The best way I see to develop players is by getting them some playing time when possible. I'm not taking about trash time against the cupcakes on your schedule. To develope they need to feel the real heat and see what they have to be ready for.
We’ll find out this year! If Jackson Arnold is the same as last year it will be obvious that the QB is not getting developed. I hope he’s a lot better!
I don’t see Lew going to the NFL after next season. Like Zac pointed out he could most likely make more money staying at Auburn or, God forbid, the transfer portal.
Development is a thing but teams who recruit top 150 guys don’t have to do a lot of development but just have to let the players get in a college weight program and get in game experience behind top future nfl guys. Auburn hasn’t had top future nfl guys so these guys are having to learn on the fly with lil to know one to watch on the field. A coach css as n tell a player this and that but most ball players learn by watching others preform and rep same actions and mechanics themselves.
Name me an NCAA center who went to the draft after his 3rd year. I'll be waiting. And devil's advocate, Nose Tackles don't usually pressure the QB. He needs to stay his 4 years. Ellis needs to play his 4 games and redshirt. Which QB, LB, O-lineman, TE, safety has been developed so far?
Zac, I think you may be comparing apples to oranges here. Connor Lew and Keldrick Faulk are on the edge of being freaks of nature. They're the rare combination of ability, knowledge, drive, and determination. Plus, they have the 'it' factor. My point is that there wasn't a whole lot to do in terms of "developing" them. They both came pre-developed. Most everyone else is on a level that's not quite as high. So, chill out with the outrage. If Walker says he wasn't being developed, he wasn't being developed. WDE!
Walker has already addressed ALL of this. He’s already said it wasn’t a shot a Hugh. He was asked about everything that excites him about Baylor and that’s one of the things he listed. My God all the people like you that think Hugh suddenly forgot how to coach need to go back under a rock. I suppose since Kirby didn’t make it to the dance he can no longer coach either right?
Why can’t Auburn land any big guys on the line? We get plenty of 4 star receivers and DB but no big guys. Always piecing something together in portal. Are the priorities not there?
Good point, and good show today. Connor deserved to be recognized for his play on the field. Best we've had in at least ten years from the center.
Great job

I just hope they play with enthusiasm and play hard! If Freeze can't win a bunch of games this year, he won't be around in '26.
Starting OL X. Chaplain, D. Wade, Lew, Jeremiah Wright, Zavion Miller or Mason Murphy?

It seems that we should have a high performing QB just by the law of averages. But we haven’t
Too tall not coming back??

Did he say, “I wasn’t being developed.”? Or did he say, “I’m excited about the QB development plan at Baylor.”?
Baylor needs fans
@@autk 😂😂😂
White left because he was scared he couldn’t win the job, plain and simple!

QB 's are not being developed
Lazy take. Better do your homework.

We have, where you been?
I thought this was a bot. Our ‘25 dline class is crazy. Get caught up.
Someone obviously doesn’t pay attention.
You can still delete this
@ then why every time portal opens the needs are always offensive defensive lines and linebackers?
@RichardC-so7ob if your asking these kind of questions you clearly don't comprehend or keep up one or the other.
