I attended the christening of CV-67 in 1967 while serving in the USN at D&S Piers. Like Caroline, I never thought I'd witness the second christening albeit via TH-cam. Smooth sailing, crew and air arm!
I remember watching CV-67 John F Kennedy being cristened on tv with my dad. I've boarded that magnificent ship 3 times when it sailed into New York for Fleet Week. I hope some day that CVN-79 can visit New York. But for now, make us proud JFK. May God bless and protect you and those who sail within you.
My dad served on *USS Enterprise CVA(N)-65* in Vietnam 1965-1969. He's not in the greatest of health but his dream is to be there for the christening ceremony for *CVN-80* God willing! 🫡🇺🇸
No better choice for this awe inspiring ship than to be named after President Kennedy. I only wished that I could have been among the thousands who worked on her. What pride there must be knowing that one participated in such a grand structure symbolizing, not just a nation's might, but her ability to project the will of the American people in world affairs.
I’m going to Great Lakes in September I hope when I get to the fleet I’m stationed aboard a aircraft carrier, my father served on the oriskany and his notable deployment during the Korean War was aboard the Leyte
I served aboard the USS Oriskany too During the Vietnam war. To pretty much assure yourself that you will be on a carrier pick an aviation rate A school. That’s what I did I went to Boot Camp at great lakes and I wound up on a carrier.
There will never be a USS Biden. The ship would constantly be lost, then make port in China so the CCP could pour over it to get more information about our gear.
My son in law will be on the crew for this ship. A very proud moment for me
I served two years aboard CV 67 this christening brings tears to my eyes. GO NAVY
@Zfast4you hell yeah....travel to far away exotic places and meet new people.....then kill all of them? Is that what your trying say dumbass?
@@suasponte8363 What are the flags on USS John F. kennedy cvn-79 that resemble the flag of the netherlands?
@Zfast4you To keep order and preventing dangerous things from occuring you dumbass gtfo
@Sua Sponte isn't that what a navy does? Like Japan in pearl harbor? Idiot

Caroline Bouvier Kennedy Schlossberg
27 November 1957 - 27 November 2021
Did you notice they cut out the part when Caroline missed.
The ship is cursed.
That was a reference to the previous John F Kennedy’s christening, when the bottle needed to hits to break.
Nice ! 🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊

Except they didn't show the fact that the bottle didn't break on the initial strike. The ship is cursed.
Didn’t break on the first strike on the previous JFK, I think it might have cancelled out the Kennedy curse.
Puddle jumpers get all the good stuff.. All the Airborne gets is 280lb out the door..😅
Do you think a US naval vessel will ever be named after 45? 🤪
U.S.S Trump.
Or 46? OR 44😵💫

They all look freezing.
Why is that Swamp monster John Kerry there? A foul stench for such a glorious day. How sad. But let that not hold back the true spirit of the moment.
