Starmer says he is ready to step up and change Britain.

Any party that comes to power after this shambolic governments wrecking of the economy are in for a huge shock. If Labour does win they are going to find that they have inherited huge debts and a list of things that need to be done and that will take over 20years to achieve.
That just sounds like what the conservatives inherited from Labour when they took power many years ago. Labour even left a note saying the coffers were empty! And they didn't have to pay out huge amounts for the consequences of covid.
Labour will be worse look what Blair and brown left the economy
The debt is not the issue. It is lower than it was after world war two. It is arbitrary anyway. There is no debt in reality. Governments can borrow at lower interest rates to invest but due to its commitment to Thatcherism, including austerity, Labour will not borrow to invest in infrastructure.
All politicians are in the big banks central banks and big businesses inflation isn't coming down as the clowns are saying Kevin needs to be replaced by someone who knows what they are taking about

Jeremy is not just playing devil’s advocate. He’s a terrible host. Absolutely awful. Leaving the EU has F’d us in the ass and these idiots that say it has been a positive never actually say why.
The big question I ask, bearing in mind there wasn't a single positive macroeconomic impact assessment for Brexit, if there's no negatives to raising trade barriers with your largest trade partners then what are the upsides to lowering trade barriers with other smaller economies on the other side of the world? And if it is about "sovereignty" then why don't they support an Independent Scotland? .....

I really miss Matthew Wright, the show seems like it has far too many gimmicks now.
Also, the whole show feels like it leans more in one direction than trying to be center ground promoting an actual debate, I now watch the odd clip on here, but no longer watch the TV show in full.

Be fair Jeremy does a really good job challenging both sides and not taking a solid position. Don't know about gimmicks but the show is interesting with him. Don't know which parts are gimmicks tbf as stuff spoken about is detailed

It's all going over to boards, flash cards, and images used when not needed, that kind of thing, it feels like he goes for more flashy than substance.
Doing it now and again creates a good impact, but it feels more constant now.
The six steps needed: (1) Start reversing Brexit (at least rejoining the single market, with freedom of movement to help healthcare/agriculture, etc.). (2) Introduce a form of PR, and a democratically elected second chamber. (3) Affordable house building on a scale not seen since the end of WWII (and rent caps - we need the rents that the EU nations enjoy). (4) End dependence on oil/gas (we have 100% capability to be totally renewable energy-wise). (5) Introduce a wealth tax and radically reduce the gap between haves and have nots. (6) Process asylum seekers in Calais, and give safe passage to successful applicants - get them to work in sectors that Brits can't be arsed to. If only Starmer had the guts ...
People need understand that this election is a selection process it doesn't matter who sits in no 10 they are all in the pockets of the big banks central banks and big businesses

100%. Your point (5) is the Achilles heel of Farage/Tice/Habib who are in it to maintain/increase their wealth.
Renationalise water, rail and fuel. Introduce a national (localised) credit union scheme/network. Introduce a finance and educational training scheme to encourage co-ops. Overhaul elderly care and childcare.
Socialism at its worst - suggest you go and live in Korea and the like. We need to lurch away from such a destructive course - hence needing Reform to give our society and economy a much-needed boost.

Lowest child poverty since the war. Lowest homeless numbers since the 80s. Highest living standards since the war.
