Hey all! Provided the necessary links to all of the projects so that evveryone can follow their progress as they're being worked on! Leave a comment down below for which mod (or mods) you're the most excited for! I'd love to see what you guys think!
@@cellblockpsycho5819 can confirm-- watching this had my eyes shoot open like "wait what-- i thought we changed a *lot* of this"; there will be a new teaser soon so even more to look forward to
I'd love to see a big mod that expands on the Sierra Madre secret ending, imagine how cool it would be to explore the misted wasteland and fight Elijah and the Courier at Helios One, maybe even siding with the Brotherhood to help them since everyone else would be likely dead
I really, really, LOVE the Reno Series you made man, it's strange to see a big mod that doesn't go schizo mode or blue balls you with a bad written ending (*Ahem* Beyond the Boulder Dome), episode 1 is still my favorite, doing Mafia work in Vegas is really good and the scenarios/dungeons you made are really rich, most of the mods out there are really lackluster (for example, they just a tunel with 5 enemies with no trees, no jars, no chairs, no details to make it vivid) while yours are rich but not overwhelming, it's downright my top 5 favorite quest mods
Its great to see that after so many years the community is still producing new content for this game. As someone who's favorite game is New Vegas I see this as an absolute win.
I like to idea of more fnv mods using fallout 1 and 2 travel instead of actually walking or fast travel. creating small but compact levels instead of a giant world is not only easier but justifies the world space, where in reverse an open world can create swaths of walking through nothing to get to a couple thing nearby that are kinda interesting.
See but that's what 00s development was all about. Corridor shooters with beautiful set piece cutscenes to set the stage as you load in. Lots of great details but there's not a lot of space to play. Open worlds became popular because it IS in fact what gamers want. However, in a post BotW/Elden Ring world the sandboxes are fairly sculpted and filled in
@@qwopiretyu Well, there is a compromise: instead of a single giant open world, you have multiple open mid-size regions and move between them using some sort of fast travel or world-map system. Fallout 1/2 was sorta there, although few of the 'regions' got large enough, and it can be done in 3D (see for example Might and Magic VI to IX).
Rose City Tales sounds awesome, I was gutted when the Frontier rework was cancelled, is there anywhere to go for updates on it like a discord, hyped for Nuevo Mexico even though I'm going to miss playing a deranged mailman, hopefully, someone will make an add on so once you've finished your story in Mexico you can continue in the Mojave, the chosen's way is awesome and I'm honestly shocked no one has done a Fallout 2 remake until now, really hyped for The Odyssey always a sucker for a good mod with snow in it, The Gift is going to be awesome going off Rikku's past work.
Unfortunately, I think the Frontier stopped doing updates and their discord is locked down, hence why no one really knew this information. At most, they have a twitter, but it's not too active. I have a link in the description for that, as well as the other projects.
I’m frustrated that only the some guy series is worth playing story wise even though people talk shit about bounties 3. Most quest mods have a lot of potential like the overseer’s stuff but him lisping for the whole first three of his mods makes me hate them and the overly “dark and edgy” writing doesn’t really land. I like the high desert and parts of Eliza like working for free side club owners. Everything else is kind of annoying.
@@burnttoaster6313it has so much potential, the worldspace, gear & vehicles are amazing, there doesn’t even have to be a main questline, just a few decent side quests and I’m happy. & playing as anyone other than your Courier was stupid.

Hi there, I'm probably late but I'd like to let you know that the enthusiasm and mild inflection in your voice is actually very pleasant to listen to. It really made me looking forward to all of the projects you've shown in this video.
Hey you're the guy who made Alone in the Dark mansion mod (and its remake with a different name too, I think). Always been a fan of your supernatural horror mods, and the supernatural aspect of Fallout in general. Is there any chance we'll get to see more work of that type from you in the future?
Yeah, guilty as charged, that was me. Glad you liked them! You might like Come Wander with Me. That mod has plenty of that horror focused content, but it isn't the primary focus of the whole mod. It should release sometime later this year.
Props for working for that plug lol. Could've just put your mod at the beginning, but it's cool that you saved it. Can't wait to play the last episode.
News update for the mods! The Frontier rework is back and is still being work on with the old project lead giving updates on their discord. Fallout Nuevo Mexico is not canceled, those in charge have put the mod on hiatus due to real life problems. All other mods, Ashfall, Tales of New Reno 3, The Chosens Way, The Odyssey, Come Wander with Me, and Revelation Blues are still being worked with slow updates. Unable to find news on The Gift, maybe dead, maybe not, if someone has info would be appreciated.
I laughed so hard when i watched the part for Tales of New Reno, had you insult this "cellblock psycho", only to notice a second later that you are in fact this very person XD.
The some guy series is getting a remaster by Roy Battarian and it’s unbelievable. The first new Vegas bounties legendary edition is already out and it’s definitely worth replaying.
It looks like Nuevo Mexico might be shut down, as they just completely removed every single video they had in the channel and deleted their twitter account
Your coverage was super insightful and I'm so happy for how you did Ashfall and TNR3. How you and DocofPeppers made The gecko model for Ashfall blows me away every time❤
An aspect not only that makes me like about expanded explorable areas/regions, but also having additional weapons added. I wouldn't mind a few more revolvers and lever actions added, specifically for 10mm and 9mm.
Woah! These look so cool. I recently started adding mods to my New Vegas for the first time and have a long list of quest mods to check out. It's so cool to see that more of these projects are being made even after 13 years. I'm just curious if there's been any updates or if these mods are still being worked on?

hey all, on January 1st, 2024 i plan to start modding for New Vegas. i'll be doing a variety of smaller mods to familiarize myself with the GECK, and then i'll be moving onto a major project of my own. what little i am willing to divulge about said project, is for one thing, the project is called Battle For The Big Apple. there will be multiple factions. multiple endings including a Wild Card and Peacekeeper option. and more references than you can shake a martini glass at. i'll be aiming to bring a New Vegas styled experience in a lore friendly manner, to one of my favorite games of all time.
Very Interested to see if the Infamous Fallout the Frontier mod might actually be able to redeem the stain it left of the Modding Community, i will certainly keep my eyes peeled, especially cus i love snowy areas

0:36 That's because we NV enjoyers got burned up by dissapointment(Fallout New California) after dissapointment(Frontiers...) from Mega mods. Will Nuevo Mexico be better? Ashfall? Idk, but my expectations are very low to not get dissapointed again 😢

@@NateGo3sLoneSurvivor yeah sure but theres also tons of projects that didnt.
And new california isnt even finished.
@@NateGo3sLoneSurvivor you know what more often than not means right
@@NateGo3sLoneSurvivor you know what more often than not means right
@@kiwi4779 im pointing out the most well-known projects have had a history of releasing. projects who don't pick up steam seem to be abandoned while projects like fnc, frontier, and salt lake stories do release. it might be that they don't have the morale, team numbers, and support to keep making the project
They are community mods. Extreme quality like FN-V is bound to be rare. You cant expect every modder to also be fantastic writers excetera. The best I’ve played is enderal
New California wasn’t that bad
@@fakuhu178 What's FN-V mod?
@@lamb_link I mean New California is alr if you ignore lack of side quests, and only include certain parts of main quest (like Peak Vault section in beginning)
Don't get me wrong, New California main quest is salvageable but man it feels raw, bad kind and wish they'd finish it cuz it has potential
one day your mods should be lore
Doing my first TTW mega-modded build and I'm wondering which ones or how many of these I could jam into that. The more the better! As long as they're not RIDICULOUSLY lore unfriendly.
The fallout hawai mod feels like the islands from subnautica 1 just bigger
Personally, I prefer to not hype mods to much since we can't even be sure if they'll end up releasing at all, but it's good to at least know which projects are on the works.
There's also large star wars overhaul
6:47 W-was that Dagoth Ur in vault 13???
I had a bit of difficulty finding footage of that Fallout 1 remake mod, so I snagged a bit of footage from Mickey D's channel.
