Fallout 4 how to make a rapid fire missile launcher shotgun (insane glitched weapon)

- a guide on how to make the most powerful glitched weapon in fallout 4.
Written guide:
Step 1: get a missile launcher, combat shotgun and a submachine gun.
Step 2: rename the smg to 0 and the combat shotgun to 1.
Step 3: craft a powerful reciever for the smg and then switch back to standard reciever
Step 4: fully mod the combat shotgun with the best possible mods
Step 5: press scrap and modify at the same time on the smg you should now have a glitched screen where the game wants to scrap and modify at the same time
Step 6: press enter to scrap the smg you should now be able to mod the combat shotgun with a powerful smg reciever
Step 7: rename the missile launcher to 0 and make shore the glitched shotgun is still named 1
Step 8: equip the targeting computer to the missile launcher then unequip it
Step 9: press scrap and modify at the same time on the missile launcher and immediantly flick your mouse to where the glitched shotgun is located 1 space down (this may take a few tries to get the timing right)
Step 10: if you timed this correctly you should be on the glitched screen and your mouse should be hovering over and highlighting the targeting computer slot of the missile launcher
Step 11: press enter to scrap the missile launcher if you did the previous steps correctly you should be able to equip the targeting computer on the barrel slot of the rapid fire shotgun
Step 11: rename the rapid fire missile shotgun to whatever you like and have fun with this insane weapon.
Fun fact this shotgun fires 8 missiles at once and has a 32 round drum mag which means it fires 256 missiles in 1 mag dump!

Do you know if this would work with the "barbed harpoons" mod for the harpoon launcher to apply bleed like 8 times per shot instead of rockets? Rockets aren't great honestly because you cant use it in close quarters.

Confirmed this still works as of 5/16/24 on PC. I was getting stuck at the step at 1:49 and mistakenly moving my mouse down to "Standard Sights" and not seeing the targeting computer. You have to leave it exactly where it is on "Long Ported and Shielded Barrel", don't move it at all, and click E to modify. On the 'glitched' missile launcher you just scrapped, that's where the sights menu is. Confusing but it definitely works! :D Thank you for this walk through!
Took me 30 mins but boy was it worth it. Kudos to you good sir
There is a way easier way to attach the sight (or any modification really) without needing to move the mouse at the right time. You just need to equip the weapon that is at the same slot as the modification that you want to attach and hover with the mouse over the square (equipped sign) of that weapon, then use the up button to select you sacrificial weapon. Once you pressed and released the scrap and modify button, it should automatically jump to the modification slot where the mouse is.
Reminds me of the ammon glitch in 76 where you can swap a weapon that usually has 1 projectile loaded in the chamber at once with something like a minigun so you can get a missle launcher with 500 missles loaded at once.
Also when typing console commands if there are some zeros in front of the id then you don't have to type them.
Can confirm it still works on consoles (PS4) v1.0 I found pulling the joystick just as you let go of both bottens with the mod on the sight hit scrape then without touching anything you should be on the long ported and shielded barrel press modify and attach the targeting computer

Type 'tai' in the console after you spawn stuff to turn their ai off. You can then move to a safe distance, and use 'tai' to toggle ai back on.
who needs creation club weapons when you can make your own one
Another tip for console: with the up and down key you can cycle through previous commands if you want to repeat them or change them. Fun video.

A tip for making this on console, is to use the joy stick for the difficult part (when he slides to the sights). I had trouble using my buttons for it but did it first try with the stick on ps5.
How do you switch from the barrel to the sights on ps5?
@@l_TheJester_I@l_TheJester_I You just have to push down on the left thumbstick correctly once you've pressed square and X together. If you do it too soon it'll move down to "1", if you do it too slow it'll stay on the top row or scrap the missile launcher completely, once it's scrapped on the second row like in the vid select the long ported and shielded barrel (don't move up or down or you'll lose it!) and the option for the targeting computer will be there. It's an utterly ridiculous weapon 🤣
Hey, for your next trick, can you combine the fatman into Aeturnus? Basically a laser minigun with unlimited ammo but the laser beams trigger a mininuke blast on whatever it hits.

Works on PS4. For the missile launcher step. Push the analog stick down right after you press scrap&modify. The timing is really difficult

Considering Fallout universe, someone probably experimented with basically the same idea.
tip: when usin refids or object ids in console dont bother typing the 0s at the beginning of the number, just type the letters and numbers saves you a few keystrokes

I've managed to get the mods all on there, but the targeting computer is non functional and the gun is just a rapid fire shotgun, no missiles
This can only be done on pc so console players don't waste an hour of your life trying like I did

Haha I got a chime Gernade launcher .45 pipe rifle hmu for pics. Basically it’s a pipe rifle model with a ballistic shield and shoots nades with gernande receiver or .45 w that receiver. Does 200 dmg with .45 tho hmu for pics

Ive done this successfully on PS5 but I'm gonna find a dual shot combat shotgun so it shoots out 16 missiles at once. Either that or a explosive one.. hmm decisions decisions.

My latest glitch gun is a piggy bomb auto 10mm pistol, still uses piggies as ammo but that's easily sorted by doing the ammo duplication glitch 😂

Wanna know a truly crazy gun? Lorenzo's Artifact Minigun. It became my main weapon in my old fallout 4 playthrough.
Made it portative with the alien rifle, does insane energy damage 😂

You can do this glitch with a mini gun and a mirv Fatman box mod
I couldn't get the targeting computer to work, but I fitted the submachineshotgun with a quad barrel. lol.
Follow up, its awful and does nothing more other than totally obscure your sights, back to the targeting computer

@@wonkygustav4457 update: i gave nick valentine the glitched missile shotgun and he locks on to enemies with it and instantly kills anything with it just don't agro him by shooting up diamond city because when i did that he ragdolled my character 100 feet into the air.

Try it with a never ending legendary
before spawning type " tai" ( toggle a.i.) then spawn enemies , move where you want then
tai again ( don't have anything selected for a.i. command to work )

yes it just requires much better timing with a controller as you have to pull down on the left stick immediantly after pressing scrap and modify. on the ps4 version which is basicly the same as xbox i spent around 30 minutes trying until i got the timing right.
@@calkestis-ov5wi yes, but I found a way around that. Rename the submachine gun number one and the combat shotgun zero. So that way when you automatically press on Xbox scrap and modify plus the down stick it will automatically delete number one which is the submachine gun and you can add it to 0 which is the shotgun. Works out a little better
It works on PS4 ! But it literally took me 30 minutes to get the timing right. The timing is the hardest part. Keep trying

Is there a tipp for PS5? I always only can apply the barrel from the launcher on the shotgun. Never the aiming computer..
Ive avoided the update. Just got a sub machine gun receiver on a 308 bolt action rifle. recoil is pretty bad. Also firing is chaotic. Sometimes 3 rounds, sometimes all after getting off the trigger. Scopes are useless. Love it.

While typing codes you don't need to type first zeroes like 0001234 can be shortened to 1234, only if its from a DLC or Mod like codes with XX001234 you have to keep the zeroes

When you get to the glitched screen to scrap the missile launcher and you scrap it, what are you selecting next because I've follow you steps perfectly but it isn't working
first of all you have to equip and unequip the targeting computer to the missile launcher then you have to scrap the missile launcher and very quickly flick the mouse to 1 (the shotgun) after you do that immediantly go into the barrel slot of the shotgun and equip the targeting computer. if you are on console with a controller it is a lot harder and can take up to 30 minutes to get the timing right. if you still can't do it check your mods because i believe the unoficial patch fixes this exploit.

Using this glitch, in the little time i had to play the game i also made a 10 round burst hunting rifle with an extended mag by using an assault rifle automatic reciever. It also has the incendiary legendary effect

This demonstrates perfectly why you never combine high firing with explosives. You simply can't use them in close proximity.
The best weapon is a Tesla rifle with arcing electric bolts, plus unlimited ammo. You will not have to reload, you can fire it in the closest proximity as the arc doesn't jump back to you. The only thing you have to be aware of are companions, or quest companions in need of protection. In that case the bolt also arcs to any NPCs that you have to protect.
i mean its not a good explosive weapon if you cant kill urself by accident with it
