blah”. Can’t hear none of that race baiting bs you trying bc I love to see people of all ethnicities do great in life, especially since I was an athlete myself.
She is in good happy spirits I hope she has a wonderful life with a very happy ending ❤❤❤❤
GO GO ABBY STEINER 👍😀
A smart girl, candid in her interviews. No clichés, but very down-to-earth. I hope the planning she and her coach, Tim Hall, have put in place to reach her peak in July-August produces the desired results.
Abby Steiner ~
"Comparison is the thief of joy."
That can be said for so many things.
Such a smart woman.
What makes her smart?
@@dmvbay2535articulate and well thought out answers to questions. Isn't it obvious?
@@PoliticalMastermind0 she sound like every other runner

Abby is just an outstanding person. humble in her words and all.a true woman and a fabulous athlete 💯
I am so smitten by this amazingly beautiful woman. GO ABBY! Praise GOD!
Very inspirational lady... something for future generations to look up to
I think if she was willing to run a little further she could’ve made that turn on her stomachs.
@@kmruhgrdsvrojh she's hotter than a death-valley side-winder on a desert rock son... & you can take that shit to the bank...er? i mean... you can bet your last coin on that one sonny-boy... you good-sir... just said a moutful. she is a something to contend with for sure... what a doll.
What a beautiful athlete
i don't have twitter but i just followed her on instagram i meant to say.... what a doll god bless her
Beautiful ❤️
You know I’m here for my Girl Abby Steiner ❤️🤍💙
Good to see there's a person behind the athlete; sounds like a fine woman
She seems like a real sweetheart. Well spoken, well grounded. She doesn't appear to let the media hype get in her head.
Abby is very humble and well spoken. She will represent the sport as an example of how to perform on and off the track. Go Steiner!
Pretty sure Mu and Sydney already do.that plus, that are Olympic and Worlds individual gold medalist.
Love how she's progressed!, There's an Oregon high sch
She's a beautiful woman I believe she's in good shape, a great athlete ready for competition congratulations🎉
Future author -- she's very well composed and thoughtful
Winning time should have been included in the thumbnail
Wasn’t it 22.19 or was it 22.17?
:22.19 Currently, 3 USA ladies have run faster.
@@thomasfair9707 well I’m sure Abby is gearing up and will peak at her best just in time. ❤️
her eyes and speech
She’s getting a new coach?!!!
No, she doesn't getting a new coach. Her coach, Tim Hall, who was the assistant head coach at Kentucky, has been promoted and officially named head coach of the South Carolina track and cross-country team. She is very happy for him and will follow him to his new training center next year.
Who else is in her training group apart from Christian Coleman?
Abby will peak at World Championships...plan the work, work the plan.😊
🤣🤣🤣
This aged horribly lol
Oregon high school girl could be fastest ever in a few years..
What’s her name?
What's this guys?? Abby Steiner?? Oh my gosh how could any of us forget? Er? i mean? this epic track and field sprinter i meant to say.... if my memory doesn't serve me poorly, she is the U.S. indoor record holder in the 200 m and 300 m, but don't quote me on all the devil in the details son... i mean? i am pretty confident in saying she is the NCAA record holder in the 200 m. i meant to say...What a doll god-bless her. All-Amercian Grade-A Running Machine doll-face... & you can take that to the bank sonny-boy
She has two World golds, and was top five in Worlds in 200 meter after RECORD BREAKING COLLEGE SEASON
@@hollyharvey1986
And the only collegian last year to medal in the 60, 100 and 200...plus the indoor 2, 4x1, 4x4.....sheeyit
@@hollyharvey1986 she has to pitty medals, she didn't earn by her speed but by politics. Go look up times, open times. You forgot when she didn't do.good in 100m at NCAA and drop out of 100m at invitationals? But yet, she was on the 4x1 even though she didn't have a top 4 speed. Then there's the case of her not running a open 400m so nobody knows her actual time that year, mean while woman who had been consistent with good times didn't make it smh yeah, I'm pretty sure some better athletes got screwed over and some coach got a kick back from some sponsor
Last year means nothing Alfred handle that, and indoor means nothing because 90% of pros don't run indoors. Last 300m what does that mean? Yall out here given participation trophies smh lol when has that ever been important, when was it ever ran at worlds, Olympics or heck even a diamond league event..... never smh lol
@@HEAVYCHEVY409 you just said a mouthful son... i thank you kindly for your point of view... er? i mean... good food for thought i meant to say. Thank you ol-buddy
Abby should enrich her life and marry me.
You cut her off
White queen W
Love Abby and any other white person trying to break into track and field. It’s a deeply segregated field that needs to be broken
Europeans usually have good sprinters
I wish they'd let her catch her breath and let her body wind down, as it can't be a healthy thing to have the brain deal with a bunch of things while the lungs and heart are stressed doing things unrelated and out of sync with the unnecessary chit-chat physiologically, if that makes any sense.🤔
July 26, 2023
She can't handle gabby thomas, much less she can't handle shericka jackson, abby hasn't progressed, she looks stagnant..
Greatest NCAA 200m runner ever......
And a pro rookie.
Chill bro. The season isn't over.
@@efisgpr Alfred better, she had cherry picked races and only ran against 2 ladies in the top 20 of 200m. One was ta Lou who she beat by photo finish and 2 was gabby who blew her back out. Oh yeah, July 14, 2023 her rookie campaign is over.
@HEAVYCHEVY409 say gabby blew her back out 😂😂😂 that line was so funny
@@HEAVYCHEVY409she just raced against Pandini and won. I guess that ain't much but give her a little time. Sha'cari went thru the same thing with media watching her every move and arrogance was heavy, looks like she is coming back strong. Abbie (as far as I know) can't control what media shows or doesn't show of her. They could be setting her up for the big failure cuz thats how media works.
