I have used a wash on mirrorchrome in the past to give it a weathered look as for sealing the chrome I have not found anything that will work that won’t fltten the look
Im learning so much from you !! im starting to fix statue as well in training wheels. But i need some advice. One of the crack statue or cheap statue i bought off has a weird issue. The magnet is flip upside down and its pushing the hands connecting to the arm. My question is how do we remove magnet from a statue without damaging too much of it. Thank you so much !!! I hope to learn more from you !
You know my friend I read somewhere that you can soak it with something and loosens the magnet but I just can’t remember what plus of course you don’t want to ruin the paint so what I have always done is a Dremel around the magnet with the thinnest bit until it comes out and then use putty to set the new magnet in

Now im waiting for expoxy scuplt to arrived from us and ill start learning how to repair the statue like your video! Thank you for motivating me to follow this path.
This is the Crayola silly putty,i 've try other masking putty brands,but silly putty Original from Crayola is far the best to use(diffferent colors but same product). Vince Vell used it too,he is another youtubers like Rafael,two great artists ! I hightly recommand you to by the big egg of 1 pounds. I living in France and have to order silly putty from ebay,hope it helps...👍
No,you can use it a lot of time the same silly putty quantity,a little trick is to cover putty the most with a transparent plastic sheet used for food(cling film wrap for food)to prevent putty absorbing to much paint or varnish in spray bomb or airbrush . For exemple with 3 little eggs of putty,i worked 2 years on more of 40 resin statue,kit,etc.. When the putty will be too much dirty ,full of paint or varnish,you can make a test on paper or finger,and if putty apply give stains,use is finish. For masking,Crayola silly putty is the best !👍😊
Pretty nice but the silver is a little too clean, the yellow is way too clean and the red is also to clean. It's too matted and clean, needs to be weathered up more but it's pretty nice as long as the Clint's likes it

Molotow chrome could be a better option. You can use with de air brush and the results are real chrome. Anyway, incredible job paint.
