My mother took many pills and medication to abort me but it all failed. The doctors assured her that the baby will die in his early years so she took me far from her side at the age of 3 just not to see me with her eyes as I pass away. I stayed with my tough aunty and grandma. I survived and they told me I can never graduate high school with good result and can't even further. I stayed at home for nine years before putting my self up for further studies and I will be graduating coming June with good academic performance. I know I'm dead in the house but in Yeshua Jesus I am alive and my eyes will see Him. I'm above 30 years

In 2019 I held my 90 year old Dad's hand as he died, and played this song on my phone in the background. Without grandeur, so humbly and quietly, my Dad left his body in those few minutes. It was well with his soul. He loved and served Jesus Christ all his life. He was, is, saved. What a privilege. Thank you for writing this masterpiece X

Written by Horatio Spafford in 1876. After he lost his 4 year old little boy in the great Chicago fire. Then while dealing with the aftermath, he sent his wife and 3 daughters ahead to England on the SS Ville de Havre. They were to meet up to help DL Moody with outreach in that nation. The ship sank, killing his daughters. His wife, grief stricken, Telegramed him. As he sailed near the site of the disaster, he wrote the now immortal words. He later went on to become a missionary in Jerusalem, loved and respected by all that knew him.
Thank you SO much for that history. It is INDEED well with our soul if we have repented of sin and taken Jesus to be our Lord and Savior. And time is running out.

Five years ago, my Dad suddenly got sick. During his sickness, I played this song every single day, declared it, prayed and believed God would heal my Papa. Unfortunately exactly six months later, he died. I felt let down by God and I couldn't listen to this song, until today. I've struggled with grief since my Papa's passing.
Today, I'm reminded, it is well with my soul.

I too have been fighting addiction. How do you handle the constant offers and threats? I read and pray. I have tried to get along with everyone, but it seems some are not happy for me. I pray for God to release me from this struggle. He knows I am loyal and can't turn away someone in need. But the Devil tries to use this to get to me.

Just lost both my parents in under 5 months. They were born 4 months apart and died almost the same. Proves they d done everything together in life including dying. My heart is so broken right now. I’ve been diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma. Stage three, splits twice, extremely aggressive. I’ve had a stem cell transplant, and I’m healthy enough to work full time, but my clock is ticking. My son is ten and has a brain injury from a bad birth. He needs me. My wife needs me. I don’t want to leave them. It feels like I’m abandoning them. This song helps me. Over and over it helps me. Thank you for making the short rest of my life bearable. Who knows? Maybe God will allow me to stick around. “Through it all, it is well.”

On August 14th I had triple bypass heart surgery, I was laying in bed one night after the surgery and felt tied up and trapped with all the iv lines, drain tubes and heart monitor. I felt panicked, like I had to get up out of that bed. But you can't just get up. I got my phone and started listing to this song, I laid the phone on my chest and thanked God for my second chance on life and for being with me through this.

It's not true. Everything can't be okay. At least not for me. My broken heart will never be healed. Even god couldnt do that. I am still crying over some people, and it's been almost one year. Youd think youd stop crying in that time. But no. I'll never get over them. Yes, my heart is still broken.. by multiple people. Even god can't heal it. It's impossible. I have fallen in love with a new one and i love him so much. But i'll never stop crying over them. (And even that new one is someone i will never have). So i'm still crying over at least three people (actually even more) and no my heart can't be healed completely. I'm broken forever. No matter how many times i pray, i just cry and cry over them. Again and again. I will never stop feeling for them. It can't be erased. Nothing can heal it or erase it. Nothing, no one, not god, or anything else. Nothing. I'm going to hurt for the rest of my life. It's something that can't be fixed. No matter what anyone says. I know people only mean well, but this is not the truth for everyone so it kinda annoys me that yall say everythings gonna be okay because it's NOT going to be okay. Not for everyone. Some people can let go, but i can't. Ever. I CAN'T stop hurting. What you're saying isnt true.
Also, i doubt he even has a plan for me. Probably that is just bs.. or it seems like if theres a plan its only about hurting me more and more, with new people and new heartbreaks. Even when the previous ones never healed.
@@Ankku98 I'm sorry that you will have to go through so much of those hurts, but I can tell you , you can be heal if you are willing to. Making a conscious decisions to heal can be a very important step to take. If we are always holding on to the past hurts, we can never move on forward. When I think of it, trying to make up life again from the scratch after losing almost many of the things can sure hurting, but if we keep holding to that past, we can never make room for new things to happen . Forgiving ourself for the wrong mistakes, or forgiving others for hurting us so bad, will not occur over night, but eventually it will begin erase from our hearts slowly if we pray and make our decision to move on. For me personally , after I went through very hard difficulties, with absolutely no single hope lost, after very bad mistreatment from friends or so called families, after losing my health completely for two years which resulted in loss of my future, my career , after losing my love ones due to sudden calamities, it took me almost two years to forgive to those who hurt me . Those days I was so bitter , don't even want to talk about it, so bitter for others for hurting me, at the same time felt so pity for myself, for having to go through such circumstances. Right after that, I went through huge financial loss, having to go through very hard times. Having to go through all those things , I lost completely three years forgiving the hurts, but now I can tell you, I'm getting so much better, healing is still on the process, but still then I'm doing ok. So What I am requesting you is to take one step at a time , and move on slowly. Shouldn't expect drastic change, but definitely it does if we are willing to. In this world there are so much of hurts and sadness, and we will have to accept it, it took me so long to accept the realities of life. So my friend please stay strong and move on, you can be heal and happy again. Prayers for you..

Robert, my heart hurts for you. My wife passed on June 2nd of this year. I know our hurts and pain are not the same. No can ever understand what you or I are going through. My grief keeps me in touch with her. Crying every night for her. Though our tears flow abundantly hear on earth, God assures us that they'll be no tears in His Heaven. So cry, for God sees your tears and collects every drop. I can only imagine what they're experiencing in our Father's House. I pray Lord keep you and bless you and yours, may His face shine upon you. I am the only one left in my family of 4. I miss the all so much sometimes, but I know that they are in heaven with the Lord. I was ready to go home years ago. God did not think so and had other plans for me. Now I have seven in my house hold. My wife and I have been blessed with good jobs and amazing loving kids. We all know the Lord and will be in heaven one day.

Two years ago I saw a strength I never thought possible. My wife was diagnosed with cancer and this song became her battle cry. As I struggled with doubt, she carried me through the fear. Even through my doubts, God delivered my wife through the storm and brought us to the other side into calm waters. I realized that no matter what happens, God is always there with a plan for a better future, a future that has me yearning to always be His vessel. He is my God and my love.

I decided to withdraw from university and God placed a Network Marketing opportunity along my path which I took up.

My younger sister lost her darling husband to Covid last week. Their kids were only 7- and 1-year-old. They all tested positive, too. They were locked down in their house so they could only watch the funeral thru facebook video call. My heart hurt so much for them. I'm based in another city, the rest of my sisters are, too, so we can only grieve with them thru video calls and messages. I looked around for some solace and this is one song that kind of comforted me. Every time I play this, I cry my heart out. I can only hope my sister gets there soon, when she could say "It is well with my soul." Meanwhile, we could only pray for her, for my stricken nieces, for his broken parents, his shocked siblings, and my whole family who accepted him into our fold 16 years ago.

On Friday, January 10, 2020 at 6:20 pm I stepped outside my apartment to see if the constant weather alert going off on my phone was legitimate. I watched a neighbor directly across the street from me walk nervously back and forth across his lawn. As I watched him from my own front lawn, I heard my phone scream TAKE COVER NOW ! My neighbor had made up his mind and races to his truck and takes off while a tornado warning siren begins to scream in the darkness and a distinct sound of a fast-moving train can be heard over the siren. I am meanwhile asking the L-rd to use me to bless this whole neighborhood by trusting HIM to strengthen me to stand against this tornado. I look in the direction of the train sound and louder than the tornado siren I shout to the storm:
TORNADO ! Be still…disperse In the Name Above All Names ! In Yeshua’s Name ! Winds be still and all tornadoes in this area disperse IN THE NAME OF YESHUA NOW !
Almost immediately the siren stopped and I no longer heard the train sound. The rain was whirling all around and thunder sounded but NO train sound and the siren had stopped.

I can testify that I have seen Jesus heal the sick ,the blind see ,the hopeless got hope , the rejected ones became corner stones. Jesus has captured my heart and if people ask me what this God has than for me, I tell them to look at my life 🥺🥺🥺

God knows this song is hard for me as it has often not been well with me. But I am learning to sing it more as a prayer that in the end I can say with confidence "it is well with me." Part of the lyrics are from a poem written by a man who sailed to America and later sent for his wife and daughters. Some time later he was told that his family and household belongings were caught in a storm and lost in the middle of the sea. He hired a boat to take him to the supposed location where all was lost and he read this poem. I hope this encourages someone today.
