There's something so cool that a lot of modders add completely unneeded animations of the player eating and drinking. It's super immersive and I appreciate it.
True that, even simple mods such as a sitting anywhere mod add so much to the game. You can just soak up the scenery while listening to fly me to the moon on the radio 📻 ( I use custom radio songs mod)
Honestly, as someones who’s always looking for the perfect game to do a narrated playthrough, I think New Vegas might be a good one to start and those little things will help so much when editing!!
NV is my favorite game of all time for various reasons but I haven't modded it for a couple of years now. It fills me with joy to see the scene still going so strong for such an old game.
LAEC (Laser assisted electrical cannon) = LAER (Laser assisted electrical rifle) Possible Big MT connection? Now that's a headcanon I can hold onto! Always nice to see a new weapon mod.
@@LostMyPowerArmor I put a comment on their page. I don't have any other mods affecting NPC animations. Luckily I only had to get into the monorail once
Firstly do you have 4gb patcher, without it your game crashes like crazy. Also I use new Vegas anti crash but a lot of people say it outdated. I never experienced any problems with it though.
Is there a New Vegas equivalent of the Morrowind Modding Community Discord? I found an XNVSE one but is there no general modding one with all the modders in it?
This month has been stacked. Too bad I gave up on it. Ah,well,at least i tried TTW and got the hang of MO2. I'm not playing too much these days as studies are my top priority.
Keep at your studies mate, for me video making keeps me away from thinking about my college and studies. I don't really enjoy the subject and I will change my course once I get the degree.
Fallout is not that kind of game. I’d say rockstar attention to detail would do fallout really good. Yet fallout is an rpg and rockstar isn’t known for their rpgs. Bethesda sucks at it too though. The perfect fallout would have cyberpunk like combat the rockstar quality and the rpg elements and narrative choices of larian studio.
One day we'll get good side quest mods to flesh out NV... But not today it looks. Look I get that NV graphics and animations are, outdated to say the least, and the ones shows in video are great(I might even download the consumables animation ones) but its dissapointing how most mods seem to only focus on graphics, animations and when we DID get grandiouse quest content, New California and Frontiers, they were... lackluster to say the least ;( Idk man is it THAT hard to just flesh out Legion, Powder Gangers, Khans, Primm and some other small places? We dont need much tbh and theyr respective locations have tons of empty space that can be filled by new characters with quests or even companions Edit: Almost forgot. But after all 4 dlc were released, Vanilla NV felt surprisingly not that strong, wish we had more end game esque locations with tough enemies, I mean its so easy to take out cottonwood cove or even McCarran, wish they scaled with your lvl.
It is true that fnv has far less quest mods or new land mods compared to something like skyrim, I played a total of 270 hours in Skyrim and almost 200 hours out of them were spent in modded locations like wyrmstooth or falskar. With that being said it is pretty hard make a quest or new lands mods and the fnv modding community is just not that big to produce those type of mods in a regular basis. I hope we see a new lands mods soon though. I really enjoy new lands mods.
There are some good quest mods that (imo) broaden the scope of game whilst still maintaining that vanilla/lore friendly feel it has, ie: Into the Deep, Race to the Bottom, Tales of New Reno series, Havasu Blues, etc.
@@LostMyPowerArmoryou should check out Nova Arizona on the Nexus. It's right up your alley if you want a large and ambitious Vanilla friendly new lands mod. Adds content to the entire Arizona side of the Mojave
You could still use DLC-Sized Mods like Zion Valley or go with the Bounties series as they are being remastered under the "LE" label by a team of people with Someguy2000's approval. The3Overseer also has good quest mods; it really depends on what you're looking for.
I dont think we'll ever get a mod that fleshes out the legion or other "evil" questlines in today's social climate. after the witchhunt that took place after The Frontier and New California releases I think it'll be a while before we get a huge New Vegas project like that, if at all, since most large projects try to either be a new game or an expansion to fnv. New California didnt even do anything overtly wrong like Frontier did but it got picked apart all the same. The result of this being the modding community being demoralized and scattering. Thats why we dont ever get modding teams or giant projects like skyrim does, We basically bully those people off of the internet any time they do make an expansion mod. Making a fleshed out legion questline would be wasting hundreds of man hours for something that at worst can get you cancelled and banned from nexus and the modding community with today's politics and at best will be remembered as something that has "bad wiritng and not in the spirit of New Vegas and ulitmately a waste of talent." because people take the lore too seriously to enjoy anything like that. It's doomed to fail, and personally I wouldnt want to work on a mod thay will almost have a 100% poor reception no matter how well I actually do. Personally I think fallout fans are too picky and basically every big mod is doomed to fail because of this. Mark my words, it wont matter how good Fallout London actually is; as a multi-year long modding project its going to be hyped to a level of unrealistic and unattainable expectations and meticulously compared to new vegas, and it will inevitably just be remembered as another "large mod that was technically impressive, but not fallout" tl;dr Any project of that scale is doomed to fail due to unrealistically high standards/hype and people might even try to cancel you "for supporting a fascist faction" and it would start some dumb debate online about "media literacy" like Helldivers. People just take fallout to seriously for that to ever exist
Ive never played fallout new Vegas, I am looking for the best mods that actually work and are not outdated, lots of the most popular on nexus are broken. Please if someone can give me a list of the best mods to make my experience better that would be amazing. As in graphics and must haves. Dont need the small weapon mods nothing like that.
You want to have an idea of what you want first, modded weapons, animations, vanilla+, something like that. You need the 4gb patch and script extender for sure, and anything else any mods you want tell you to. Start with overhauls and textures, end with enb shaders.
