Holy hell Mikey!! You are the epitome of a fishing purist by taking your yak so far. I’m in North LA county with a 26 Skipjack on a trailer. I’ve launched out of Shelter Island a few times. Next time I do and if I see you launching your yak, you’re gonna be riding/fishing on my boat. Mad props and much respect to you, I’m surprised that others that are local haven’t offered the same.

Not sure what your battery situation is but I switched my float tube fish finder battery to a lithium battery and it lasts 4x longer and it's much lighter.
