Nice but in every region, there’s a different pronunciation. I keep hearing this souns as a hard YY most of the time. Close the the german ch sound as in “ich”. In Romanesco, all gl sounds are j, pronounced double like jj. Fijo, moje, famija and there is no “L” sound involved. That’s one of the main challanges in Italian language. There’s a standard version that is taught to strangers but there’s no Italian speaking that standard language.
Ambra, nella parola ``gli``, la ``i`` è oviamente pronunciata. La ``i`` è pronunciata o non nelle parole come ``figlio``, ``famiglia``, ``voglia``, ``aglio``, ``foglia``, etc.? Thank you for all your videos.
I would like to say that gli is pronounced as a stronger y sound with an i or English equivalent double e, for example yee. There should not be any l sound normally, especially gli by itself. It doesn't sound as correct. Within a word, especially with other vowels after, perhaps.
This was so helpful, thank you!!
Glad you liked it 😊
found this really helpful! i got it down before the 6 minutes were up! thank you
Thanks Amber :) I'm really glad it helped!
Nice teaching
Perfect, thanks. Exactly what I needed.
Great to hear!
I can say gli when its inside bigger words. But I find it so hard to say alone or in negli
Very clear!
Thanks! 😊
Grazie!
You are so accurate!
Thanks so much for watching 😊

I’m learning Italian on Babbel and at my age, the closest sound I make for GLI is the English “Y”.

@@AmbraConnexita Ambra, grazie per la tua risposta cosi presta. Ancora non so come si pronuncia la doppia R. E forte e lunga?
