What a boat!!!! Beauty 👌. Stunner of a tag and release Kingish! That boat though... what a design... that is very well thought out! Chur to the brothers for getting out there and putting some great content together for the brothers and the sisters out here to watch. I grew up in those neck of the woods and now live in the bottom of the south island, I've taken my Mrs up to the old stomping ground once and she is enjoying watching these as much as I am. Thanks for putting such great content together. We are really enjoying watching the build of Milans Mansion too 🤙
@TheLateralLine it's no where near as explosive down here, find a spot of cod and just pull them on board. Although the mighty Kahawai on the light gear at river mouths in summer is as good as it is anywhere, plus the bonus of sea run trout and salmon amongst them makes for some cool side catch.
@TheLateralLine haha I'll swap you some cod and bluff oysters for some kingi and snapper! I'm heading back to Tauranga for a week soon and you've got me fully motivated to make a day out on a rod happen somehow!

Open the cover on that garage door controller and the small plug that goes into the up and down buttons can be flipped 180°. No more down button to lift the door

Hamish’s boat is a mean fishing platform 😎 we are big fans of the Daiwa 4000 Certate, PE2 braid (28lb) and 25lb trace but you could a lot lighter of course 👍 chur chur 😁
There will be plenty of fish caught on NACL lures brother 😎 that fish will probably be the only king caught on a live bait on Hamish’s boat 😂 chur chur for watching and commenting 😁
We fight kings in those scenarios (shallow water over foul ground) with as much drag as you can physically hold! And do your absolute best not to lose any line or chances are your gonna get dusted. But, We have never really tested it? The 18,000 and 20,000 Saltigas boast a 30kg drag system and the drags are wound down as much as they will go at times but I’m not sure what that really equates to? Meaning could you lift 30kgs of weight off the flood with a rod and reel? Thanks heaps for watching and commenting 😁

We fight kings in those scenarios (shallow water over foul ground) with as much drag as you can physically hold! And do your absolute best not to lose any line or chances are your gonna get dusted. But, We have never really tested it? The 18,000 and 20,000 Saltigas boast a 30kg drag system and the drags are wound down as much as they will go at times but I’m not sure what that really equates to? Meaning could you lift 30kgs of weight off the flood with a rod and reel? Thanks heaps for watching and commenting 😁
